Thank you for this was very helpful. I'm a QB Certified ProAdvisor, I'm just starting out as a freelancer Bookkeeper, and I'm so grateful for your videos.
Yup. That’s actually how I’m starting out is volunteering. Not how I wanted to start, but it’s also helping out friends and family in a rough time, so it serves a dual purpose.
Thank you for not being vague. Too often successful people just say "Get business" and barely/don't go into detail. From friends/family to online job boards and communities and finally offering a non invasive way to contact business owners are all excellent tips! Thank you for being a true servent leader ❤
Your videos have really been helpful to me. I am currently taking my QB certification and your videos have been my go-to for information. My cousin has a business that is growing and she asked me to be her bookkeeper.. so, I already have a client lined up. I would do volunteer work to gain experience bc I feel that wld be worth it in long run. I saw you mention in another video doing bookkeeping for a non-profit for free and I thought that was a great idea. Thanks for putting out this great content. :)
Just want to say that I'm a big fan of your videos. I'm a former Big 4 manager looking to break into my own accounting world and your vids have been helpful.
After a laid off experience God put me from nowhere into a bookkeeping career I am so excited , this a totally new adventure for me I am taking online classes now , I am glad I found you, one day I will be like you but in a Latina Version lol 😅😅😅

Thank you so much for these videos. My family was homeless at one time and we are slowly getting back on our feet. When I found your videos on UA-cam, I talked to my husband and we both agreed that I would be great at this. I am slowly starting but I am working hard on it. I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Hi Morgan - really appreciate your videos, great info - Thanks! A couple questions if you don't mind 1) Can you expand on a few other niches you think would be good prospects? 2) What size client (employee size? revenue size?) do you think is a good fit for us independent bookkeepers? and 3) What would you think of the idea of placing an ad on Craigslist and identifying yourself as a professional bookkeeper and you will answer one Quick Books question they have for free? I heard this idea somewhere and it was a different type of business but I believe this might start a conversation with a potential prospect and you might get some clean up work or tax work or payroll work or ??? from it. Thoughts? Thanks Again - Mark

Great tips, but I have a suggestion for future videos. If you have for example a "top 10" list, editing "tip 1" or "tip 2" into the video during each part helps us as viewers keep track. I honestly had to rewind several times to keep track of which tip was which. I didn't know if you were continuing with the last tip or if you were already on the next tip. Just some constructive criticism. Making those small changes would make this channel the go-to for this topic.
