Tony Esposito was asked, "Do you like being a goalie?" He said, "How would you like, if everytime you made a mistake at your work, a red light went off, a siren sounded, and people cheered?"
Lolly gagged it. Patrik stefan wasn’t just a guy neither… first overall pick in 99 and arguably biggest first overall bust in nhl history. That moment is the memorable lowlight of his abysmal career
I remember watching that play live on TV. As soon as Stefan fumbled it and the Oilers went the other way, I was saying to myself, 'if they get a shot away before the horn sounds, it's going in. You could give Turco a trashcan lid and he isn't stopping it'. And sure enough...
Same thing happened in last year's playoffs, Canucks had the empty net in the last minute of the game, a Predator has the puck alone in the Canucks zone, misses the net, Brock Boesser scores with 6 seconds left to tie the game up, Lindholm ices it in OT. Canucks came back from down 3 goals, 2 of that with the net empty to get that win. Touch loss for the preds, but great perseverance for the Cancuks on that one.
What strikes me as amazing watching a lot of these clips is, in the NHL, how quickly a little flub turns into a goal against. Most of us beer leaguers would be whiffing on most of these glorious mistakes instead of getting an accurate shot on net...even an empty net.
Dude, add an end screen graphic to put your end screen stuff on, don't block the main content for the last 20 seconds. It's not hard to do, just design a graphic to frame your recommended videos and subscribe links and all that and tack it on to the end of your video, AFTER you've shown the last highlight, so you don't block the content we came here for.
The Only Thing About The Patrik Stefan Missing The Empty Net And Oilers Coming Back To Tie It Up I Think Dallas Won The Game In OT But Still One Of All-time NHL Bloopers There Is
3:20. That's not even the flukiest goal of that game. It's not even the second-flukiest goal of that game. How about Dobson's first career goal off the glove of Bieksa, or Komarov's "IF YOU'RE A GOALTENDER, TEND THE GOAL!!!" goal off the Zamboni end?
Couple years ago i played ball hockey as soon as i won the draw the ball went to my Dman and he did nothing just stood there and the ball went passed him and my goalie also stood there and went in the net this happened 2 times in that game i was so embarrassed but allso what is wrong wit the 2 of them.
Thumbnail of 2 different teams in away jerseys, nice editing skills lmao
Not even just that, it's also the Blues home ice, but Oilers and Wild players
@@AielWolf didn't even notice that 😂
ahaha thats the first thing i noticed too
I literally just clicked on the video to mention that too haha. I was like, "Hold on a minute"
@@IronJawsQC me too lol ...like yeah you are right I do not believe the NHL had 2 teams wearing white in a game

That thumbnail is crazy considering the goal Draisaitl scored against Minnesota today...
The dude who missed the open netter. Pretty bad luck cause it hits a huge rough patch of ice and kick out lol

Big fan I love hockey ❤
There is and always been zero good strat for a goalie to leave the crease with any opponents inside your blue line. Never ceases to amaze.
I saw Jarry’s goalie goal in person. Being a Lightning fan, I felt pretty defeated in the moment but was still a bit impressed.
7:26 On behalf of every Chicago Blackhawk fan, THANK YOU!

If your a goaltender TEND THE GOAL!
One advice to goalkeepers. Stay in front of the goal.
1st one: looking for goalie goal or clear The player: gloves it and scores
I can't imagine how embarrassing it has to be to "own goal".
2 pucks on the ice at the same time during gameplay…… how’s that even possible????
I love how he makes this save like he does it everyday 16:27
hockey: the lighter side
lol Halak with the HURRY UP & BE A DUMMY BOY!
That goal on Jordan Benetton was just really unlucky
Aho gets a lot of gifts
I love the La kings but why quick move behind the net freak the shark
Steve Dangle yelling to the screen right now...

Most of these are just goals off of strong forechecking not really unusual.
