This is a 5 year old EuropAce instant water heater that sometimes fail to turn on. This is a common type of water heater used in Singapore & Malaysia.
The issue lies in the magnetic float (or flow sensor) that gets weak over time and fails to trigger the magnetic switch reliably. In this video, I show you how to change the magnetic float so as to get many more years of use out of this instant water heater. - Навчання та стиль
I have ordered the the magnet float in your link and use your method to remove the plastic sleeve which is not easy in my Europace and now works perfectly. Thanks very much .
Hope it helps!
Very helpful. Saved my day. Has tried to re-position the magnetic device and power is detected now when water flows. Will see how it goes. I suppose eventually will have to replace the water heater magnet flow sensor like you did. I'm only at stage 1 now. : P
Welcome. Glad it helped. Its a shame when people throw away a $100-200 instant water heater when a small magnet fails.
@@fuzzy34r i did called up EuropAce support to find out what could be the possibly cause, and hence narrowed down my Google search and found your video. 😀
Nice video tutorial. Learn something new watching this video. 😊👍
Thanks!
Thanks for your video, it is very helpful. 👍
You are most welcome
do this have to do with slow water flow?
What is the model no for 606 Centon heater model?
Great. Thank you.
Welcome!
Hi, Great video guide. May I know, where and how did you buy the new magnetic flow capsule for the Europace heater ?
Hi! I had no luck trying to buy the magnetic capsule from europace. Had to search shopee for a similar item meant for a Joven water heater.
Thank you for sharing, may I ask how do you know whether it is the power that has tripped or the sensor that is broken ?
The problem is that I left the water heater on for about 20 minutes, when I turned on the water, the heater wasn’t working anymore. Is it the sensor that is broken ?
@@KSki26 its hard to say. You will need to systematically check the components. For mine, i saw that my heater works some of the time, meaning that something isn’t triggering my heater correctly; this lead me to the flow sensor.
Hi isit normal for new instant heater to be not hot enough,i just purchase 707 compact copper tank and instal but find it warm not hot like my previous mistral ?
Can the thermostat or something be adjusted to make it hotter?
Where to buy the new magnetic 🧲 bar and how much?
Hi, check out the link in the description.
Hi Uncle, my symptom similar but a little different, when i press the reset button(sometime once, sometime many time) the water heater will start
Want to check if this is also the magnet float issue too?
I'm not sure as mine does not have a reset button. Suggest that you search for videos relating to water heaters with the reset button for more info.
Hi mine heater problem is the water not hot enough, can you give me some advice thank you
Need to check the Potentiometer, it controls the heater water temperature.tq
I am from Sri Lanka. How can I get down to Sri Lanka?
How to contact
thanks !!!!
Not sure if my CHAMPS Perry has similar procedure/internals for the repair. For some reason, my 2 years old CHAMPS Perry heater suffered similar issue as what is shown in the video and it's concerning that a rather new heater is already this problem compared to my older CHAMPS Accord which lasted years and only have a bit of chunking sound before getting replaced
Update : IT'S IMPOSSIBLE to remove the inner sleeve even if I have used a hook tool because it seems they have GLUED the sleeve tight. NEVER buy from Champs.
😭 Promo-SM.
just short the magnetic flow sensor and will solve your problem.
No. This will activate the heater all the time whether or not there is water flowing.
@@fuzzy34r Noted. Thanks
The red light indicator of the electric socket(on/off button on the wall) is sometimes fully bright, half bright and dimly bright, causing the water outlet of the water heater to be hot and cold according to these conditions. Now ask Uncle how to solve this problem.
Perhaps you want to check the wall socket itself and the wiring. It doesn’t sound like the problem is with the heater itself.
@@fuzzy34r Thanks for your reply. May I ask whether have two types of wall socket.(13A & 20A)
Uncle, the red light of wall socket became permanently dimly and only cold water come out after l had a wiring tighten , water heater look like no power .
@@fuzzy34r whether related the white button of wall socket which only can press half way or rebound to half way always.
@@kwanchihong5663 I don’t understand your question. You probably need an electrician to determine what your electrical points can support and check if there is anything wrong with your switch and/or wires.
