- The battle music that plays when you fight Giratina in Pokémon Platinum. The track name is "Battle! (Giratina)".
This is a custom extension of the original rip, made to be approximately three times longer. Note that it is not actually an extended recording, but a mix that has been edited manually in a way that seemed to flow well. Apologies if the looping is off or incorrect!
I do not own Giratina, Pokémon Platinum, or this music. This music was composed by Junichi Masuda, Go Ichinose, and Morikazu Aoki. Pokémon Platinum is published by Nintendo and developed by Game Freak.

Ahhh man, I remember the first time I faced him. First time I fell in love with eevee finding out it wasn't effected by Gartinas op shadow move that ko'ed all my team. 1v 1 Eevee vs Garitena and cane out triumphant, best childhood memory of all times.

Pokèmon Platinum is my favorite RPG, and this is my favorite battle theme.
It's disappointing that the ruler of dimensions has a better theme than the creator's theme.

The thing I really like about this is this represents giratina well. He's basically THE Chaos. it's like there's alarms going off everywhere, the suspense rises and the it slowly dies down... only to start again.

This is probably the best pokemon music, like honestly i sat there with my DS listening to this music, watching Giritina for like 2 hours!

I'm really surprised that there isn't a single video on UA-cam with a perfect version of this song. Some key sound effects that make this song so good are missing from almost every single video, including this one.

I remember numerous attempts of soft restarting, failing, soft restarting before I finally caught you with a dusk ball. You were instantly my favorite. BD
The main tune to this is simply awesome. Kind of hard to phoneticize but the "kuddle-eh, wuh weh wih wuh weh" bit. Especially when it suddenly trips into going heavy. Cool as.

The summoning of Giratina was perhaps one of the best moment of Platinum. He just came out, pissed as all hell, and absorbed Cyrus.
Good memories come up from Summer 2010, when we were in France. I played this game so much there.

Hands down one of the best Legendary themes I've ever heard in the games.
you know what they say, never judge a book by it's cover. he may look like "evil", but giratina has an important role much like dialga and palkia does. dialga can control time and palkia can distort space, but giratina on the other hand can control dimensions that both dialga and palkia can't. that includes the distortion world, which is like the mere reflection to the real world. if you watched giratina and the sky warrior, you'll understand.
Either someone was really really high when they made this, or drowning in pure awesomeness!

I find it hilarious that no one in the game actually is really surprised and impressed when they see that you captured the one and only legendary Giratina.

I wish Pokemon were real. Giratina snapped me back into loving Pokemon a few years ago, when I abandoned Pokemon five years before that.

Actually Girantina in Platinum is one of the few legendarys you CAN catch again if you knock it out. You can get it after beating the E4 just like in D/P.

God... Just captured Giratina about 5 minutes ago (never played Platinum, so I've been dipping into the rom recently).
I had planed on blowing my Master Ball on it, but then I heard the music. I had to milk this for all it was worth. Loved every second.

Soul Silver and Heart Gold will be considered a revision of the Second Generation, but with Fourth Gen elements. It's technically a Second Generation game, but revisited and expanded.
Flying Spider-Snake Things are awesome. This is one of my favorite music in the game.
You only get the dog that's super effective against your starter type, and not the other two. I started with Charmander, I caught a Suicune by just running around in a patch of grass from an hour from the beginning to the ending scene of "The Burbs", which by the way, is a great movie. (wholesome comedy movie)

That's basically true. Each pokemon has a catch rate. Types of Pokeballs affect the catch rate like this.
Pokeball-Same Catch rate.
Great Ball-1.5 times the catch rate.
Ultra Ball-2 times the catch rate
Master Ball-255 times the catch rate.
This song is so awesome that I didn't want to catch Giratina, just so I could keep listening! :)
This is so amazing. So disturbing, it fits the mood of that level perfectly :) That bit at 0:52 is insane :D
Example: 1:01-1:06 there are suppose to be beeping noises at that part. Without them, that part just sounds empty. There are other parts where sound effects are missing too.
@squirrelstar05 Extended is when a song is made longer than the original soundtrack's version. This is obviously longer than the original 3 minutes so thus it is an "extended song". It doesn't matter how long a song is extended. Your way of thought is like thinking that even though a plant grew longer than before, it still isn't 10 inches longer so it isn't taller. If you don't understand this, then it is the exact same for your theory.

The Dragons appear on Spear Pillar when you get both the Admant Orb (For Dialga) and the Lusterous Orb (For Palkia) that are in the cavern that is blocked by water inside Mt. Cornet. You see the small cavern on your way up to Spear Pillar.
@robbstevie After you defeat the Elite Four, go back to the cave Cynthia was originally blocking at Sendoff Spring (east of Route 214). Navigate the cave until you reach the room with the Torn World Portal where Giratina would be in D/P. Enter the Torn World and navigate until you find a Poke Ball item. That's the Griseous Orb. Give it to Giratina to keep it in Origin Forme outside of the Torn World and boost its Ghost/Dragon attacks.
Origin forme Giratina is my favorite Pokemon, and his Platinum music is epic.
It's like I'm in a game and I'm fighting the boss before the final boss, and the boss I am fighting has this music. O_o
when i still had no idea about pokemon platinum, i thought this theme would be a champion's... byt using it for a "boss" pokemon, yeah,that's okay too
This game was so awesome!! Regretfully I somehow lost it amongst my things, and it had my good Metagross, Sharpedo, and Breloom on it, and a Vaporeon I was gonna work on...
oops, forgot to mention that these percents are when using an ultra ball.
@PhilipsFAN I'd be sure that Missingno. is the kind of grandmother that bakes cookies, only the cookies are filled with DEATH AND DESTRUCTION instead of the usual chocolate chips.

There is roughly a 10% chance of catching any legendary with a catch rate of 3, when at 1 hp and asleep.
Some legendaries like Mew, Shaymin, and Dialga/Palkia have a catch rate of 30 so there is nearly a 100% chance of catching them at 1 hp and asleep.
the first time i fought giratina, I wasnt creeped out. now, im terrified everytime i replay the game and have to go into the distortion world.

I totally agree. Being a fan of all pokemon games, despite what the overwhelming evidence on YT might suggest, is in fact possible. Actually, my favorite generations are 1,2, and 5, and 3 and 4 were also quite good.
I seem to never get enough of this song... too bad the only time you hear it in-game is during the Giratina Battle T.T There shud be a Poketch app or something that lets you listen to this song or use it as a battle theme

@SharksIncorporated I'm not saying I dislike this or any of the other recent game soundtracks for having a broader spectrum. They just don't feel as inspired, and in the case of this particular track it is, as you put it, chaotic. It does create the mood, I'll give it that -- it just doesn't strike me as aurally pleasing in the process.
I know Pokemon isn't exactly in what one should expect to find the highest calibre of art to begin with, I just think they used to do better.
I don't really like Pokemon anymore, but this theme alone makes me want to play the game for some reason.

Usually, a Legendary Pokémon's catch rate is 3. The formula for catching Pokémon is this:
(((3*HPmax-2*HPcurrent)*Rate*Bonus{ball})/(3*HPmax))*Bonus{status}=A. If "A" is equal to 255 or more, than it's caught. Ex: Lv. 100 Blissey with 714 HP with 1 HP left, a Dusk Ball at night, and sleep.
(((3*714-2*1)*30*4)/(3*714))*2=239.7759104 or about 240. The Dusk Ball fails to catch the Blissey, and calculation "B" happens, which is a lot more confusing.
go to mt.coronet, (where you met cyrus in the cave) youll see a pool, surf across it, use rock climb on the wall, and then make your way through mt coronet, then youll be at spear pillar :D

man this dude and dialga were so easy to catch i caught them on like my 3rd dusk ball thrown but palkia was a beast to get

That was my Platinum Team. My Diamond Version Team is Empoleon, Skuntank, Staraptor, Luxray, and Crobat. I'm very fond of both teams!

im glad i became a pokemon fan and played these generations.im not really a fan of black and white even though it was my first pokemon game but i love giratinas theme not just because its my fav legendary :)

First of all, it's Gamefreak who actually makes the newer Pokemon games and the Pokemon themselves.
And the notion that Pokemon ran out of ideas is seriously flawed. We have things like...Magneton and Gardevoir, and people are saying we're running out of Pokemon. Oh sure, we can have Ice Cream when we have Magnets and whatever half the Psychic-type Pokemon are.
I think it is one of the best legendary battle theme I ever heard if anyone's got a better one, just tell me so I can check.
