Fantastic news ! Have watched one already .
Many thanks for the info Jenny : D
Fab video, now you've just to come and cook and clean at my house Jenny to show how marvellous all the gadgets really are (and so I can put my feet up) 😄😄. Jxx
So glad you enjoyed watching. I'll think about your kind offer, but I'm not too sure how well all this original technology would work today!
Thank you thank you thank you! I was addicted to this series on the BBC iPlayer but they took off some of the episodes. It is lovely to be able to watch it again.
Glad to be of service!
Fabulous viewing
Thank you so much!
All Mod Cons was the best album of the 1970s!!
Jam-tastic!
I wanted to watch this again on iPlayer recently but it wasn’t there. I have a recording somewhere of the whole series, with this episode being my favourite. I bought your book too, but I haven’t got round to reading it yet.
It's a very well made series. They don't seem to make them like this anymore?
Was this a series or just a single episode?
It was a six-part series that looked at housing & general life in a post-war Britain. Each episode concentrated on a different aspect - for example, this episode of course looked at the use of electricity and how it & appliances changed the way we lived, and in the first episode the focus was on decorating & DIY. I saw them all, but I have totally forgotten what the themes of the other four were.
