Oh, god. Gresford, at the end. The Miners Hymn. Makes me cry every time. Played this at my mam’s funeral 😢 xx
I didn’t mean to make you cry X
@@TheSilverFoxDoesStuff I know 😊 xx
Yes the mines are now all long closed down, but our struggle for a fair and just society continues. Workers of all lands unite.
Agree
Me and a mate were late getting into Durham due to a train SNAFU and we missed the bands marching in, so really appreciate this video
You're very welcome, and thanks for watching. It will look even better when the HD version is ready :)
Please come back next year.
@@AbandonEarth911 I'm hoping to :)
So glad to have played! Definitely an experience I will never forget as my first time at the Gala. I’ts so cool to see and hear the other bands playing
Glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it :)
I ❤️ big meeting. Thanks for this xx
I love it too x
The Red Flag! Fabulous 🌹 ✊
Thank you :)
The banner at 6:38 is part a a film being made called “The Old Oak Tree” It’s about a Libyan family trying to settle in the UK. Due out this time next year. It was behind the Horden banner and when asked about it we were told the banner was fake and all involved are actors. Just an interesting fact I thought I’d share (great video btw. Thanks for sharing)
Is it the same movie that is being filmed in Murton ? Thanks for watching by the way :)
I’m not sure tbh 🤷
Thought Ken Loach was retiring? Not likely. The legendary British filmmaker is back with a new migrant drama set in the north east of England. It’s called The Old Oak and it’ll be with us in 2023.
Cannes Film Festival week seems like a serendipitous time for the two-time Palme d’Or winner to start work on a new film. He’s filming it in County Durham - the third film in a row that he’s based in the north east of England, after Sorry We Missed You and I, Daniel Blake - and it charts a Syrian migrant’s experiences of a close-knit mining community that has fallen upon hard times.
@@mysteryman1796 Aye that's the one www.hartlepoollife.co.uk/19-may-2022-issue-157 I took some pics of the pub
@@mysteryman1796 Has Ken been expelled from the Anti socialist Labour party?
I missed this one again this year.

Sorry about that, I'll try harder next year :)
