Lithuania has plenty of national holidays, religious Christian feasts, public festivals and various other events all throughout the year. In this video I mention some of the most popular Lithuanian holidays of the year.

It's not so much a festivity, but I think if All Souls day is included, then January 12-13 is also important for Lithuanians and we commemorate the day by lighting bonfires in Vilnius or candles by windowsills

Does the Song Festival in Kalny Parkas require tickets? Assigned seats?

It's still too early, most likely it will be ticketed (the last event was with tickets). It would be good to check their website in spring: dainusvente.lt

My biological mother is Lithuanian but I never knew her. She lives in Lithuania but I live in England. I pretty much know nothing about Lithuania and it makes my heart hurt. I wish I could find her. I know that she is or was a nurse but not much else.
