This is dead wrong, so Nick a transgender male thinks it is ok to wait until after you have been intimate with a partner, lived with him, and promised him a family to reveal that one was born male or female. In reality Maya's story will have a different ending. She failed to tell Carter even after everything and she was going to do the same with Rick. She told Rick that she had a PREGNANCY! That's lying! B&B fantasized this story, and the LGBT community wasn't that impressed.
I completely agree. The trans storyline was all done in such a contrived, unrealistic and imbalanced way. In the end I don't think the writers did their community any favours or service at all, if anything it probably fuelled more resentment towards them.

7/20/20: I'm probably the ONLY fan who misses Rick & Maya. I remember when they first met when he was doing community service and, watching him becoming so smitten with her, made his character appealing in ways he had NEVER been.

If I'm remembering correctly, the baby Maya got had been put up for adoption, something about a car accident took place and the baby's biological mother was presumed dead.... So Maya was never pregnant.
@@greenskye7543 The child Maya lost belonged biologically to the man that helped finance Maya transitioning, when both of them ended up in prison, Dayzee arranged for the child to be put up for adoption, the child was adopted into a loving family, but there was a car accident and the whole family died a few months after that, Maya is released and comes to Dayzee's to reclaim the child..
