Hello. Just stumbled on your channel. Minute marker 6:40 when you were talking about refreshing your bistro set, I have had mine 20 years next year and wouldn’t trade it for anything. I also noticed your table folds up nicely. This was a selling point for me (and that it was on clearance): if the patio furniture can be folded, it will take up less space when storing for the winter, and it’s easier to transport when moving.

You might want to sand the rust off your lantern and respray with the same paint you used on your table set. Every thing looks great. Was so glad to see your new son! So cute. I know your husband was glad to finally have another male in the family.

I hate pine needles everywhere but it looks great in your flower beds i like Mulch better. i think you did a grand job of having the fairy tale look on your door i think this is the very best one you have done to date its so beautiful. I think spring is taking a walk off the map today here in Eastern Ontario we have a freezing rain storm that has covered everything in ice so seeing flowers is a welcomed change looking at your porch refresh. I am like you in trying to keep things for as long as i can if it looks tired a paint job is always a great save and i have done it to a patio set i have had for a few years now it was all rusty so i painted mine black last fall and it looks brand new again. we got ours at a yard sale and i only paid $20 for the same size pieces as yours. It had a tired picture of a bird on it so my daughter and i painted that too the table top was like a mosaic and the chairs had the same picture on the back part of the chair. i painted it and sealed it so it wouldn't degrade over time. right now it is covered in a thick layer of Ice in the back yard. We are getting ready to move so i have some of my house all packed up right now but i am looking forward to the spring. most of the stuff packed up is to go in storage so i can stage my house for sale. i am hoping to move before the summer and the really hot weather happens no one likes to move when its 40 degrees C outside. its too hot to do anything when it is like that out. We are empty nesters now and it is much easier to get things done around the house. I cannot wait for us to move. i have a beautiful garden here and i haven't been able to enjoy my garden in the last few years because the traffic is noisy and we live on a busy intersection. When we move in 13 years ago it wasn't bad because the next busy road was Terry fox and most of that was farm land and now there are 2000 homes been built there so an increase in traffic and busses so as people can get to and from their homes so its really noisy now we cannot have a conversation outside so i give up time to live out in the countryside away from the noise and traffic, peace and tranquility here we come and amen to that. Just as a side not i still have my Christmas trees up outside and my lights are still up but they are not on so that's where i am at this year so far this year and one of my bedrooms is full of boxes.

I'm thinking about doing pine straw this year too. I usually do some mulch and some straw. Pressure washing is definitely satisfying but a little slow. You can save yourself so much time if you get a round sidewalk attachment for your pressure washer. It is so worth the investment!
