In all honesty one of the thigns I missed about Windows was that its task manager was the best. The rest on Linux sucked, but this one is good I think I will use this as my default task manager.
This is exactly the "Linux Task Manager" I've been looking for! Apart from btop I haven't found a system monitor that's as pretty and as useful as the Windows Task Manager. It's one of the best things about Windows and now we finally have a Linux equivalent! It even gets many nice details right like grouping the processes when they're part of an open application
It's not just Fan.. You can see the temperature too, over on the right side. Fantastic. This is much better than KDE.. I'll be downloading it right away
this is the only application which showed me GPU usage and also temperatures for both CPU and GPU. I have been using it since a few months and loving it.
Definitely my favorite task manager for Linux. I found this app a while ago and its incredibly helpful for monitoring my system's clock speeds and temps without using some of the less user friendly methods I had before like custom scripts.
A nice application for system monitoring, just installed it (as a snap) on my Ubuntu system. It is simple, but it has everything I need (graphics card, CPU, ethernet, disks ect). Took a lot of inspiration from the Windows 11 Task Manager.
To monitor my system I use conky. With it you can use the configuration options to monitor system resource usage or with Lua programing lanugage how those resources are represented. I use it to monitor cpu usage using a pie graphs showing cpu utilization on a per core/thread pair basis. I also monitor disk utilization on a per file system and network monitoring to see the throughput of the connection.
@@JohnAndrewMacDonald yes, I’m looking at it right now and the only similarity is that they both serve as system monitors. KDE System Monitor has a side menu, mission center has a tabbed menu and resource usage graphs on the side. This application is simple and elegant, the KDE one is convoluted and messy. I really do not understand how you came to this conclusion.
Am the only that doesnt care about free software and use Linux ? I mosgly use linux to learn about it to remove windows after i finish my cs study ( i am required to use windows and closed source program in my cs study ... ) .
It's basically a rip off window's task manager. And that's not a bad thing. I use it every day.
I am so sorry but,,,,
ERM ACHKULLY ITS ‘off’ NOT ‘of’ >:))))))
@asphalt2554 There, better? 🤣
@ yup!

I was making KDE monitor work for me.. but I didn't really like it that much. This is much better
I hate to admit it, but it looks like a windows task manager. I like though. Glad that you shown.
One of the things windows does better than any distro is the task manager. Good thing this came out.

Looks like Win 11 Task Manager and I love it
it's actually better, since it doesn't use like 5% of the CPU to just display some graphs
this is the only application which showed me GPU usage and also temperatures for both CPU and GPU. I have been using it since a few months and loving it.
Today you have a cool hairstyle
Awesome! Love the look😊 Will try it out
I use it Full Screen to get the total effect.
Yep.. and even The Mission Center is nice too
"Youve got this sidebar here. This panel over on the side" i lol'd
DistroTube looks so done with it all, lol
Perfect. Thanks. KDE's System Monitor wasn't picking up my NVIDIA GPU usage, but Mission Center does and makes for a great replacement.

Very nice find sir 🙂

Finally good looking task manager similar to windows10.
Like it!

1:09 I NEED THAT WALL PAPER
Great app, I use it for a long time and it works and shows everything relevant, very recommended.
Nice! 🤗
Bros got a threadripper...cool
Now THIS is how you make Linux better. Swallow your pride and borrow the things Windows does right.
I like it, but I wish there was a version that looked good in KDE Plasma. Being a GTK/Adwaita app, it looks horrible in KDE.
Astra Monitor is an excellent Gnome extension . It has graphical and text displays in the top panel that become drop down displays
Yo utilizo conky para monitorizar procesador, gráfica, discos duros, USB, red, pero de igual manera lo probaré
I tried that one, but overall I just settled on btop.
Does this support non-systemd init systems?
Probably not. We're a niche but based breed.
@@Skelterbane69whats wrong with systemd?
@@VoidyWay Everything.
@@Skelterbane69 like?
mehhhh i can see the use obviously and its cool enough but i still prefer btop or bottom
Nice tool. I will install it. But hey, 80 °C with this kind of load??? Man, your CPU screams for a repaste or adequate cooling!
tempted to see my fans RPM, but not downloading something from the AUR
Then use the flatpak, like he says in the video.
@@tristen_grant i trust flatpak even less xD
@@sniper_in_bush Thats fair. I like btop better.
As a long term KDE Plasma user, this is just an exact clone of the System Monitor
They look nothing alike lol
Are you sure? Can't find a single similarity
@@porterhouse937 sure they do. I am not referring to the older ksys but the modern Sytem Monitor bundled with the full KDE Plasma Desktop.

Nope. Just nope!
neat, goodbye btop
Windows Task Manager but Linux version lol
Cool app, but GTK4 apps look bad...
It looks ok to me.
BTOP >
windows task manager but with actual functionality
Task Manager
nice app but I prefer btop 😄
Thank Windows for this!
So heavy
I think btop is prettier but I can recommend this to people who like the mouse

No use to me. Type is very small on the app and my eyes are old along with the rest of me. Too bad. Looks good otherwise.
it sure look pretty! but sure looks windows. sorry. lol
its no better than gnome system monitor
It is more for Windows 11/10 users coming to linux, and i am all for that
Gorgeous? Windows' task manager clone. I see nothing special there
Whats special is that its on Linux.

GTK4 garbage ripoff of KDE system monitor
In what was its a ripoff? By being a system monitor? Lol what a neurotic take.
Interface. It's also a clone of a clone since it copies windows task manager.
At least the KDE app can be customizable even in its aspect.
They even used the same exact colors... Literally
@@sharktooh76 so then the KDE system monitor is a Qt (semi-proprietary) garbage ripoff of Windows Task Manager?
@@sharktooh76 you obviously know nothing about UI design since the apps do not even use the same navigation concepts
That is litteraly Windows 10 taskmgr.exe (Microsoft task manager)
