I love the Handy Phone. The hotel we stayed at singapore had them. Was able to take it out with us when we were site seeing to make calls (also had free international calls as well), bring up maps wheb we got lost (which happened alot) and post to social media all for free. Meant that we did not need to worry about getting sims for our phones. Alot of the hotels there had them.
I love that handy phone thing! Very nice room, I love the colors. It has plenty of storage. But that balcony! How cool is that? I love that you added the recommend label! Very nice!
I'm not sure why I asked you for hotel recommendations when I was watching one! lol When I wrote to you below, I was planning a birthday transatlantic out of Barcelona for June of 2020. Well, we all know what happened to that! After four years, I'm finally going to Barcelona for a transatlantic and I did book this hotel! I'm hoping you liked it and that the area is safe.
Lovely room! I like the little (almost) juliet balcony. We just came back from a long weekend at the Gold Coast (south of Brisbane) and the balcony at the place we stayed was massive! We could have hosted a party out there but it was nice to just sit and watch the ocean 😊
Interesting balcony - close to your next door neighbor! Looked like a nice hotel room!! Excellent bathroom door (better than the Super 8 with the glass door with the hole in it)!
We stayed at the H10 Port Vell in Barcelona pre-cruise in Oct 2015, and I highly recommend it! Walking distance to the cruise terminal shuttle, amazing brunch with hot entree and buffet included, Cava as you check in, very nice room. I don't think there was a balcony, but all in all a great option for a pre or post-cruise stay!
Thanks for the recommendation! We just booked a TA that's leaving from Barcelona and we've never been there before. Our original TA from Southampton was cancelled so we had to change it. Now the re-planning begins. Do you know what the weather is like end of Oct-beginning of November?
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides Good suggestion, thank you! I'm glad it at least doesn't rain much, since I'm trying to pack light and we are going to be in Rome for a week prior. Greetings from MN!
Morgan, Are you going on a Mediterranean cruise? I’m going in 2020 with RC? Which cruise line? RC was not my first choice but they had the best itinerary I was looking for.
We spent the most time in Baden-Baden but we also stayed in Munich, Nuremberg and Dortmund. We rented a car in Amsterdam and did a 3 week road trip. It was great and we seriously talk about moving there nearly every day since we got back almost a year ago. But we’re senior citizens and it isn’t an easy thing to do.
Hi Morgan. I'm looking for a recommendation on a really nice hotel in which to stay a few days before a cruise in June of 2020. My fellow cruisers tell me hotels are already filling up now! I'm going to be staying four nights and want an area that allows me to explore Barcelona. After staying here, would you recommend it for four nights? I like upscale and quiet and walkable. Thanks!
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides Thank you for your reply. It's booked solid for my dates. I ended up booking at the H10 Raco del Pi, which got good reviews on Trip Adviser. I book through Booking.com and their ratings are not reliable, though the prices are normally good. The hotel experience is so important to me, even if it's pre-cruise. Love your videos and you!
Can’t wait I’ll be in Barcelona in a few months!! We got an air bnb that was recommended from some friends on the ship mate app!
Looks like a very nice room. I like the balcony. That is a nice bonus. And a Morgan approved door, horray!

This is the first place I saw it and I think it's great!
My ideal cruise ship cabin will always have a balcony. But I'd be willing to try some inside cabins......a nice one..

This was the most helpful review. Thank you, I will be at this hotel soon 😊

Great balcony👍🏼
Happy that the bathroom is "Morgan Approved"! It's appears to be in a nice area where you can enjoy breakfast on the balcony.

Love that headboard; it doubles as an art piece! Yes, Morgan approved.
The room looked nice and clean so that's always a big plus.
Lol:
"... that's a luxurious amenity!
...Here's the crapper."
The last time I sat outside on a balcony was in Guatemala. I’ve never had a balcony room for a cruise.
Looks like a real nice hotel, did it have a restaurant . Always nice to have a balcony for a cocktail and watch the world go by.

It doesn't rain often in Barcelona, but it will most likely be cool. Bring a jacket and long pants for sure!

Great room tour thank you for sharing information about this hotel. Sincerely Adventures of David and Aaron
It cracks me up that you call it the crapper LOL!!!
We stayed at this hotel in May for 10 days and would definitely recommend it!
Was there a restaurant to have breakfast in ? I love hotel breakfasts ! 😊 🍳 🥐
I'm not sure, sorry!
Love the balcony

We were traveling around Germany & Austria last summer & stayed at Leonardo Hotels in a couple of places. They’re pretty nice and very reasonable.
What German cities did you visit?

Did you notice any major drawbacks? I will be in that area next summer
Looks really nice.
Can’t wait for the extended balcony room on my cruise in September!! Enjoy your balcony Morgan! (Do I get bonus points for using it twice😜😂)
Of course you do!
Just back from Barcelona today. We had a nice hotel the ngt before but an absolute disaster last ngt after our cruise #wreckedtiredtoday
Question how much is it per night. Looking to maybe book since I will be cruising next year
We booked it as part of a package with flights, so I can't tell you exactly how much we paid per night. Have you checked the hotel's website?
No but I will look it up today. Thank you
You're the only person on the planet that still does air quotes. You don't need to do that anymore.
What's an air quote?
@@younglady2789 the motion he makes with his fingers whenever he says Unofficial to imply it's "Unofficial" and not just Unofficial.
I think that's even MORE of a reason to do it!

I hope you get everything sorted with your cruise -I’m guessing it will be/has been cancelled 😔
Without sound I would have sworn that was a room on the ship.
Careful, I hear Barcelona is the pickpocket capital of Europe
