Suicide,depression,low self esteem..etcetc can be solved with early counselling. Since India is moving towards a develope country,more and more people will go into depression..Its a norm in all develop countries!
Counseling is must for the depressed persons . It can change alot . People understand only if they go for it once ! It's also like doctor where this is mentally!
when I was in 6th std, principal found me swinging on a bench and made me stand outside his room for more than 2 hrs. I was totally scared by the incident. I couldnt understand what mistake I did to make that principal punish me.
During my 5th std , a boy in my class did the same thing (he was just playing by swinging between two benches using his hands). His hand bone broke 😢 Hope u could understand y u received that punishment

Well arguments done by counsellers... Specially the professionals who have been in that line for years.. The offenders and defenders feel that counsellers just make money out of profession but the service behind it not understood... Yes accepted that most counsellers are proper practitioner..
It’s hard to open up and understand anything the counselors are saying coz it is a close minded confrontational group on the other side, whose only aim of being on the show is to argue and prove the professional group wrong. It’s the same old drama of using culture heritage and family system as a shield to blame the counselors and say that their tools are wrong. They are not correct or wrong, it’s a method and provides a safe space for the individual to open up and address their issues, insecurities, low self confidence and childhood issues.
Gopibath was very vociferous in putting the counsellors down. He realuaed or may be was told to tone down in the last minutes, when he did try to undo the damage. The elderly person who spoke at the end was very good.
If u need help take assistance.... If no... Leave it... There's is no use in this debate.... Counselling is essential.... Don't misunderstand the word counselling..... Advice, guidance, wellwisher, paati thaatha arivurai, free will all falls under COUNSELLING

After watching around 25 minutes: Dear Gopinath, first of all, please try to understand what they're trying to say and then talk. Don't keep pouring questions like crazy. And pls understand that Psychology is not SCIENCE. Counselling is related to psychology. They comprise of various theories and studies. Psychology doesn't provide solutions like medicines does. They can only HELP.

@Subramaniam - I feel you are partly right. He has a little one-sided view towards Counselling. But we cannot shun the fact that India is still way behind in Counselling. I have had personal experience with my close relative and could see how immature a very popular counselling organization is. Beleieve me , we are way way behind and most counsellors on this show are clearly in it purely for money and see it as an industry.

Mohan is actually a marginally disordered person. He himself has mentioned in a Neeya Naana that he has a fear towards marriage. Ironically he is the one talking about what shuold be a counsellor's job in marriage. Again if selling food is a cheap business, him selling education is far worser than that. Neeya Naana is a program ran by a group of people with a particular ideology and political view. So no wonder they support abusive weridos like Mohan.

I personally felt that counseling is a bad concept.. which doesn't care about individual difference in early stages.. my son didn't talk till 3 years.. everyone insisted me to go counsellor.. but I refused since am a teacher and I know my son is normal.. schools didn't gave admission.. so I was insisted to met a counselor.. they didn't even considered the heridity.. bcz I had the ubnormality of speech in my childhood.. she completely refused my statement and keep on telling my son is not in good development.. I refused everything and put my child in a school where they accept my child as he is.. now he's completely doing great in second standard.. being a talented child.. so no need to accept their thoughts as it is..

One of the most valuable resons which ought to mention in this show is our present society change towards Modernisation. Traditionally in our Indian society, we have a joint family system which counsels most of our problems in the family itself. Whereas western society have nuclear family system where there is no role of family for counselling. Hence they required a counselling system setup in their society. Due to Modernisation our families also become nuclear and we tends to adopt the counselling system nowadays in our society.
Neeya naana Kind attention At the age of 12 there will be hormone imbalance due to changes in our physical body activities and behaviour we cannot say every child is aware of it due to family members situation and environment most of the family will be facing financial situation and also enforce lots of restrictions and fear whether thier daughter or son will under go teenage and phychological problems and love matters. Most parents and relatives because of financial crises get married their daughters to aged people not matching to her goals or foregoing her dreams. The cells and chromosomes education sex education and society and unscrupulous people around them should be taught at the earliest age 10 onwards with moral science classes with moral ethics culture and customs
I do not understand why the counsellors couldnt make more valid arguments. The opposite side clealry does not understand how and why counselling works. Yes may be there are few wrong counsellors whose sole purpose is to make money but at the same time there are counsellors who are actualy helping people in big time. To the guy who said ADHD is not a disorder should just get his facts straight before making such comments. Gopinath please next time be open and stop targeting one side. Councelling அப்படிங்கிறத ஏன் அப்படி பயத்தோட பாக்குறீங்க. அது ஒரு help. ஒரு அம்மாவுக்கு குழந்தய handle பண்ண முடியாத போது ஒரு உதவிய வெளியில நாடுறாங்க. நாங்களும் ஒரு parent தான். எங்க குழந்தய அந்த பொசிஷன் la வைத்து பார்த்து தான் இத பண்றோம் with all responsibility. இது காசுக்காக பண்ற தொழில் இல்லை.

I personally felt that counseling is a bad concept.. which doesn't care about individual difference in early stages.. my son didn't talk till 3 years.. everyone insisted me to go counsellor.. but I refused since am a teacher and I know my son is normal.. schools didn't gave admission.. so I was insisted to met a counselor.. they didn't even considered the heridity.. bcz I had the ubnormality of speech in my childhood.. she completely refused my statement and keep on telling my son is not in good development.. I refused everything and put my child in a school where they accept my child as he is.. now he's completely doing great in second standard.. being a talented child.. so no need to accept their thoughts as it is..

One of the most valuable resons which ought to mention in this show is our present society change towards Modernisation.

I do not understand why the counsellors couldnt make more valid arguments. The opposite side clealry does not understand how and why counselling works. Yes may be there are few wrong counsellors whose sole purpose is to make money but at the same time there are counsellors who are actualy helping people in big time. To the guy who said ADHD is not a disorder should just get his facts straight before making such comments. Gopinath please next time be open and stop targeting one side. Because sir if I am not wrong you are suppose to be open to both side of the arguments.

Nobody knows what is counselling. They dont have even a clue. Everybody has an opinion that the councellors are cheaters. Even Gopinath thinks like that.
