Murphy Award: Surprise Presentation to Purdue AAE head William Crossley

Purdue School of Aeronautics and Astronautics Head William Crossley had his "Senior Seminar" course interrupted Friday afternoon to learn he was a recipient of Purdue University's Murphy Award, the University's highest undergraduate teaching honor.
"I try to make sure everybody feels like they belong here," Crossley said. "I'm easy to approach and full of good dad jokes."
The award is accompanied by a $10,000 cash award and induction into Purdue's Teaching Academy, which provides leadership for the improvement of undergraduate, graduate and outreach teaching.
