In short:
You could technically practise on 5 minutes a day but obviously more is better (an extra 5 mins a day is already 2x that amount) and you probably can't expect too much. Having said that though, one area that you can gain some decent progress even when you aren't around a cube/doing something else is coming up with words for letter pairs (particularly difficult ones) when doing some less mentally demanding activities.
I'm very bad at 3bld, i memorize in like 8 minutes
@@aitbelaidbadr8347 patience and practice ! (may help)
my memo is 1:40 do you have tios on how I can get sub 1 memo coz my execution is ok its like sub 1 sooo yeh
I practice 10 mins a day, about three solves
When I’m driving around, I use the letters on number plates to practise letter pairs. (I still keep safe while driving)
E.g. EBW
I would turn to EB BW WB BE which in my mind would be “an ElBow BoWs at a WeB of a BEe”
hahahah nice, I actually had times where I'd sometimes look at number plates/signs and randomly think of something similar too
Jack Cai sounds like that super chill teacher that everybody wants to have
I definitely need to make more and better letter pairs now, I think I've been in a BLD hiatus for too long now, while focusing on mega 😂
I am South African and I learned to Blind Solving from you Jack. I am waiting for Speedcubing Competition next year 😎thanks buddy for tutorials. They help worldwide keep them popping 🔥
Fellow ZA blindsolver here - excited to see you at the next comp! :D
I plan on a comp with all events sometime when things get better in SA, prolly only next year yeh.
Can you speak Afrikaans John?
Duncan Hobbs I hope to see you too man I mostly compete in Johannesburg Competitions. Hopefully I will make it to Cape Town next year 😆 where do you compete mostly?
Dylan Swarts that would be great let’s have fun and break records 🔥
I think the only dislike comes from someone who averages 6 minutes...
Yep lol
😂😂
Thanks for your tips, you are awesome
I just started learning 3BLD this month and have been learning so much from your videos Jack.
Thanks for all the advice and insight!
Fluffy guy XD
Could you make a memo tips ep. 2, I have a hard time memorizing
I have this memo tip idea I have in mind for my next vid which I think you might find useful 👍
Best outro I guess
I have plenty of time to practice bld but I get bored of it after 2 solves
he just woke up from sleep.
hey Jack , for m2 method what do you think about "r2 R2" ? ie, shooting to V : U (push left index) R2 (thumb on buttom) U' r2 R2 U (right index pull) R2 U'
seems pretty fluent to me, but nobody ever talks about that m2
Lars Larsen
I think Rw' M' Rw is better :D
@@jihanlee6891 that doesnt work
Hey Lars,
I'd say doing it like the standard double flick or like L then Lw' M' at the same time (pulling with ring finger from A), is a bit faster (just tried timing it)
Bypez
Sorry R' M' Rw 👌
@@JackCaiCubing Thanks for trying!
Excuse me to challenge once again, shooting to P this time. Standard alg has tons of regrip
How about: x' U', then "R2 U (index pull) R2' Rw2 (mirrored from other example) U' R2' U (index push). No RH regrip, and the m2 is similar to the Lw'LM' - just placing the ringfinger on the ending sticker right away
Hii jack I'm a huge fan of you,.. ❤😘 💕Actually I want to know how to keep track of pieces during inception I saw your blind fold tutorial there you advised to track pieces with figures.. But i want to know is there any other way. I'll be very thankful if you help me out with it😘,
Hey,I'm wondering right now,why haven't I already subbed to your channel?
I'm doing it now ;))) 👀
Do you do blind??? What do you avg?
@@AnatoleVolongo Non,mais je veux le essayer cette année :)
Et toi?
@@mccardrixx5289 tu l'as déja essayé?
How to practice 3BLD on 5 minutes a day:
Step 1: Add more time
Jack: told his secret about practising 3BLD
Everybody else: ladies and gentleman, we got him

Hey Jack I noticed you were replying to people and I wanted to take a chance and ask. When I’m doing several solves in a row how should I prevent a memo from the previous solve corrupting my current memo? I’m not that fast and when I’m recalling during execution I sometimes recall a letter pair from a previous solve.
Use the locI method and place your memo for different solves in different rooms of your house
What Duncan said 👍 Doesn't specifically need to be different rooms but separate locations is good
For very short term, I look at things around me (stackmat, bottle, pen, a scrambled cube) so that I am prepared to put one image on each thing. For the next solve I have to find other things (chair, shoes, etc..). I can usually do 4-5 solves like this before I ran out of objects 😬
that is like double the amount of practice time than just doing 5 minutes. yes, yes it is
don't mind me flexing my mathematical genius 💪💪
Great video and tips! Next, can you do "How to Practice 5BLD on 3 Minutes a Day"?
Hey jack, what song r u listening during bld?

Good content yo
thanks yo

Love ur vedio👍
,👍👍
Sir,what was your first 3bld success
like 27 mins hahah
Me seeing this Vedio having an average of 10 min
I can't even solve blindfolded maybe I can practice 3x3 for 5 minute?
I use an Android app called MemoGenerator which generates a set of letter pairs for blind solving. This enables me to practice executing a solve without a cube.
It takes me 5 mins for 1 solve 😂
How do you ensure a success for every solve?
Jeff Lim you don't
I still can't do this unfortunately but you can work towards making it more likely primarily through figuring out what went wrong by figuring out why you DNF 👌
@@juliancuber i get around 50 dnfs in a row... not a single success
@@10bjefflim33 wtf
new video: eating lemons while solving hahahahaha
Yo jack how r u
My pb is 5:02 😢
It’s 2:54 now so yeah
Can I avrage sub one minute with m2/op ?
I think so, watch j perm, he used to use m2/op and it was sub-1, but now uses 3-style
😘💕
Hi
yo
Omg, this is the best week, you answered me 2 times😱
@@aitbelaidbadr8347 you mean 3? 😱
xd, you are the best
Practice is spelled wrong in the title.
it's australian/british spelling although since practice is probably more common I might actually change it anyway hahah
Jack Cai oh wow, I didnt know that! Sorry!
Jack!! Sup
yo
Lol i average 9 so can’t use this rn😂. But i practice like 4 solves a day
tbh as long as you use letter pairs which is pretty much everyone these days, you can definitely do this. Like tracing is probably your biggest area of improvement but doing this could save all that time you spend thinking up a word for some weird letter pair in a solve 👍
@@JackCaiCubing yea, right now i'm trying to make up good and easy to remember words for my letter pairs, so memo will be much easier :)
Lemons are... tart
Practise?
Australian (and probably british) spelling
You need a hair cut
waiting till lockdown is over for one hahah
