A wonderful piece of Golden Era TV. Back when UK TV was fun, original, entertaining and watchable. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

Great upload! I remember it being something that was seen as a revolutionary act for tv.
Making me feel older than I already feel......Did have a thing for Anne Diamond.
Back when TV presenters used to enunciate all the vowels and consonants
Nick Owen used to lend his Syrup to lou ferrigno when he was filming the hulk
😂

Winsey Willis
Betamax really was superior to VHS, wasn’t it??
Very.
Blimey. I’d have been 9 years old. I remember watching this back in the day.
I was 10 years old. Wish TV was still like this.

Yeah, the internet has simultaneously been the greatest single event to happen to human kind and the absolute worst.
@@VoiceOfThe Totally agree, I take a look at the world and at our 9 year old counterparts today and can't help but think, WTF happened, I don't recognize this place anymore lol
Anne Diamond ♥
I,know the biggest industrial strike was on the miners strike, but apart from that times it self was great in Britain back in the 80s.Not like the shit times now.
Friday 27th January 1984 parts of Scotland were blacked out due to Durris transmitter being knocked out by bad cold weather
Ann Dimond was so Lovely back then.
You can watch her on GB news.
Nostalgia-tastic footage.👍
She is bautiful!
You can see where Victoria Wood got some of her material from.
I had exactly the same thought! Something about the contrast between the gritty subject matter (The Maze, shipyards) and the homely knitwear and accessories.
Have you seen the Pennywise clip on my channel? Very McConomy!! 😂
@@ApplianceHistorian Pennywise was not so far from McConomy. Too much that it was made by Grampian in Aberdeen, you could not make it up. The Victoria Wood is brilliant. "A lovely gift for a newly wed couple...or a blind person" (The lamp made out of a house brick). Funny!
That clock. ❤ 😂
All you need is a 13amp plug? You cant imagine any appliance without one nowadays. 😂
Bloody hell. 40 years ago. 40 years ago from then was D day year.
That intro music!

Gregg Wallace!
Luton 2 Manchester City 6! Everything comes round again.
The beginning of the rot of tv that continues unabated to this day.
