Wow. I mean he's not wrong. But I don't think it's because of a Character. I think alot of people felt betrayed and disgusted when they found out that Amber had made it all up and that she wasn't the angelic victim of horrendous abuse. That and the fact she put Johnny in hospital. I think that's probably mire people's reason for empathy towards Johnny.

It certainly looks like she's just played with the settings in photo editor on her phone. She claimed they were two entirely separate photos taken at different times if day and 'possibly on different days'. Look at the framing, the way the hair falls, the face shaping. They're two of the sane picture, one has had the tones changed. All in my humble view of course..
Obviously one snapshot with different effects. It doesn't take much to see that. Hair placement is identical.
