Thank you for sharing your knowledge so freely! I cannot wait to give this a try. I have been admiring your incredible talent for bringing life and drama into your sculptures ever since I first saw one of your fairies a few years ago.
Hi! You did a fantastic job of yours (I follow your channel) I made a 10 inch fairy and it was pretty good. I don't think jewellery is my thing. I just don't care enough to make them perfect but I'm loving making wire fairies
A zillion times thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills of something so evocative and wonderful. In fairy heaven and it is the best place to be!!
Gracias
I assume I can't jump into this as a hobby, can I? I've looked through your work and think from the videos I've seen so far what your doing is amazing(art is beautiful in all aspects) and your explanations well enough for someone to try this. It's just that it all looks so very professional.
actually, you can. of course, you cant just start doing masterpieces like good old robbie here, but if you start small, yeah, you can, i made one of these with gardening wire, it doesnt have to be perfect, you can just learn as you go along.
I’ve been doing this back and forwards for year’s, but I just use thin cheap wire, and I just make my figures in a smaller size. The same way when you make a wire sketch before you make sculpture
I am in the midst of a similar creation (not fairy)intended to be a weather vane, body in the wind and all weight bearing on the pivot of hand and one arm. You have given me excellent insight not only structurally but also body dynamics. My base materials and skeleton are nearly identical but I had it in my mind to facilitate some sort of clothing to flesh it out. Weight in my application needs to be minimized but I find your look appealing. Thank you very much for sharing your skill and experience.
i am in love.. you do such beautiful work..im following and trying to do it but its really hard when you have barely strength in your hands.. thank u for videos I love it
It's mad how we relate to anything human-ish. As soon as you put the skeleton in the vice, I just thought 'oh poor girl, that looks terribly uncomfortable' 😂😂
Beautiful work Robbie. I would really love to try this. Is the wire rust proof? I made fairies from polymer clay a few years ago but want to try this for outdoor sculptures for myself and a few beach neighbors. I will be purchasing your book as well. May I ask where you get your wire as well? I live in Canada.
Hi and THANK YOU for this and all of your videos! I just ordered your book and am excited to read it. Can you please tell us where to obtain the propane torch used for the rebar (at 21:50) ? This handheld tool would be useful for rebar (obviously) and so many other art projects. I have looked exhaustively here in the US and there is nothing I can find that comes close to this handheld configuration that can adapt to a larger fuel cylinder, as you have. Here we seem to have only three choices: A small general purpose propane or mapp torch, a rather long wand and oversized burner made for destroying vegetation, or burners made to be placed inside metal forges -- all of which dissimilar to yours. Any suggestions?
Pretty easy to see why these are spendy to buy. I'd love to have one but my budget will probably only allow a print or papercut or two! Beautiful work!
I have no word to describe your work of art. It belongs in the Smithsonian Institution. Btw, what is the least amount of man hours in you piece, and what is the most man hours you have put into one piece? Thanks for sharing.
Hi Robbie really excited by your work and would like to follow all of the videos I have video 5 and 8 where do I find the other videos on the fairy in question in video 5 and 8 Thank You
1/2 pouce?
Just wondering where you would get the stand where you place the fairy into, I would like to make this but much smaller. Or is there something else I could use as a substitute to the stand?
Thanks! A guide to sourcing malleable stainless steel wire in the UK would be very much appreciated. I can hardly wait. Really enjoying the journey of learning about wire fairies.
I feel like a terrible person for saying this.... but you look like Trey Gowdy if he got plastic surgery and a hair transplant. 😂😭 But you sir are amazing !
I've ordered the whole set of your fariys 2 years ago and they sent me tiny plastic crap " I spend Over $100 hundred dollars . I was very disappointed because there wasn't a return address. 🥺 to send it back . I really wanted to decorate my back yard .
Hello, unfortunately many scammer have stolen our images to sell the plastic crap you’re talking about. I’m very sorry you have fell victim to this. I would advise contacting your payment. Provider to see if you can be refunded.

What kind of wire do you use for the skeleton?

Curious how many hours this sculpture took you? From the first wire bend to the last. Not including the design stage. 😊
Muito bom amigo. Parabéns pelo seu trabalho.
Te acompanho no Pinterest.
Abraço.
Me inscrevi no canal.

What wire did you use and size…thanks
1/2 pouce?
How did you work out distance between joints? Compared to height....
where do I find a stainless steel reinforced bar?
i m trying to do something like this but like 30cm high.. does size change the basic Skelton?
Merci.
Seu trabalho é incrível
You may want to invest in a rebar bender/cutter
Just a thought. Love the videos.
Do u are a monster omg , i can believe this amazing job

You could try a heavy outdoor umbrella base.
Incredible
Where do you source your malleable steel wire from please? It would really help to know this from your experience. Thank you
we are about to publish a guide for wire

Good video, excellent subject coverage, but the AUDIO sucks. Please edit your work. Your audience loose half the pleasure of the experience. Yikes!!
