    Good review. Really good idea on the camera cage to shift the weight. I had not thought of it. I own the Dolly (bot it for $100 on sale -- yep). It is a tank. Easy to use. Funny I own the vitamins show int he opening shot too. This makes my restaurant videos really cool so I can get 30 seconds of B Roll.

      Thanks Jannar, how did you manage to use it outside?

    Great review - thank you! I have the earlier, lightweight version. I'm strongly considering the upgrade, thanks to your explanations. I appreciate that you cover pros and cons.

      Is the Dl200 a good option?

    I think if you were to use a tripod head with an ARCA Swiss plate, you could use a Nodal rail to help balance the setup when using bulkier camera gear.

      I do have one, I might try it. It will probably work. I think if you have time a some creativity, you can achieve some really complicated shots.
      Thanks for dropping by.

    Can you manually push it by hand or do you have to use the motor?

    • @RandomTeq

      You can, but it's not practical. You can feel the motor resistance.

    Watched the whole review. I have version and the motor sound is very loud and is picked up by the mic badly, any idea how the dl300 compares audio wise. Is it quieter or the same? Thanks

      Thanks for tuning in!
      If Im not mistaken, you're interested to know, if the motor sound will be picked up by the camera microphone, the answer is yes.
      You can dampen it using the "noise reduction" feature in any audio software (I recommend audacity) or use a wireless/wired microphone to keep the source of noise far.

    someone needs to make one with bigger wheels and a tripod

      Yeah, it feels that you don't have many options to choose from.

    Which one is better: the Dl200 or the DL300? I would go for the 200 because it is lighter.

    • @RandomTeq

      It's a good option, the DL300 is mainly an upgraded body, I don't remember reading any improvements on the motor. But I don't think it supports app remote control.
      If you prefer the light body of DL200, than go for it. It all depends on your needs.

    Can you loop movements? Say I want a parallax b cam shot during an interview. Can I just set it on a table and run it back and forth on a loop like a traditional slider?

    • @RandomTeq
      @RandomTeq  6 місяців тому

      Back and forth, No. You can only loop a movement in one direction. So the only way, is if you have it running in a circle.

    Hello! Nice Review :)
    Do you think this dolly could handle a setup like this :
    - Ronin rs3 + Sony A7S3 + Light prime Lens?
    It would weight less than 3kg but I'm unsure of the balance.
    Thank you for your opinion!

      Thank you so much!
      I think it's possible to a degree, I've never tried the ronin, but some stabilizers push the camera forward, the ronin seem to have the camera in the center. I don't think it's necessary though, the dolly acts as a stabilizer to a degree since it needs to be on a flat surface.

      @@RandomTeq Actually I think of having the x and y axis that I can also preconfigure on the Ronin app to have more options while doing timelapses for example. Thank you for your advice! Will think about it

      Now that I think about it, it might be a setup for complicated shots! I would definitely try it if I get my hands on a stabilizer.
      Thanks for watching, it means alot to me.

    How is motor sound?

    • @RandomTeq
      @RandomTeq  6 місяців тому

      It's very quiet, but it can be heard if you kept the original footage audio and listened closely. It can be easily covered by voiceover or background music.
