In case no one else has said, theres a bug which makes marine animals in jwe2 starve. Basically, the animal (I've had this happen to Megs and Mosas, not sure if it happens to other marines) will swim up to a shark feeder to eat (dunno if it happens to others, but I've only used shark feeders, bc I've only used megs and moses) and they'll get stuck. The game will act as if the animal is going to eat, but it won't. It'll stay swimming in place until you exit that save and load back in. The animal will literally starve to death. You can't tranq it, you can't move the feeder, you *need* to exit the game. You can save before reloading though, so make sure to do that. Once you reload, it'll eat and then go back to swimming. Just wanted to warn you bc I lost a few megs to this glitch bc I didn't know what to do. Poor Guppy, I miss you every day
Yes!!! I’ve had this happen in lagoons and aviaries. The lagoon you can at least tranquillize and move but the aviary you can’t move them within the same place. Maybe we need a quarantine building like Planet Zoo?
Something I kind of wish more zoo games had, and especially this one, is an animal lockout. For example, in a hurricane, zoos will have their animals in an indoor area that's more secure, and safe. This is also used to clean enclosures while keeping the keepers safe. This game would have benefited from that. So when you get the storm warning you could have procedures in place to prevent a dinosaur break out.

The lockouts aren't automatic in real zoos either, but rely on the animals listening to their emergency recall signal, whatever it is. Sometimes it fails, and the animals just refuse to go in. So you could definitely still have dinosaur breakouts in the game even with lockout shelters, as long as you gave them characteristics that make them harder to lure or herd in. Like the abovementioned claustrophobic, but also hard to train, weak appetite, intelligent (I could see velociraptors learning to avoid being locked in after a couple of storms) etc.
I'm pretty sure the Ranger Teams being unable to reach their destination is due to the vegetation. This game has some weird vegetation/vehicle collision interactions where you can't even drive through small shrubbery. A good idea is (even if it makes the habitats look a bit strange, and the park a little barren) to have a clear path between their work and rest points, with no scenery whatsoever around and in between them
I'd say Poseiden, Neptune or Aegaeon (God of violent sea storms), or Jörmungandr would be good names for the Mosasaurus. Also, still hoping for the Mosa Motel at some point.

Upon further reflection I realized that I was comparing the mosaurous to animals like dolphins and orcas which do like to be in groups, but the mosaurous is a marine reptile not a marine mammal. We don't have a lot of information about the ancient marine reptiles but if you compare them to the closest things we got like Sea Turtles, alligators/ crocodiles/ect, and just regular reptiles, for the most part they are all very solitary animals and do not live in groups or need excess social interactions. So I think it would be best for the health of the mosaurous to keep their population to 1, but I still think it would be a cool idea to add some of the marine reptiles to the enclosure for realism (because irl if you spend millions to build a giant man made lake I think you would put more animals in then just the mosaurous).
If you click on the ranger post you can easily assign the rangers, mvu and capture helicopter. It’s so much simpler than clicking on each separately. Also I found that using the “p” key for the paths so you don’t have to click on the UI. Just thought I would mention in case you didn’t know.
I feel like having the monorail track over the lagoon is very dangerous. Seeing how massive the mosa is, it feels like it can very easily just bump into a pillar and topple the entire track, or it could just jump out and chomp down on the track itself, I don't know if the mosa will ever actually do that, but it still feels like a huge risk
An issue I encountered in the first Jurassic World Evolution game was that when there was a large amount of forest terrain directly in front of the gate, it hindered the ranger teams. This was due to the ranger team A. I detected the forest area as being undrivable, and having it surrounding the gate completely confused the ranger teams. I fixed this by just making a path with the 'remove forest' tool (I can't think of what it is called) and removing the forest from the gate's immediate vicinity. I haven't played much JWE 2, so I'm not sure if this is still an issue, but if you haven't tried it already, I'd recommend giving it a shot!

I absolutely adore these videos and am so excited when a new one goes up. I play JWE2 extremely haphazardly so it feels so nice to see someone take their time and make things look beautiful and planned out. I was wondering, @pawsbuild if there’s a reason you don’t use the summon and send commands with the rangers and prefer honking the horn. Both are good, I was just curious.
maybe next video you could create an aviary zone or try to add a/some remote viewing galleries in the raptor area since you can't really do something with the spheres and jeeps without it seeming really dangerous and maybe see to add a viewing gallerie in the water for the thrill seekers

Not even close dude. There are over a hundred creatures in JWE2, and only like 30-40 of them have actually been featured in a film. Every film creature is in the game, but not the other way around.
You can have multiple mosasaurs in a lagoon. And sometimes they do a cute social animations kinda like whales.

I haven’t had it happen to my aviary, and I wasn’t able to tranquillise the lagoon animals… so there must be multiple strains of the bug O.O
Fun fact: mosa was suppose to appear in jp3 in scraped scene with tank that contained 2 of them. Still wasted oportunity to make it semicanon
