Basically yep. I was always 100% Team Tina when this episode came along. I usually do believe in the seniors' last moment to shine, but this is not one of those moment. Rachel had almost nothing BUT moments to shine. Time to take a step back, girlfriend.
@@jenniferhiemstra5228 Yes!! like Kurt, Mercedes, Quinn, Puck, Mike and Brittany were seniors too and they didn´t get any moment to shine. Rachel was a selfish liar
I genuinely agree with Tina and hate that everyone acted like she was over reacting. For one thing, I would hate that my race is what you identify me by. Not my name. Another thing would be that Will sucks at sharing the spotlight with the other students. He always says "Everyone will get their time to shine.... Rachel are you ready for this solo?" And if he doesn't say that, Rachel throws a bitch fit until she gets what she wants. Her name is Tina. Hear her roar and give her shot dammit.
"How come when Rachel complains about not getting a solo she's claiming her stardom, but when I do it it's selfish?" That's a very good point and no one really acknowledges it. Remind me why people like Rachel?
Genie Hossain I don't think many people liked her, people liked the ensemble, that's why it's ratings fell so far so fast once half of them left, the new characters were weak copies of the originals.
Ari, lots of people are talented AND work to achieve their dream but, and here's the caveat, they also DON'T pull in the bitch fests to end all bitch fests every time someone who is equally talented people and friends even have the GALL I TELL YOU to audition for the same role as her. Don't even get me started on her tantrums when she doesn't get the role. This is annoying as fuck attitude in a teenager. In an adult? It's a horrible mark of unprofessionalism and a sign that this person would be a nightmare to work with during 8 plus hours of rehearsal or 12 hours of filming. Especially in the arts as a performer when YOU KNOW there's going to be long periods where you will not get the role and you need to be patient and professional and accept the verdict and MOVE THE FUCK ON. Tina's been showing a hell of a lot more professionalism during the entire show's run that Rachel's never once showed. Hell, Rachel's attitude reminded me of an actress I saw in an indie film festival. She was pissed and have a diva tantrum because she "only" got nominated as Best Actress but didn't win. Because of her tantrum that her director and friends couldn't hide, other producers and directors took one good look at her and said "We are never working with that girl, I don't care how talented she is. There's plenty of other talented actresses without the tantrums." The Rachel attitude? Doesn't get you far.
So Tina get's one year of solo's while Rachel gets three? Also making costumes for 12 members is literally a full time job for a seamstress not a student.
@@Tomlavern123 Tina sang nicely her solo when Sue made her cry and Shue told her to get over it... and when she sang with Santana shake it up... we can't know what's she's capable of bc shue always gets rachel to shine
@@Tomlavern123 Jenna is a great singer, she actually has performed on broadway. You have to be a great singer to be on Broadway. Jenna was by far one of the very few cast members who had experience in performing like dancing and singing before Glee. If Ryan gave Jenna a chance, she could been just as great as Lea. I really don't like how ppl think Tina is not the best singer when real Jenna is a great singer and was an actress in boardway, it's just she never got a chance to show off her skills. Plus many of the songs that Tina sang, weren't good like Gangnam style.
@@Tomlavern123 All that could be fix with practice. Naya did mention the set had dancing and singing coach, many of them weren't big stars before the show started. Either way nationals or not, Tina never got a solo, even if it's just for fun, it was always interrupted or singing not so good song. It has always been Rachel, even if there are other talented singers, which is why Mercedes and Santana quit the New Directions since they were tired of being back up for Rachel Berry. Jenna did mention that she choose Glee but Glee didn't choose her.
@@jessivietgirl yea like that performance was genuinely good like season twos sectionals like it was great like songs were equally spread out with no solos but at least a line each for everyone
Jelly Donut I think that's she's right to the point of her wanting a solo but I think it's selfish of Tina to just ride along and wait untill Rachel got that glee club at nationals to take a solo at nationals. Rachel did deserve that solo because she was the reason they were able to perform at nationals at all. Tina could've thrown this tantrum at any time but she just had to have that important nationals solo.
Satan Because the script writers weren't being fair to her. They only gave her solos so that they could have her cry so that she'd remain a comic secondry character.
Okay but, Tina got a solo in season 1 and Rachel threw a fit about it then, this has been going on since the first season, Rachel can actually piss off, I wish she had a moment to humble herself somewhere in the show smh
True, true and true. And the Karofsky-Kurt situation is a reason why I often thought that Finn was a coward and that Rachel was wasting her time with him. But let's not forget the sending Sunshine Corazon to a crack-house and then trying to say it was for the team including Tina and Mike, her literally saying "Who care about you I may get a new boyfriend out of this" to Kurt when she tried to kiss Blaine again despite knowing that Kurt really likes him, and her only losing a singing contest to make Sam stay till the next contest so that she'd have a better chance of winning. For the record, I haven't forgotten the moments when she has been humble or when she has been a good friend or a good person. But I can't forget the fact that she didn't seem to face any karma for all the selfish things she's done until season 6, and that she always acts like she's innocent after doing them. And for another record, I do notice the character flaws in all the characters even one or two cases with Kurt and Artie, mostly in Finn and Puck and I still say that what Puck did to Quinn is the most unforgivable act in the show. @Kayla Pounds
She has plenty crashes to earth during the show... My favorites are when she’s at NYADA with Cassie, Funny Girl and her stupid desition of making a tv show.
It's awesome that Tina is standing up for herself and what she wants. I can't believe that Mr. Schue but it's to be expected with him and it's fucked what Rachel and Mike tried to do to her
'In case a solo gets thrown my way' Rachel, what the hell are you talking about; you've been doing the solos for 3 years, and almost every time Will tries to give one to someone else, you threaten to quit, or you thrown a temper tantrum. God, I hate Rachel so much.
And what is funny is when Will decides to give Tina the Tonight solo, Tina is nice enough to be a team player and let Rachel have it even if she is glad of getting chance to have a solo all for the sake of the team. If Rachel got to know about this, she should not makes any excuses to Tina about needing to have the solo. I would like to point out that Rachel needs to get a life back at least back at McKinley High School because she feels being in Glee Club is like being at home where you can get what you want. She's too comfortable in Glee Club thus getting her to be the way she is. Does that make her bad person? No. It is just what Kurt says to Rachel "You are as brilliant as you are irritating."
it's the seniors chance??? Rachel got everything solo ever since season 1 and now Tina wants one cuz she's never gotten one, I don't think that's selfish at all. If I never got solos and people thought it was selfish I would be pissed
kat vee in season 2 Santana got it and before in season 3 Tina got to sing abc and it was mostly duets with Rachel because she only sang four solos in competition season 1: don't rain on my parade season 2: get it right season 3: here's to us and it's all coming back to me now that's all she did with solos the rest was duets with Finn
Tina had every chance to earn one. All of that "sitting and swaying" was happening while everyone else was putting themselves on the line and performing for everyone. Tina never tried to get a solo so Tina never got a solo. You dont get them handed to you. Especially not a NATIONALS solo. Rachel has been getting the solos because Rachel has been working her ass off and earning them. Tina has cast herself as a background character and is convinced that she deserves a nationals solo for it? Nah. That's not how real show choir works.
x honestly, like it felt weird to see him be that way, but I guess the writers wanted him to be a bit different for the moment?? I can’t with this- 😤✋🏼
stitch•tumbling Rachel's right though. I mean, besides wanting all the solos, she actually works for them. That and she always gets hate for her attitude.
@@BaileeMaleknights Rachel works for them? Tina does all the costumes tho!! She's putting together and sewing multiple costumes for everyone even tho they're gonna wear them once and then throw away. That's hard work... they would be screwed without Tina.
Rachel also had to deal with being the face of the Glee club, which on paper, sounds good. But when your think about it, she had to deal with the majority of the bullying. She also gives leadership when Kurt is being bullied by Karofsky and she recommends that they fight back.
This was honestly the point at which the show's treatment of Rachel started becoming my number 1 frustration with it. It's not even Rachel herself as a character- Rachel herself never changed! She was always terrible about hogging the spotlight and thinking she was more talented than everyone else, but at the end of the day had her sweet moments as well. But it was during season 3 that the show went from calling her out on these faults, to having everyone around her get annoyed only to come around and be all "oh, but she works SO HARD, and she's SOOOOO special and one of a kind!!!" And it drove. me. nuts. It made more sense in season 1, when Rachel WAS ahead of the others, not even in terms of talent but just in terms of the fact that she was so polished and well fitted in her own skin as a performer. So it made sense in season 1 for her to get some solos in competition, because the others were still coming into their own while she could whip out anything and kill it. But by season 3, the others had come into their own as well, and they had JUST as much to offer! And yet Rachel STILL was treated like this untouchable special snowflake who got every single thing she ever wanted. And it only got worse from there, too, with her getting into NYADA after completely choking while Kurt, who gave a GREAT audition, didn't, and then getting a LEAD starring role on Broadway... it just got so ridiculous, and I felt like it was really unfair to minimize the talents of the rest of the show that way. Don't get me wrong, Lea is great, but the whole rest of the cast was really. great. too. And it bothered me that the show would take its time to point out the blatant favoritism toward Rachel, only to then go on and excuse it and though the other characters didn't all work hard too. /Rachel Berry rant haha
@Cyber Strucker barbie and ken as a line is really FUNNY and not even mean.... its probably one of the " bitchy" line of the show the more Nice! In contrary of what Santana say.... also its true that they look like them
@@laurine____7543 No, she meant it as an insulting term to insinuate that Quinn and Sam were nothing more than talentless airheads. Honestly Tina is so right. They’re saying that “oh your just a junior” and “this is the seniors time to shine” but Rachel has been shining since she was a sophomore. And yeah, she is one of the founding members. PS- such a shame that after promising us an amazing Tina senior year, they just turned her into a queen bitch
Honestly, if Rachel was a FRESHMAN, she would've gotten a solo because she is "one of a kind." Mr.Schue (misspelled) doesn't really care about any of their feelings. He just wants to win to prove Sue wrong or something. He is really kind of a hypocrite because he says that glee club is a place to shine when really only Rachel and Finn shine because they are the best and he wants to win. The other people deserve a chance to shine too. Tina is totally right and had the roles been reversed ( Rachel being a junior and Tina being a senior) , Tina still would've been over looked. Rachel can't say that she understands how she feels because she doesn't. It has always been her way or the highway. Even in her last year, Tina is still over looked even though they said "You'll get your turn next year." They use/abuse Tina so that they have enough people to compete and so that they have someone to do their dirty work for them which is making their costumes. #Tina deserves better.
Sucks that we didn't get to see her Freshman year. Or anyone elses except for the Season 4 seniors. Would've also been nice to see the Warblers in Season 1.
Suzanne Cap I like rachel but Tina is making a point you glee lot assume rachel is the star no there are other people no there is Mercedes Tina Quinn Kurt etc rachel is getting everything because everyone is letting her I am with Tina !😎
I honestly hate Rachel so much, she's a great singer but honestly she is so snotty and stuck up. She wants every single solo. And I can't believe Mike accused her of being selfish!
Rachel actually isn’t the best singer, Santana is prettier, Brittany can dance better, Mercedes can hold and do amazing last notes.. and Tina does everyone costume as well as those oooo’s and ahhh’s
alexander aldana No offense, but Rachel had a point. This was her and the other seniors' last chance to shine before they graduated. They deserved the spotlight. Tina and the other juniors would receive it the next year.
Rainbow Snowcone Rachel does not have a point, it was not the seniors last time to shine just because they are seniors means nothing Rachel get everything because she is Schuster's favorite and Tina was still overshadowed by Blaine and Marley. Rachel got to many solos and Rachel can't except the fact that every solo in a competition isn't hers. It's was her and Finn's fault they lost the first nationals. Rachel got all of the solos for competition except Valerie and that sectionals she got disqualified from. Mercedes just had enough at that particular moment in time and this was Tina's time she stood up for her self Rachel is a bitch how can she say do you know how hard it is to be me. She choked on her audition that does not mean she gets the solo and Tina was still over shadowed by Blaine, and Marley. How can Mike defend Rachel Tina is his girlfriend. She was right all he was going to be doing was a dance break with Britt.
Dacorian Campbell Honey... Rachel is the same girl who masters being a captain of all clubs, keeping her grades at the highest, and now she all she has is Glee to help her build up a chance for her future since she ruined her audition for college. Notice how she didn't blame anyone but herself for that and knew she had her final chance. I'm not saying that Tina wasn't still overshadowed, because she definitely was, but how was Rachel to know that? She figured after she left, Tina and Blaine would be the leads. And again, it IS up to the seniors for their final time to shine and the reason Rachel received all solos is because she has a Broadway tone, which is soothing to the genre of music most of the Glee judges preferred, otherwise Mercedes would be lead because her voice is definitely more powerful than any of the girls in Glee. Rachel is a very well developed character, though. You can't base it all on her arrogance. She has every right to be cocky because she's great. Simple enough.
Rᴀɪɴʙᴏᴡ Sɴᴏᴡᴄᴏɴᴇ it's OK to be confident but never get Vicky because you can always be replaced it was not her final chance they performed after nationals not just Tina was overshadowed but al lot of other GLEE clubbers. Rachel had no excuse for her arrogant personality she gets everything and when she doesn't get solos she threatens to quit when she whines she is fighting for her stardom but when someone else does it it automatically selfish.
Tina was so disrespected, under appreciated and underrepresented on this show. I agree with everything she’s saying and am happy she finally stood up for herself!
s smith she was shy, but she also wanted to do what “was best for the club” which was get Rachel back in the club. Which isn’t right. Just because Rachel is a good singer, doesn’t mean others shouldn’t get leads. That happened for the entirety of the show
Suzanne Cap Compared to how many times she wasn’t, it’s doesn’t really count ahaha yeah i agree that shes an interesting character but it’s a fact that she acted like a selfish bitch most of the time
I am bothered by the fact that they did a whole chapter on tina being ignored and they never gave the protagonism promised nor the following season although it is one of the original members of the club and has an impressive talent
Rachel complains and gets what she wants when Tina sticks up for herself she's seen as selfish or greedy but Rachel's had her moments all the time and because she failed her adution the solo is just back-up it doesn't seem fair how she always gets her way I mean I love her but she can't always be the star
I really connect with Tina here. When I was little my friends acted like I was in the background. Then I told them I felt left out and that I wan't really their friend and they said I was being selfish and had a vote on whether or not I should be in the friends group. My best friend said no. But I still worry about her. And she still regrets it.
In season 1, Tina got a solo for sectionals, when Rachael heard about this, she QUIT glee to be in the school musical because she didn’t get one solo. Soon Tina gave the solo back so Rachael would come back. But Mr. Shue still saw potential in Tina and have her the solo, Rachael then quit and went back to the musical. It’s only at the end of episode 5 when Rachael joins back to take the solo for Somebody to Love, but she changed because she was an “understudy” for April Rhodes. Now that’s selfish, quitting Glee club because she didn’t get a solo. But when Tina does the same thing, everyone calls her selfish. Sure she got a solo at sectionals, but Rachael was not aloud to perform with them. Rachael was a terrible character from beginning to end. She quit Glee club multiple times because she didn’t get every solo, messed around with both Jessie’s and Finns hearts, and expected everything to be about herself. Tina was kind, caring, and cool to everybody and she gets a slap in the face. Fuck Rachael Berry I’m sorry for you Tina Cohen-Chang
Is it just me, or do the mean characters in "Glee" always get everything they want, but the kinder characters are always treated like crap? That's so disappointing.
Aunthony Chaboude 3:49 Stop cursing about Rachel. She’s trying to make it in for college in New York City and her boyfriend. This pissed me off they made him clueless about star wars and even peanut butter just because he's Irish... I'm Irish and we're not some distant country that is 50 years behind everywhere else were pretty fucking up to date with the world so to make his character that way just because he's Irish + having him always wear green and shit like that really pissed me off and I was shocked bc this show is so pc but they'll use stereotypes of Irish people
Joe Hart was a homeschooled boy who was raised by conservative christians. In fact, in the episode "Heart" of Season 3, he said he grew up without a TV in his house, so it's not crazy at all that he doesn't know Star Wars.
The only solos I can think of Tina having is True Colors and Gangnam Style(which was totally racist BTW) Oh and Hung Up on You when she had yet another "why not me" rant after failing to turn Blaine straight
Adayla Carlson same! I’ve been training since I was six, I’m twelve now, and my choir teacher at school, uses me as a human prop, I even tried out for the talent show and didn’t get in. I’m so annoyed.
I wish they could just make Rachel struggle a little bit instead of having every little thing handed to her. I couldn't even be happy for her when she won a tony award because I felt like she just had all her success handed to her :/
@@아기천사-q7i No she didn't. She quit NYADA because Carmen wouldn't let her miss the Winter Showcase. Why? Because Rachel was UNDERPERFORMING. Why does everyone forget that? She was FAILING her classes at NYADA, that isn't working hard. She also quit Funny Girl, risking the entire production's run. People were really counting on her. Multiple times, she got bored with something and quit. That isn't working hard, it's doing whatever is easiest. Not to mention storming out of practice whenever things didn't go her way. That isn't working hard for your team, that's being a spoiled brat who expects everything handed to her. The others worked hard too. Mercedes and Tina both practiced a lot. Just because they didn't make a show of it, doesn't mean they practiced any less than Rachel. And yet, they were always scolded and brushed off whenever they rightfully acted as Rachel did. Rachel worked hard at first, but other worked just as hard and she stopped working hard
@@mikemorro140 The thing with Mercedes is that she went theoigh a complete arc in season 3 where by the time the Troubletones lose and disband Mercedes has realized her mistakes and makes up for it. She works hard in LA after high school and ends up opening for I think Beyonce. Rachel on the other hand never went through that type of arc.
@@violetrose674 Did you watch the show? There is a reason why she was underperforming. She was on broadway, at the diner and NYADA at one point. She is quite ambitious. As a matter of fact she still passed her classes just not high. She was fustrated thats why she left NYADA.
"You know how hard it is to be me?" That line alone is the most selfish amd entitling thing I've ever heard. It really makes you wanna slap Rachel in the face.
Tina was so right. She had so many points when it came to Rachel getting the solos. Rachel shouldn't get a solo just because she blew her audition. Rachel getting into NYADA pissed me the hell off. She shouldn't have gotten in
Spoiler alert! Fuck man! XD Everyone is telling Tina to stop being selfish when she hasn't had a solo within the 2-3 years of being in glee club.Okay 1 solo but still, i'm surprise that Santana and/or Mercedes didn't stick up for her a little. Because clearly they know how she feels about not getting solos and being in the spotlight. But i guess they are over that since they get solos now. They could at least have talked to her the way they had to go through it. Rachel has been getting solos since the start, and when the seniors leave they say that Tina will get all the solos. But when she does get a solo when the seniors leave she sings Gangnam style! Literally gave it to her because she is Korean and then half way through the song the some chick faints and ruins it all. After that she barley gets any, It's good that she stuck up for herself but barely did anything. As like she said in a episode "Just sit and smile like i did for 3 years. :)" i know how she feels. And it sucked not getting to see her more in the show #RIPtinastalent what a waste of a good voice god dang it who wrote the scripts? If i was tina i would have just left because of bullshit Rachel "You'll get your chance to shine" the only reason she should stay is because glee is literally just giving life lessons.
how come only in season 3 Will is more than willing to kick people out of glee club even if it results in not having enough members to even compete and that the club is like the only family Will has got & its the only safe place in the entire school where the kids feel accepted and cared for
“Tina! You don’t understand! I need this!!!!!!!” “Tina! Do you know how important nationals is to ME?!” “Tina! Do you know how exhausting it is to be me?” “Tina! I missed up so everyone else has to make me look good!!!!!”
Rachel is just so self-centered, like, when Mercedes left the Glee club and Finn said they were going to cancel "West Side Story," Rachel didn't care about Mercedes and was like, "No! They can't cancel MY musical!" Girl, it's not your musical. It's Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein, and Stephen Sondheim's musical. Give credit to the writers of "West Side Story." Also, you should feel pity for Mercedes because she never got to shine as much as you did.
That and the fact that they wrote all their songs the night before. They were gonna lose either way but when Rachel and Finn kissed that just made it 10 times worse.
I really like Tina in this scene of glee season 3 . She stood up for herself and told her friends, will and Sue how she felt about not being able to have a solo in nationals. She never had a solo since season 1 of glee. Mike and Rachel are selfish in this scene just because they are seniors dosen't give them a right to get everything. Mike had no right to go off on his girlfriend in glee, some boyfriend. A boyfriend should back up and support his girlfriend and not grill her about how she feels. Why can't Will give Tina a chance to have a solo he did in season 1 of glee why not season 3 of glee. Rachel blew an audition for Carmen and thinks that she can get an solo in nationals. She had so many solos in competitions and she didn't think about Tina or her friends and bribing her with money was way out of line. What does facebook, twitter and myspace have anything to do with Tina wanting a solo, that's immature.
I hated Rachel while watching Glee 😂😂 Tina, and so many other characters were just musically ignored in a show that's a musical drama. If I was an actress on this show who wasn't playing Rachel or Santana, I would've left tbh. The favoritism was so obvious in this series.
Rachel has gotten her way since season one. Honestly, I wish they took this as an opportunity to humble her- maybe a few other members get pissed too, realizing Rachel is always in the spotlight instead of "myeh you're being selfish" and "you'll get it next year". Rachel has had it for 3 long years. She's been little miss queen bee- completely selfish, self-absorbed, and hypocritical. Glee club is supposed to be where everyone shines yet she and Finn always get center stage. 75% of the songs that aren't directly for a specific character (i.e Mercedes in "Bust Your Windows" circa season 1), are Finn and Rachel bellowing out solos while everyone else plays backup singer. Tina has never gotten a chance except once, and she is a truly beautiful singer. I'm disappointed in Mike tbh. He's her boyfriend, and if anything he should be understanding why she's so upset. Hell, Kurt and Mercedes should too! They all have as much talent as Rachel, but somehow even in this "club of misfits" theres still a popularity heiarchy with Rachel ruling and she has the gall to act like she's somehow a victim in all this. You CHOSE to be the captain of 16 clubs, to have all these songs down pat, to wake up at 5 am and practice. That doesn't distract from the fact that you are a selfish human being that through the course of several seasons is never humbled nor learns to put others at all before herself. Rachel is and always has been "me me me" and "my way or the highway" and it disgusts me that finally when someone gets sick of her always getting her way they get portrayed as the bad guy. Fuck you Rachel, and good for you Tina!
The saddest part of this is that nothing really changed for Tina after the seniors graduated. She just had a new group of people that were always put ahead of her.
Being senior or junior, or sophomore or whatever, is just an excuse for picking Rachel first for this solo performance. Tina showed loyalty for three years.
The whole rant that Rachel started at 2:29 could have been AVOIDED if she hadn't put all her energy into applying for one damn college. The other members of the glee club also fed this stupidity which is why Tina went batshit during Season 4 and Season 5 and Rachel fucked up all her successes in Season 5. Everyone acted so surprised when the evidence points to Season 3 as the origin.
1. It wasn’t Mr. Shue playing favorites, I kind of think it was the directors. Also even though Mr. Shue kind of did play favorites in the show, Emma even admitted it. 2. Rachel wasn’t the only senior there. Santana, Quinn, or even Mercedes could have gotten that solo. 3. Rachel would have gotten that solo no matter what grade she was in. 4. She threw tantrums 24/7 when she didn’t get one solo, yet when the other girls did it, it’s “Selfish”. 5. They messed up Mikes Character in this scene because he would never do that. 6. Mr. Shue says glee is the time to shine, yet only Rachel and Finn. 7. Rachel and Finn always say the glee clubs time to shine is in class but there’s is for everything (or that’s what they mean by some things they say) 8. Finn isn’t the best singer..nor Rachel. They are all amazing and talented. 9. I misss Cory so much and he’s deserved better, but Finn was such an a hole and said everything was because of him (like not getting slushees because he made the team win) 10. This show is good at making people mad. 11. I’m surprised more people didn’t stick up to Tina when they have even admitted that stuff before. If I was in glee, I would have walked right on out with tina. 12. The show is supposed to be revolved around the glee club, but after season 3, it was still mostly about Rachel and less about glee club..like. 13. Finn was mean like sure he made mistakes like everyone else, and even though Santana insults him, when he made her out of the closet, that was selfish. What Santana says is just sayings about someone, but coming out of the closet is something you have to do that can be hard for someone. Plus what Santana dealer with after that is horrible. He also called Mr. Sylvester’s baby stupid or idiot or i don’t remember, and he said sorry, but that doesn’t make him a better person. Also about the closet thing, you aren’t alone and I don’t want anyone feeling like they are and I just wanted to say this because ur all special and amazing. 14. Her and Finn made them loose by their kiss so....15. Rachel and Finn only care about themselves and I admitted that 10000 times but still. 16.I’m sorry if u disagree but I had to get my feeling out.
Rachel: I am so angry and disappointed, I don’t have a solo! I have a future career I’m trying to achieve! Either I get the solo or I’m out! Will: Ugh, fine! Here’s the solo! Mercedes and Tina (Basically anyone whose of a minority and who don’t have major storyline dealing with their sexuality) : This is totally unfair! I been a part of glee club for years and I haven’t been given an solo even though I’ve proven myself capable! You need to stop favoriting Rachel and toss us an act by ourselves every once in a while. We want to try to start careers of out own too, you know! The only time we do get solos is when our race or culture plays a major role! Will: You ungrateful piece of shit! Either you do the solo or you’re out of glee club. Don’t come back until the episode or mini arc have fixed your whining!
Rachel wants everything to go her way and Rachel has to learn that you can't get everything to go her way and this is what Tina wants and she wants some solos and not all of them. The glee club should give Tina some solos and when Tina stood up and spoke up for herself and that shows the tiger within her and the glee club should really respect her wishes
um rachel has asked for solos before and been rejected and told she's a brat. rachel is a senior and this is her last performance and tina still has one more year to be the star. that's why it's selfish. if she just wants SOME solos why did it have to be this particular one?
Anna Christian so? tina has one more nationals left. and dont call me bitch. does it make you feel powerful for once in your sad life to be rude to a random stranger on the internet?
Please don't call me a bitch and it's not nice and I know that Rachel always gets solos and duets! It would be better if someone could take Rachel down a peg and to teach her a lesson about letting someone else to take a shine and to stop hogging the spotlight all the time
I'm not calling you a bitch and you should please stop saying that my life is sad and the thing is that I am so lonely that's all! You could get to know me that is if you want to
It's true Will has so much talent in that one room and he gives everything to Rachel it's always Rachel this and Rachel that and Rachel needs everything but what about Kurt he needs things to get into college all she Cares about is getting What she wants and Btw I hate you Rachel I'm with Tina on this
This is the exact reason rachel wasn't prepared for life because everything was thrown her way. Everyone is so worried about how she will react that they shield her from seeing that there are are other people just as talented as you. Maybe tina overreacted but it didn't make what she said any less true. Rachel didn't need the solo she just wanted another chance to make her life the entire glee club's problem. Nobody said anything until Tina and Santana when she tried to make prom another pity party for her failing herself when something wasn't given to her. SHE NEEDS TO STOP BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN THE SAME THING FROM SEASON 1 AND NOW HER PITY PARTY IS OLD AND BORING.
You're right! Rachel was so used to getting everything done her way so when she actually got out of high school, she wasn't ready for the world as she didn't understand that not everything is going to be handed to her on a silver platter.
2:00 That was really "Selfish" of Mike to even say that to her and didn't apologize to her about it later or nothing. If I were Tina I would've smacked him across the Face, also this is one of the Few times that someone calls out Rachel on this, she's a Spoiled Glory Hog !!!
I hate Rachel so much. She sang far too much. I love Lea and her voice, but she sang so much, that her voice just became irritating to me. And please don't say "But she's the best singer on the show!!". THAT IS AN OPINION!!!!! It is not a fact. Lots of people would disagree with you. Just because the writers and the show make her out to be the best, doesn't mean she is. Lots of people also say that Jenna (aka Tina) is not as good as Lea, but you can't say that by watching Glee. Jenna never had a chance to reach her full potential on Glee. Go watch other videos of her singing on UA-cam. She's just as good as Lea. It's the same for Dianna (aka Quinn). She has such a lovely voice that was so underused in Glee. All of the cast could have been great, but many of them weren't given the chance.
I am glad that Tina spoke up. Everything she said is absolutely true but time and place is everything and right before national's isn't one of them. I still love Tina
I love how it gets all serious with the "We gotta win!" and the situation between Rachel and Tina...aaaand then there's Sam still wearing that helmet from the scene before on the background lol
Okay I have four things to say: 1:Rachel talks TOO MUCH, she annoys the crap out of me sometimes! 2:Tina wasn't being selfish! *Cough* Mike! *Cough* 3:Rachel decided she WANTED to do all of that busy stuff! It's not anybody's fault that she has time for nothing, it's her own fault! 4: *Wasn't she the girl that stuttered?* I love Sue, she's so funny XD In conclusion that scene made me very irritated but I'm glad Tina spoke up, anyone who read my whole complaint, thank you very much. Have an amazing day! 👍
I’m glad that they do give Tina a lot to sing in the next seasons, she has fantastic voice, definitely on par with a lot of the others, and she deserved to sing more.
Not even trying to gloat but when Rachel starts listing FOUR things to juggle during senior year??? Girl let’s see I had 4 AP classes, dance and vocal lessons once a week, after school Musical rehearsals, choir concerts, vocal recitals, homework, applying to colleges, a busy family with a single mother while we’re all living with her ailing grandparents and a baby in the house while keeping a 3.5 at the LEAST all four years, and this is what plenty of teenagers got going on these days. They really only could think of music rep, boyfriend, GPA and clubs (which they were earlier saying she had none of to put on her resumé?) for a high school student??? I could *crush* this girl.
Tina’s right she’s one of the original members and she’s been there since the beginning has been incredibly loyal to the glee club Rachel quit one time because she didn’t get a solo Tina gave up the lead role in West Side Story because Rachel threw a fit she deserves more than what she got
Tina works just as hard as Rachel! She keeps up her grades like her, keeps a bf like (more stable than her), and practices, and makes costumes for the whole club. Even if she does practice the songs as much, why would she? Rachel said "In case I get a solo" but that's a lie! She gets a least one, in EVERYTHING. Why would tina spend all her time practicing? She never would get rewarded and she knows it.
This is so true, Rachel acts like she’s the only one who works for stuff but that’s on because Will gave her literally all the solos I get that Rachel is a great singer but Tina is also an amazing singer and she works hard
3:17 _in case the solo gets thrown my way_ The solo is *always* going to get thrown her way, because even if it doesn’t, she will throw a tantrum until she gets it. *Always.*
"You'll have your chance next year"
*in walks Marley, Unique, Kitty*
Lmao right
Basically yep. I was always 100% Team Tina when this episode came along. I usually do believe in the seniors' last moment to shine, but this is not one of those moment. Rachel had almost nothing BUT moments to shine. Time to take a step back, girlfriend.
You mean Blaine?
Ikr lmao lol smh
Epodmusic17 even Mrs. Pillsberry admitted in an episode he played favorites, but Rachel still got a solo in that episode I think
Epodmusic17 I’m just guessing because she gets a solo in every episode
Katelyn Fruchtl He didn't give Rachel a solo, but he tried to give her one later on and she gave it to Mercedes and Tina.
@@SuperPianogirl123 thank u
The only exception is sectionals season 2 because Emma predicts his plan
"How come when Rachel complains about not getting a solo she's claiming her stardom, but when I do it it's selfish?"
That's a very good point and no one really acknowledges it. Remind me why people like Rachel?
Genie Hossain I don't think many people liked her, people liked the ensemble, that's why it's ratings fell so far so fast once half of them left, the new characters were weak copies of the originals.
Genie Hossain she's talented and works for her stardom
I like her voice and that’s pretty much it but I think she does get slightly better towards the end SLIGHTLY
Lol i like her cuz shes funny to watch, shes unbearably over-achiever spotlight hogger and i frickin love it aaaannddd she sings amazing
There's plenty of other talented actresses without the tantrums."
The Rachel attitude? Doesn't get you far.
how come when rachel has a meltdown everyone gives her a pity party but when tina does it everybody else could care less about how she feels
alexander aldana ik right
alexander aldana Rachel's better Tina sucks

So Tina get's one year of solo's while Rachel gets three? Also making costumes for 12 members is literally a full time job for a seamstress not a student.
@@Tomlavern123
Tina sang nicely her solo when Sue made her cry and Shue told her to get over it... and when she sang with Santana shake it up... we can't know what's she's capable of bc shue always gets rachel to shine
Jenna did mention that she choose Glee but Glee didn't choose her.
i mean remember tina got a solo for abc ( i think thats when Rachel wasnt aloud to sing because her helped kurt win)
@@jessivietgirl yea like that performance was genuinely good like season twos sectionals like it was great like songs were equally spread out with no solos but at least a line each for everyone
Honestly I agree with Tina she barely gets solos and she is very talented she deserved it for working her but off and she finally needs to be heard
Jelly Donut That's because every time she does she ends up crying
Jelly Donut I think that's she's right to the point of her wanting a solo but I think it's selfish of Tina to just ride along and wait untill Rachel got that glee club at nationals to take a solo at nationals. Rachel did deserve that solo because she was the reason they were able to perform at nationals at all. Tina could've thrown this tantrum at any time but she just had to have that important nationals solo.
Yeah i know what she feels but she still didn't go after a solo after Rachael left basically tina was just being jealous
Her voice is kinda weak
Satan Because the script writers weren't being fair to her. They only gave her solos so that they could have her cry so that she'd remain a comic secondry character.
Okay but, Tina got a solo in season 1 and Rachel threw a fit about it then, this has been going on since the first season, Rachel can actually piss off, I wish she had a moment to humble herself somewhere in the show smh
Herman Andersen Also, Rachel ended up stealing that one solo that Tina was given in Season 3 with Blaine
The only time Rachel was ever “humbled” was when her and Kurt went to the NYADA thing where they saw the Gerber baby sing lmao
HEYMANI 🙄 and Tina gave Rachel the solo because she thought she wasn’t good enough!🙄
She has plenty crashes to earth during the show... My favorites are when she’s at NYADA with Cassie, Funny Girl and her stupid desition of making a tv show.
This is not the "seniors" last chance to preform". Even if Rachel was a freshman, she was going to get a solo.
Yeah. Remember Rachel winning as a freshman at NYADA's Winter Showcase.
because Rachel sings better than Tina and because Rachel is the main character
She's not supposed to be the "lead" of the glee club.
Emily Kira Right that one kid in glee season one Matt who had no lines was a senior and Rachel got the solo still

Plus, I think Rachel even tried to bribe Tina to let it all go by giving her 50 dollars, but Tina had enough for a very good reason. Go, Tina.
Agree she’s such an annoying brat
i agree cant stand Rachel,Finn or Shue
it's the seniors chance??? Rachel got everything solo ever since season 1 and now Tina wants one cuz she's never gotten one, I don't think that's selfish at all. If I never got solos and people thought it was selfish I would be pissed
kat Jojo exactly! Tina has an amazing voice but like the writers always do, they treat her like trash
kat vee in season 2 Santana got it and before in season 3 Tina got to sing abc
and it was mostly duets with Rachel because she only sang four solos in competition
season 1: don't rain on my parade
season 2: get it right
season 3: here's to us and it's all coming back to me now
that's all she did with solos the rest was duets with Finn
S3 sectionals go watch
kat kat also when they said it’s the seniors chance, what about the other seniors like Quinn and Santana? Rachel wasn’t the only senior.
That's so out of character for Mike.

#Tina deserves better.

alexander aldana No offense, but Rachel had a point.
Poor Tina she almost had that west side story one.
She should've had that solo just by virtue of her voice since Maria is supposed to be a soprano and Tina was the only true soprano in ND.
Yasemin Sky but then Rachel had to go and ruin that for her too
She was too shy to do it then, but ever since she hadn’t gotten one
s smith she was shy, but she also wanted to do what “was best for the club” which was get Rachel back in the club. Which isn’t right. Just because Rachel is a good singer, doesn’t mean others shouldn’t get leads. That happened for the entirety of the show
Re-watching Glee from the earlier seasons reminds how unlikable Rachel's character really is. It's like so cringey to watch her at times.

Then I told them I felt left out and that I wan't really their friend and they said I was being selfish and had a vote on whether or not I should be in the friends group. My best friend said no. But I still worry about her. And she still regrets it.
Tina totally has a point! She deserves to shine too!
finally someone exploded and told the truth. rachel always ALWAYS has the solos and when she doesnt she always complains!!! god i hate rachel

She’s trying to make it in for college in New York City and her boyfriend. Finn is trying to help her and I know about Tina gets up getting frustrated. He post to be working together and costumes and all of that is their senior year they about to graduate go to college to be in New York I know exactly is your problem don’t say cuss words all the time and I need you don’t stand that people doesn’t care. Her boyfriend, Mike handle his girlfriend
"Darth Vader...is that a movie??" are you serious?!?!?!??!
IKR !?!?!
@@smobworld that was a different character! LOL in here, the guy who doesn't know Star Wars is Joe, and the Irish guy was Rory LOL
Fun Fact: Tina is the only new directions alumni to never get into a physical fight with anyone
Shiii I would have been throwing hands.
I wish she slapped the shit out of Rachel 😂😂
@@angelixx8859 You said "would have" instead of "would of"
...
Thank you
I admire tina for what she did.she is so right!!
I would have taken the $50.
Eddy Charles yeah same
Eddy Charles are you Kidding me?
Your fucking corrupted to the bone
i would have taken it put it in my pocket but continue to rant
Eddy Charles Same
Then slapped rachel
The only solos I can think of Tina having is True Colors and Gangnam Style(which was totally racist BTW) Oh and Hung Up on You when she had yet another "why not me" rant after failing to turn Blaine straight
Jamie_Jewel abc kinda but that's ONLY because Rachel couldn't be in that performance and she was the only girl besides Quinn.
Jamie_Jewel ABC
Her rant wasn’t about Blaine not liking her, it was about Blaine not appreciating all that she does for him.
you forgot the song, tonight from west side story
Tina is me...I always audition but I never get a solo...I wish I could get a moment to shine
Adayla Carlson same! I’ve been training since I was six, I’m twelve now, and my choir teacher at school, uses me as a human prop, I even tried out for the talent show and didn’t get in. I’m so annoyed.
Rose Menon same...
Dude same, but you’ll get it. I believe everything happens for a reason, and the ones who are fighting more will have a better end goal.
Adayla Carlson maybe work a little harder
Same
I wish they could just make Rachel struggle a little bit instead of having every little thing handed to her. I couldn't even be happy for her when she won a tony award because I felt like she just had all her success handed to her :/
no she worked hard for her voice and everything she wanted. just listen to the end of this video
@@violetrose674
Actually it's established that Mercedes didn't practice and when pushed to she got upset
Tina's so right though. I'm glad she took a stand and told them how she felt because she was always there swaying in the background. You go girl. 😘
Tina was so right. She had so many points when it came to Rachel getting the solos. Rachel shouldn't get a solo just because she blew her audition. Rachel getting into NYADA pissed me the hell off. She shouldn't have gotten in
I really wanted Tina to get more solos! Rachel blow me with that whole speech😡
"Not going to happen, Dragon Lady."
"Oh, you'll do as you're told, he/she!"
I love Kurt and Sue's interactions.
Nutella Marley fainted at the end of the song. Tina didn't miss out on anything.
@@harrypottersnumbrfan exactly,
But I a 100% agree
@@harrypottersnumbrfan Poor Marley.
how come only in season 3 Will is more than willing to kick people out of glee club even if it results in not having enough members to even compete and that the club is like the only family Will has got & its the only safe place in the entire school where the kids feel accepted and cared for
“Tina! You don’t understand! I need this!!!!!!!”
“Tina! Do you know how important nationals is to ME?!”
“Tina! Do you know how exhausting it is to be me?”
“Tina!
Give credit to the writers of "West Side Story." Also, you should feel pity for Mercedes because she never got to shine as much as you did.
they lost last year because of Rachel
And Finn.
they lost because rachel and finn decided to make out on stage which was unprofessional.
Suzanne Cap that was it
That and the fact that they wrote all their songs the night before. They were gonna lose either way but when Rachel and Finn kissed that just made it 10 times worse.
They also weren’t prepared at all
I really like Tina in this scene of glee season 3 .
And this is why I hated Rachel's character with a passion. Couldn't stand her at all.
Suzanne Cap No I didn't like Rachel because I didn't like her. This scene was just another reminder.
'Not gonna happen Dragon Lady'
"Tina you may not always get all the solos."' bitch not always? how about never instead cause Rachel been getting them always.
I would have taken the $50 and still say no. XD
The saddest part of this is that nothing really changed for Tina after the seniors graduated. She just had a new group of people that were always put ahead of her.
Being senior or junior, or sophomore or whatever, is just an excuse for picking Rachel first for this solo performance. Tina showed loyalty for three years.
Do they seriously expect us to side with Rachel in this scene Tina was totally right
The whole rant that Rachel started at 2:29 could have been AVOIDED if she hadn't put all her energy into applying for one damn college.
All true facts
Thank you Tina, Bravo.
honestly, tina should've argued that rachel has been getting ALL of the solos since she was a sohpomore
Someone should’ve stood up with her. Mercedes, or someone. She was right and someone should’ve agreed with her, especially Mike.
"I was singing sit down you're rocking the boat while Finn and Puck were still throwing slushies in our faces." BOOM!
This is so accurate
Rachel wants everything to go her way and Rachel has to learn that you can't get everything to go her way and this is what Tina wants and she wants some solos and not all of them. The glee club should give Tina some solos and when Tina stood up and spoke up for herself and that shows the tiger within her and the glee club should really respect her wishes
um rachel has asked for solos before and been rejected and told she's a brat. rachel is a senior and this is her last performance and tina still has one more year to be the star. that's why it's selfish. if she just wants SOME solos why did it have to be this particular one?
Allison Lee because it's national bitch and Rachel always gets solo's or a duet
Anna Christian so? tina has one more nationals left. and dont call me bitch. does it make you feel powerful for once in your sad life to be rude to a random stranger on the internet?
Please don't call me a bitch and it's not nice and I know that Rachel always gets solos and duets! It would be better if someone could take Rachel down a peg and to teach her a lesson about letting someone else to take a shine and to stop hogging the spotlight all the time
I'm not calling you a bitch and you should please stop saying that my life is sad and the thing is that I am so lonely that's all! You could get to know me that is if you want to
It's true Will has so much talent in that one room and he gives everything to Rachel it's always Rachel this and Rachel that and Rachel needs everything but what about Kurt he needs things to get into college all she Cares about is getting What she wants and Btw I hate you Rachel
I'm with Tina on this
Because Rachel is an arrogant bitch who's throwing tantrum every time she doesn't get what she wants...
Finally Tina spoke out ! Rachel gets literally ALL the solos while Tina gets NOTHING !
lol im on Tina's side on this one
Agreed
You're right! Rachel was so used to getting everything done her way so when she actually got out of high school, she wasn't ready for the world as she didn't understand that not everything is going to be handed to her on a silver platter.
2:00 That was really "Selfish" of Mike to even say that to her and didn't apologize to her about it later or nothing. If I were Tina I would've smacked him across the Face, also this is one of the Few times that someone calls out Rachel on this, she's a Spoiled Glory Hog !!!
"Our feature performer Porcelina Hummel"
"Not gonna happen dragon lady"
😂😂😂😂
I hate the double standards shown in this clip. Just wow. Tina deserves some solos too, its not the rachel club. God damn.
"Take a lap and cool down Asian no. 1".
Lmao!! I can't.. 😂😂😂
I love how it gets all serious with the "We gotta win!" and the situation between Rachel and Tina...aaaand then there's Sam still wearing that helmet from the scene before on the background lol
Next year? Well, she had one solo what gangnam style was, and that was when marley fell on the Floor. Bravooooo!
I think it was kinda racist in a way.
Dacorian Campbell it definitely was
Will: I put you in charge of costumes
Tina: wow like that’s some prize It kills me 😂😂😂😂
Okay I have four things to say:
1:Rachel talks TOO MUCH, she annoys the crap out of me sometimes!
2:Tina wasn't being selfish! *Cough* Mike! *Cough*
3:Rachel decided she WANTED to do all of that busy stuff! It's not anybody's fault that she has time for nothing, it's her own fault!
4: *Wasn't she the girl that stuttered?* I love Sue, she's so funny XD
In conclusion that scene made me very irritated but I'm glad Tina spoke up, anyone who read my whole complaint, thank you very much. Have an amazing day! 👍
LMFAOOO Sueeeee "iSnT tHaT tHe OnE wHo UsEd To StUtTeR" I love her so much
0:48 “I’m your Father. Darth Vader.”
“Is that a movie?” Really Joe? 😂😂😂
Noya Israeli I literally facepalmed 😂
I’m glad that they do give Tina a lot to sing in the next seasons, she has fantastic voice, definitely on par with a lot of the others, and she deserved to sing more.
She was given a Korean meme song and it was garbage. Wasn't even fair to her.
As you should queen
Hey Rachel remember what you learned in kindergarten? THERES NO I IN TEAM AND THERES NOT ONE IN GLEE CLUB EITHER!!!!!
I LOVE HER SO MUCH
2 times I hate Rachel, first when she over Mercedes on about theater leading role, second this
the ending of this episode left me sO UNSATISFIED WHEN ARE WE GONNA GET JUSTICEEE
Tina’s right she’s one of the original members and she’s been there since the beginning has been incredibly loyal to the glee club Rachel quit one time because she didn’t get a solo Tina gave up the lead role in West Side Story because Rachel threw a fit she deserves more than what she got
I love rachel but tina is right. Rachel is really selfish. She always has been. Even tho i love rachel, tina has made a valid point.
@@amyv8867 yeah Rachel is doing the normal stuff, and only she gets rewarded
@@piper1711 yeah

In my opinion, Jenna does have a better voice than Lea... she should've got the show
3:17 _in case the solo gets thrown my way_
The solo is *always* going to get thrown her way, because even if it doesn’t, she will throw a tantrum until she gets it. *Always.*
