@@VideozForFun yeah, good teachers can make anything fun
agree
Jazz has never made sense to me before. This is so clean.
Her energy and passion are incredible!
Thank you so much! I am a classically trained pianist and this is the best and the most practical introduction to jazz I have ever heard! Well done! I feel so much more confident now. 😌😁
Me encanto la alegría que trasmites al enseñar a jugar con música. Así es esa combinación de acordes y tiempos es increíble. ❤️Jazz
I love, love, LOVE Sangah Noona! I've been a subscriber to her channel for awhile! This was the most simplistic explanation of a complicated style. It was very easy to follow, and Sangah's teaching style and encouragement makes it fun and entertaining as you learn! Bravo! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
She has become my second favourite, after Lisa! 😅 They both are just amazing at teaching, and creating interests! I loved this one so much! Ty ❤️
Now we just need to get them teaching together!
love the energy of this teacher :)
Inspiring, Sangah makes it look attainable, just take time and practice simple things. Learn a few more things. Practice. Incrementally add more, practice more. Then kinda scary when you see her put it together with even more things added. It would be nice to be able to play like that, I want to get better, but I'm glad I can listen to her play better than I ever will. I enjoy playing, learning, improving, but I really love listening to others too. Thank you Pianote and Sangah.
You are an amazing teacher, Sangah! Just the best way to learn piano 👍Thank you Sangah and Pianote! ♥
Sangah! What a pleasant surprise to find you on somebody else’s channel! And I have always wanted you to show us how you do the walking bass left hand. I look forward to seeing more of this. ♥
Love her enthusiasm.
This is simply great.. im classical pianist, my fingers tend to be heavy, accentuated..but in jazz, many parts hv to be in chill touch, still with velocity. Learning the techniques. Big big thanks for this vid!!!
Another practice lesson with Sangah, on Pianote!! Always a joy to sit through them 👏👏🔥🤩 Always engaging, precious, and insightful!

Your energy is fun! I play cornbread blues..aka Meanblack girl....dirtfloor blues. This lesson was informative.
My favorite Pianist!
Dear Sangah, great energy and great explanation - I did took notes as you recommended ! One question - I listened many time your “Hey Jude” interpretation, what a piece! I wonder if you can make a video on explaining what you did in making Hey Jude so beautifully Jazzy? Again, thanks for your efforts!
Meu terceiro dia com um teclado e estou abismado. A toda equipe do Pianote, vocês fazem parecer fácil. Parabens a todos os profissionais.
You're such a great teacher! Thank you for making this so simple and fun to start with.
Great lesson (again) from Sangah to help ‘jazz-up’ any song! Thanks Sangah and Pianote for such an incredible learning opportunity. 👍💟🎹
you are very very welcome!
"the secret to playing jazz is adding more notes" is the BEST and biggest 'secret' I ever learned for myself - just throwing in those handful of neighbor-notes instead of spacing everything evenly sounds so much cooler, more organic and changes the way you look at any key/fretboard!! Playing music becomes FREE and truly expressive again - I absolutely adore this and Lady Noona, you make music the way it's MEANT to be made - for FUN and satisfaction!!! 🙌🎶🎉✨
Edit: "you just made a jazz!" is now my favorite phrase and I will be using it from now on, THANK YOU
Omg I actually like her teaching !! She makes thing very clear and easy to follow
Learn Sangah Noona’s signature bass walk! It’s one of best to hear once it’s achieved. Thank you to you all. 👍🏼🙏😊💕🎹🎵
its her specialty!
Amazing chords, which miss out the root note in the right hand, I will be practicing this.
I love the way you get excited at the chord sounds, I do the same when I find a good one. Thank you for
Your tips. Ken in Scotland
Я в восторге! Спасибо большое!
You teach so beautifully, making learning a happy experience....
OMG - her explanations (Emb5) cracks me up. Great tutorial!
WHAT YOU'RE GIVING FOR FREE COULD HELP MANY FOR LIVING
Amazing !! Thank you so much !
Thanks Sangah Noona for sharing you talent and make it easy to learn. I"ll do it first slowly and step by step faster. God bless you and Lisa too. Yo
Love her style of teaching. Works for me.
I love ur energy ♥️
Thank you so much!
Wow!!! It make easy now than what i thought.. thanks....
Very useful.
Very clear how to generate a bass line match chords & jazz them up (9, 11#13 & the mysterious flat 5 which i never got).
Its bare bones but shows how to put meat on those bones. I thonk the idea is scalable & can be applied to any tune where you cant quite figure out what the bassist is doing.
Very encouraging, & long may you & lisa reign.!
Tnx.... From Bangladesh ❤️🇧🇩🇧🇩
You are simply AWESOME 🎉❤
Nobody better than Sangah. She is amazing!!
you are a VERY KNOWLEDGABLE and FACINATING PIANO PLAYER AND INSTRUCTOR and you are " jaaaaaaazy" and fun to learn from!!!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!
Fantastic ♥️ So beautiful playing 👌 And then bass walking ... next step after 1, 2, 3, 5 from last week, I love it 👍😊
figured that would be a good one to keep going with!

Es genial!
I just loved this lesson. Incredible.
Love the simple way you teach!!!
I love how you teach and play Sangah and feel as though I finally have a chance of getting into playing jazz. I have one thing that I’m slightly struggling with here. Could you please briefly explain the difference between 7th and 9th in major chords and dominant 7th and 9th in minor chords?
This is a great video but, to be honest, Sangah is a bit misleading here. When she says 'dominant seventh' she actually means 'minor seventh'. 'the 'dominant' is a chord built on the fifth note of the key/scale not a type of 7th. The seventh note in a dominant chord is always a minor seventh because it's actually the fourth note of the key/scale. Here though, the 'dominant seventh she sometimes wrongly refers to is actually NOT the dominant chord - which would be C. A D Minor chord in the key of F is actually the 6th/submediant chord. Basically, she should have said 'D minor 7th. To answer your question though, unless told otherwise, the 7th and 9th in a major chord are by default the 7th and 9th notes of its major scale and the 7th and 9th on a minor chord are by default the minor 7th and major 9th/2nd of its scale (the notes in its descending melodic minor scale) I hope that helps - sorry it's taken so long to explain!
Im loving the energy!
thank you for an awesome lesson
All of the teachers I have watched have great personality. I am looking forward to practicing all these lessons.
thanks a million! This will keep me busy the coming weeks and give my (hitherto untutored) improvisation a boost😊
