A powerful and compassionate plea for rehabilitation and treatment of young people who need care in places such as Street University rather than detention and imprisonment. Young people in unsafe conditions (distressed homes, no place to live, no income through suitable work, no healthy role models), often find drugs and criminal behavior the only ways to sustain themselves. Given a chance to be in a safe place, to be attended to by skilled and caring adults, learning new practical skills and having a chance to express their creative talents, can make a huge difference for their future and productive integration into society.
