Excellent! I have an older goalie skate (RBK 7k pump) that has the lower style cowling. I see these newer skates are more like the player style and have about an inch and a half extra clearing from boot to ice. I find when I try this with my older goalie skates I can’t get the correct angle enough for a good edge and my foot slides out. I’m guessing the answer is get better skates but thought it’s worth mentioning if others have same problem.
I just cut the cowling off except the toe and the very bottom of course. It has worked very well, but I haven't got hit on the side so idk how bad that would hurt as far as that goes
