It was either be lead in a musical or be a background person in glee club when she was clearly the best (especially in season 1). She and finn tossed the duet competition so that Quinn and Sam would win so that Sam would be happy and stay in Glee. She saved the club at sectionals first year, ran around making lauren happy the second year/ She gave up running class president for kurt because she wanted him to succeed (and even stuffed the ballot box for him - which stupid but had her heart in the right place). Sure she's obnoxious and bossy but she's also the one who believes in glee the most, no-one would even take a yearbook photo to represent glee! Okay everyone. Before we jump on the ‘I hate Rachel’ train almost everyone in Glee Club, including Will, did some terrible things. Most of the shit Santana called Rachel out on applies to her. And Quinn. And Mercedes. And Puck and Finn. And I’m going to include everyone because letting Finn go on believing he was the father of Quinn’s baby was fucked up. Rachel might have had ulterior motives but she still the right thing. I’m not saying Rachel is perfect but she’s no more fucked up than the rest of them. Well, when she graduated she obviously didn’t bother to check in much and see how the Glee club was doing like pretty much all the other alums did. I’m not saying that she had any sort of obligation to do it, but the others did even though they also had many other things going on in their lives. So Santana is not wrong when she says that Rachel didn’t care much about the club itself.

K90_ 2019 I think with „cheat votes“ they meant that she actively and intentionally used her wheelchair for the campaign. I, personally, did never see a problem with it. She never lied and why shouldn’t she use it? She is taking lemons and making it into lemonade. But I know that a lot of people feel like she shouldn’t have and I think this is what is meant here.

I will say this. Santana was justified. When she auditioned to be Rachel's understudy (under fucking study), she attempted to talk with her in a mature way. Rachel was the one who started with the insults. And when Santana fired back, Rachel got physically violent with her. She then proceeded to try to kick Santana out of the apartment she helped pay for without even getting a bed. Santana has a right to be pissed here. I don't necessarily agree with bringing up prom, it was a bit cruel. But if that's how Rachel treats her friends, why should she get the illusion of winning something she didn't earn? She had no right to act like the victim when she was the one attempting to bully Santana. She just got mad that Santana wasn't going to roll over and let her win like everyone did in high school. Rachel was absolutely awful in season 5 and deserved every bad thing that happened to her (barring Finn's death, of course)

Charity Bess. To say Rachel is a victim is actually a very dumb thing to say. What did she suffer through? What physical or emotional pain did she ever face? Quinn was a pregnant teen that gave up her baby, Santana was outed and had a hard time accepting who she is, Kurt was bullied out of school, Puck struggled finding his identity as a football player and a member of glee and got bullied and picked on, Marley had an eating disorder, Unique was not accepted as the beautiful woman she felt she was, and so many more. What did Rachel go through? In the end she got this great life and didn't have to go through anything near as bad as the others.
The main difference is that Santana and Sue know it. Rachel still tries to play the ingenue and tries to justify everything she does with her talent or pretends to be completely innocent of it.

Honestly both Rachel and Santana are wrong here but I tend to agree with Santana because though she was mean about it everything she said was basically true. Rachel has run roughshod over the glee club members by either demanding performances or throwing a tantrums when they aren't given to her(for example when she said, quote, "Ken and Barbie? Are you trying to throw this?" when Will let Quinn and Sam sing instead of Rachel because he was trying to be fair to everyone and not just coddle Rachel). Another thing that bothered me about Rachel was in season 3 when every other word was either about her or complaining when someone was caring about their lives more than hers(for example when Kurt being class president to get into NYADA wasn't as important as her being class president for the same reason or when she literally tried to pay Tina to care about her future and completely ignored Tina's feelings). Lastly, Santana tried out for the UNDERSTUDY because she felt lost and wanted to be apart of something. I don’t remember Rachel selling anybody out for anything. Maybe being upset that schue was ignoring her in an effort to be “fair” to people who weren’t as talented as her. I’ve watched this show a couple times and I’ve come really respect Rachel more each time. These people treated her like complete crap. They called her names, they made fun of how she looked, how she dressed. They bullied her so much that the only way she could possibly be heard was when she sang and showed them that one day she was going to make it big because of her drive and her immense talent. 9/10 it was Rachel coming to the aid of the glee club when they sucked. And she would say things and then be berated for them, but she would turn around and gracefully accept defeat. Even going so far as to wish people luck and give them pep talks, telling them how amazing they were. And all she would get in return is more complaints that she got everything when she had absolutely nothing. That team was nothing without Rachel to make them look good. “But it’s not fair other people should get a turn”. Life ain’t fair. The most talented shouldn’t be ignored to boost someone else’s ego. She should have gone to vocal adrenaline where they would have appreciated her.

I seem to remember that they still won Sectionals in Season 2 despite Rachel not getting a solo. Even after she came in with tape over her mouth in 'silent protest' that wasn't really 'silent'. It was either be lead in a musical or be a background person in glee club when she was clearly the best (especially in season 1). She fought with mercedes for solos but also gave her the closing number and didn't even sing during night of neglect. She and finn tossed the duet competition so that Quinn and Sam would win so that Sam would be happy and stay in Glee. She saved the club at sectionals first year, ran around making lauren happy the second year/ She gave up running class president for kurt because she wanted him to succeed (and even stuffed the ballot box for him - which stupid but had her heart in the right place). Sure she's obnoxious and bossy but she's also the one who believes in glee the most, no-one would even take a yearbook photo to represent glee! I’m not saying that she had any sort of obligation to do it, but the others did even though they also had many other things going on in their lives. I will say this.
Santana was justified. When she auditioned to be Rachel's understudy (under fucking study), she attempted to talk with her in a mature way. Rachel was the one who started with the insults. And when Santana fired back, Rachel got physically violent with her. She then proceeded to try to kick Santana out of the apartment she helped pay for without even getting a bed. Santana has a right to be pissed here. I don't necessarily agree with bringing up prom, it was a bit cruel. But if that's how Rachel treats her friends, why should she get the illusion of winning something she didn't earn? She had no right to act like the victim when she was the one attempting to bully Santana. She just got mad that Santana wasn't going to roll over and let her win like everyone did in high school. Rachel was absolutely awful in season 5 and deserved every bad thing that happened to her (barring Finn's death, of course)

Quinn was a pregnant teen that gave up her baby, Santana was outed and had a hard time accepting who she is, Kurt was bullied out of school, Puck struggled finding his identity as a football player and a member of glee and got bullied and picked on, Marley had an eating disorder, Unique was not accepted as the beautiful woman she felt she was, and so many more. What did Rachel go through? In the end she got this great life and didn't have to go through anything near as bad as the others.

Honestly both Rachel and Santana are wrong here but I tend to agree with Santana because though she was mean about it everything she said was basically true. Rachel has run roughshod over the glee club members by either demanding performances or throwing a tantrums when they aren't given to her(for example when she said, quote, "Ken and Barbie? Are you trying to throw this?" when Will let Quinn and Sam sing instead of Rachel because he was trying to be fair to everyone and not just coddle Rachel). Another thing that bothered me about Rachel was in season 3 when every other word was either about her or complaining when someone was caring about their lives more than hers(for example when Kurt being class president to get into NYADA wasn't as important as her being class president for the same reason or when she literally tried to pay Tina to care about her future and completely ignored Tina's feelings). Lastly, Santana tried out for the UNDERSTUDY because she felt lost and wanted to be apart of something. Santana didn't try out for the role and didn't try to steal shows until Rachel starting acting full of herself. Again, Santana was out of line to yell at her in front of everyone but everything she said was true.
Will did not give a duet to Quinn and Sam to be fair he did it to win favor with Emma he did it for selfish reasons. Were you upset at Mercedes for trying to be Maria when Rachel needed it just like Kurt needed the Prez? I guess you also forgot Santana saw how insecure Rachel was about getting an understudy and I guess you would love for your bully to be you understudy? I don’t remember Rachel selling anybody out for anything. Maybe being upset that schue was ignoring her in an effort to be “fair” to people who weren’t as talented as her. I’ve watched this show a couple times and I’ve come really respect Rachel more each time. These people treated her like complete crap. They called her names, they made fun of how she looked, how she dressed. They bullied her so much that the only way she could possibly be heard was when she sang and showed them that one day she was going to make it big because of her drive and her immense talent. 9/10 it was Rachel coming to the aid of the glee club when they sucked. And she would say things and then be berated for them, but she would turn around and gracefully accept defeat. Even going so far as to wish people luck and give them pep talks, telling them how amazing they were. And all she would get in return is more complaints that she got everything when she had absolutely nothing. That team was nothing without Rachel to make them look good. “But it’s not fair other people should get a turn”. Life ain’t fair. The most talented shouldn’t be ignored to boost someone else’s ego. She should have gone to vocal adrenaline where they would have appreciated her.

She realized she had been wrong and tried to help calm sunshine's nerves. she was the friendly face in the crowd cheering her on. Rachel's a person who means well, but her insecurities get the best of her and she panics. I think she felt that she had absolutely nothing else going for her.
I seem to remember that they still won Sectionals in Season 2 despite Rachel not getting a solo. Even after she came in with tape over her mouth in 'silent protest' that wasn't really 'silent'. I know Rachel's been bullied a lot. But just as the most talented shouldn't be ignored to boost someone else's ego, the rest of the group shoudn't be ignored to boost the leads ego.
Yes she did that after hearing Sunshine crying and vomiting in the bathroom and accused her of faking it to make her feel sorry for her. She managed to redeem herself at the last minute by being that friendly face in the crowd but she came unbelievable close to being a horrible person in that scene. @@4everbuffylover
