KTM Duke 200 Update! List of Current Mods & Accessories.
Here’s a video going over the mods and accessories that I’ve done to my KTM Duke 200. First up is the KTM Duke wheel tape. I think it looks better than the factory wheel stripes. Next I show my front fender wrapped in Avery Carbon Fiber. I upgraded my factory headlight bulb to an LED bulb for motorcycles. A big mod I get asked about are the Fenrir bar end mirrors. I think they are the best mirrors you can put on a motorcycle. Quad Lock is an accessory that I recommend for anyone with a motorcycle. It holds your phone in place so you can have GPS while you ride. I’m a big fan of TST Industries products, so I bought TST BL6 LED signals and installed them on my Duke 200. All of my ride video footage is taken with Insta360 cameras. Check out how I mount the camera on the front of my bike. I added frame sliders to my KTM Duke for crash protection, or maybe just because I like how they look. My awesome looking and sounding exhaust came from ARG Muffler. Listen to how good the mid pipe paired with a Leo Vince GP Corsa exhaust sounds on my Duke 200. Wrap it up with my KTM Ergo riders seat, tank pad and Yoshimura Fender Eliminator installed on my KTM Duke 200.

@@marksolis1977 It will get to 80 or so. Easy to do installs. Fender eliminator was fairly easy.

Nothing negative, just great sound. I think the bike has great power for only being a 200cc. No problems on the highway with it. Glad you subscribed! I appreciate!

I love your style with this bike! Great job. I’m considering selling my Grom for one. I’m hesitant because the Grom is a great little machine. Honda reliability. I’m not familiar with how reliable KTM’s are over the long haul.
I really liked the Duke 200. I had a Grom before it. I think the Duke is overall a more capable bike without being too crazy.
You can learn the fundamentals a little easier with this bike since it's almost a normal size naked so you can practice leaning in turns and actually get the full lean.
Looks good. Would you recommend the 200 for a rider that is 6’3?
Not sure. I'm 6ft and fit okay. Best best is to find one to sit on and see how you feel on it.
I have the 22 Grom and you got me wanting to buy one but there are none close to Ashland Ky. Beautiful bike !!
Awesome! 22 Grom is a great bike! Dukes are hard to come by right now. Even if you find one, most dealers are charging too much.

I was going to get the Grom but the Honda dealer ship near me wants almost 6k out the door so I been looking at dukes lol
@@dat3rdsideboy386 I can tell you that I like my Duke a lot more than my Grom! I mean the Grom was good, but the demand is too high, driving the price up. The Duke is much more capable and I feel more fun to ride.

Love the mirrors, what size are the bolts because I a bought different kind that are 7/8 22mm but they don’t fit on my 2022 Duke 200. The reason for the question is because the ones you have are showing same size
Not sure exactly. I just bought a kit that fit the bike and it worked.
Witch size of rubber did you use for your quad lock? Here in quebec it comes with a 22 - 25 or 27. So its eithe to small or to big for the handle

How did you wire up your tst industries turn signals? i got the flasher relay but cant figure out how to wire it all up. keeps blowing the fuse.
Are you wiring them to the original KTM signal connectors? Make sure you have the correct wires soldered or heat sealed in. If you are blowing a fuse, maybe you have a short somewhere?
When I try to go to the ARG website it says the site might be for sale and goes to a generic page. Do you by chance remember how you ordered from them?
Look them up on Facebook. That’s where they sell the exhausts.

Did you remap the ecu after exhaust install? I’m nervous to put on exhaust and damage if not remapped
No, you don't have to do that. Not sure why some people say you do, but this is just a pipe and exhaust, so it's not going to give the ECU any issues.
Any recommendations for a small but not just aesthetic windscreen?
I've considered a windscreen also, but have not found one that I really like yet. I will let you know if I find one.
if i want to install bar end mirror on my standarg handle grip. should i cut the grip? any other way?
You can either cut the rubber ends off the grips or completely remove the stock grips and replace with aftermarket grips.

It's a mid-pipe. Mine came with my exhaust kit.

I don't even have this bike anymore, but it's as simple as replacing the bulb.
Also how does the bike perform differently after you hit the 620 mile break in period? I’m at about a 100 and just wanted to know how much more I’d get out of it when I do hit 620?
The rev limiter lets you increase the RPMs, so you have more power. Bike is awesome, even on the highway.
@@ROBSOLUTELY also do you need to get it serviced for the limiter be removed?
@@drewski507 There's got to be a way to do it yourself, but I had the dealer do mine, along with the first oil change. From here out, I will do my own oil changes. Bike should be good as long as I maintain it well.
What size tyres did you install? Curious if how the size of the tyre affects the bike

Really nice ride! Wanted to buy one last spring but kept putting it off, and before I knew it winter showed back up. So, I’m not putting it off this year. My main reason is to reduce my fuel expense commuting to work. What mileage are you getting?

I have a KTM RC 390 now. Gas mileage with close to 90 MPH. Exhaust made no difference other than sound.
How’s the 390 treating you? How much different is it compared to the 200? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Sweet bike you have here!
@@smok3613 390 feels a bit different. The big windscreen cuts though the air better, so you don't feel it on you. I also think it's much more stable.
@@ROBSOLUTELY A windscreen would be nice! That’s the only negative I feel on the 200.😅 Thinking about trading in the 200 for the Duke 390. Although that RC 390 looks badass!
Did you put a fuel controller when you installed the exhaust?
No, this is just a slip on exhaust for sound.
Do you need any adopters for the tst turn signals?
You will need a relay that fits KTM bikes. It's a simple plug and play relay. If you don't have that, you will get errors and hyper flashing with LED signals. That's about it. Take your time installing. They look and work great!
Hey man did you need to mess with the relays for the blinkers. I ordered some kemi moto ones and they blink funny.

I expected to see performance mods, but sadly there is none (except from exhaust which is mostly for sound). Anyway, thanks for video

It's behind the headlight and behind the front forks, then in front of the gas tank.
Hello, I was wondering about how you removed the stock exhaust. Did you have to loosen the main pipe or did u just remove the screws from the Exhaust and take it out. Please tell me how you did it as I’m planning to remove it soon, I also bought the same muffler too 😊
You have to loosen it right up to the engine block. It fits tight. If you are not comfortable doing it, take it to your dealer.

@@user-gw1li6sh2v I don't have the bike any more so I'm not familiar or even able to check to be sure. I'm not a tech either, so I hate to give advice. Your best bet is to check with your dealer to be sure.
Question: Do you have a video installing those mirrors?
I don't think so, but they are simple to do. Take off the factory bar ends (they will be super tight) then install the new mirrors.

It will hold 70 nice. It'll get to the mid 80's but that's pushing it.

They were wrapped in carbon.

I've rode about 3 hours with the KTM comfort seat. It does get a bit numb though.

Depends on where I'm riding.
After you install your exhaust, did you remap the ecu?
No, it's not needed. The ECU will relearn on its own. I had no issues with it.

I am just entering the bike market , I bought a Honda Navi for my wife and I have an opportunity to buy a 2020 duke 200 for my first bike .. we just want to run around our small town and down the parkway .. I can get it for less than 3500$ with only 1000 miles on it

That's a good deal. Yes, I think the 200 Duke would be awesome for how you want to ride. And if you ever want to take it on a faster road, it's more than capable. I'm 6ft and 200 lbs. I have no issues with it.
I just got the light you suggested today. Is it easy to install or do I need to convert AC to DC?
Do you mean the LED turn signals or the LED headlight bulb? Turn signals need a relay installed, so they don't blink too fast (hyperblink). Headlight bulb just plugs in with no other mods needed.

For some reason I missed the LED turn signals. The 2022 doesn't have LED turn signals?
@@PNW_Native Headlight bulb is simple, just replace with the LED. I installed TST LED turn signals also. My Duke was a 2020 and had regular signals, so I had to install a relay to get them to work.

This exhaust is a LeoVince knock-off from the Phillipines. It was about $300 shipped and I installed it myself. Very easy install.

How did you put the bar end mirrors?
Just cut the ends off the grips, then screw in the mirrors. The kit I bought includes everything you need. Link is in the description of the video.

How the power between this and your 300ss compare?
300SS more capable on the highway. I'm not on a 450SS which is truly awesome.

@@onyx_might72 I traded the KTM Duke 200 on a CFMOTO 300SS. The 300SS was a better handling bike to me. It was also more capable on the highway. Today I have a CFMOTO 450SS. Check out some of my other videos. There are quite a few on the 300SS. I would recommend the 300SS over the Duke 200.
I just got the same exhaust pipe for my duke 200 did you install it yourself if not how much is the going cost to install the exhaust pipe this is my first bike so I don't know anything LOL
I installed it myself. It takes time and patience. I think the hardest part is getting the factory exhaust off, because it's so big. Just take your time and you can get it. It's a great exhaust.
I just paid the $150 I'm to scared lol but I love it it sounds great. But I ordered the wheel tape from eBay it will be here tomorrow but seller says it won't fit my KTM duke 2020??? My bike looks similar to yours

@@blizzybly6624 If it's 17" wheel tape, it should fit! If you are nervous about the exhaust, see if you have a local bike shop that will do it for you. Probably have to pay an hour labor, but that shouldn't be too bad.
Sadly on the Link that you have posted on ebay wheel tape are for 18/19in. It arrive tomorrow so I'll see. 😔
Is the maintenance expensive for the Duke 200?
No more than any other small bike. Oil and filter. Some dealers charge a lot of money. You can easily do it yourself.
