20,000 views? That should be at least 20 million. This is a man singing from his heart and soul and expressing the true beauty of music to us all. He deserves a lot more recognition.
People do not have easy access to good music, and when they do, those musicians die.
I was there for this taping and have been to enough of his concerts to know that no audio recording can quite capture how amazing he sounds live. What a voice.
Completely agree
The deeper I dive into this guys music the more I like wow
Ray is a dream machine - pure magic.
Why do we not hear artists like this on radio? and yet we do hear Bieber,Kesha, etc till the tweeters bleed...
This song is so beautiful, love Ray.
Absolutely breathtaking! Ray's music takes me to a different place. Everytime he sings a song, he puts so much soul and passion into it. It's like he is not even aware anyone is listening - for him it's not about that.
Same though his music puts me in a different life
favourite Ray LaMontagne song. Damn he's voice is crazy here.
Ladies and gentlemen you are witnessing something very special here, Mr L at his best 👍
Ray, this is a work of art and nothing less.
RAY is my number 1 idol for last 10 years
You listen to a song you relate to every lyric... You listen to another song you relate to every lyric.... His voice live brings you to tears ... Come back to Birmingham UK Soon Ray.
This song is so sad yet so hauntingly beautiful at the same time.
His voice is😊 amazing,I listen to his music everyday.
These lines.....
"Weight so heavy and that mountain so tall-Is there no one who would catch me if i fall?Still no one who would catch me if I fall."😔😞😣
maybe the best song, ever??
Can't believe anyone would break up with him...
He does tour a lot.
There are so very few artists that leave me staring slack jawed while they play their hearts out. This man’s material hits me like a sledge hammer to the chest.
so beautiful. His music is speaks to my soul
Two little words.......
OHHHHHHHH MY!!!!
Even though im in a relationship i can still feel his soul and pain and sadness
Holy goosebumps batman!
Genius is so over used by the late 80s generation, but this man = GENIUS.
Soulfelt 🙌🏾
Heard this live in Toronto last night at Massey Hall...a perfect venue for Ray. A lady in the audience was in tears during this song.
I was sad that he didn't do more of his music that made him famous though..he flat out told us "I haven't played that in 6 years and I'm not going to play it tonight" when someone shouted out "SHELTER"....
Come to México, please i need to hill and your music is a kind of medicine
the pariah dogs are highly underrated. don't get me wrong, roy is the man, but that band behind him seriously jams.
This is magic.
Just saw Ray in NC...absolutely the most exquisite voice and so much soul. It was such a dreamy night under the stars just listening to him. I've almost decided that I like listening to him live better than on albums. Please keep singing Ray. You are so inspirational and pure. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world.
I hope this beautiful soul reads comments, cause have I got a wicked one for you. Your contempt for fame and your incredible gift makes my eyes tear...utter sweetness:)
I just had a conniption at 3:48..... is really possible to sing that good, seriously Ray???.. Wowzers
Nothing compares to his talent. His honest delivery catch me by surprise time and again.
Damn girl tellhim- he just wants to know- are y'all really through?
I would love to see Jack Savoretti and Ray do a live set together, now that would be Magical

The first 3 chords are a direct lift from Dylan's simple twist of faith from his groundbreaking album blood on the tracks I guess bob inspires ray
I am in love
Melissa
she did tell me...and yes, we are really through.
This generation, well mostly don't even know an artist..go on ray
I think this is becoming on of my favourite songs of all time? Possibility = Yes
And that is saying A LOT, considering what it is up against. I could not describe this if someone where to ask me.
Yes
hermosura...
Perfecto!
Is the sun
Ever gonna break
Break on through the clouds
Shine down in all its glory?
Onto me
Here upon the ground
'Cause I can't hear a sound
Sept' my own sad story
I get so tired
A starin' at the walls
Weight so heavy
Mountain so tall
Is there no one
Who would catch me
If I fall?
It's more
It's more than I can take
I wish that I could fake it
Or pretend like I don't know what's goin' on
Somethin's wrong
Somethin's wrong
I'm tryin' to hold on
For just a little longer
I get so tired
A starin' at the walls
Weight so heavy
Mountain so tall
forgettem Is there no one
Who would catch me
If I fall?
Can you hear me?
Can you see me?
Why is that so hard for you to do?
Don't dispel me, girl
Just tell me
Are we really through?
Is the sun
Ever gonna break
Break on through the clouds
Shine down in all its glory?
Onto me
Here upon the ground
'Cause I can't hear a sound
Sept' my own sad story
Can you hear me?
Can you see me?
Why is that so hard for you to do?
Don't dispel me, girl
Just tell me
Are we really through?
Are we really through?
Thought we was falling together Joe. X
I don't know why people listen to radio stations in the first place
Why don't you people who post disparaging comments about contemporary society and music do something about it rather than telling us all something we already know? Spend your two cents where it matters.

Joe Cockers long lost son
brought tears to my aching hearrt
2bescenecom AGREED!!!!!
anyone have the tabs to this song??
I’m looking for the same thing! I’m watching this to see what kinda chords he’s playing
It's because we're in trouble! The world is going down, and the world government don't want us to listen to smart men, that give us hope and truth, makes us believe in ourselves and eachother. They want to make sure, that when they fix what they are responsible for, they will not only get padded on the shoulder but get an actual applause. I know it sounds abit out there, especially since the song is unrelated, but there the answer is for you :)
yes, he is married.
Melissa
saddest post-break up song. ever.
❤️🫶❤️
I am so jealous of his wife. I mean she looks so sweet...and I hate her.
