Sif 5 Finish

Das ist das letzte der Bauvideos zum Sif. Hier zeige ich die Bespannung mit Oralight und die Zierstreifen aus Orastick, deren runde Abschnitte ich mit einem Cameo Schneideplotter geschnitten habe.

This is the last of the five videos about constructing and building the Sif. I'm showing how I covered the wing with Oralight and Orastick. I used a Cameo Cutter/Plotter for cutting the trim lines. The CNC files can be downloaded for free and non-commercial usage at surasto.de

Is this design from Jupp Wimmer?

The geometry is almost excatly the same as the original Sif by Jupp Wimmer in 1993. But other than that this is an entirely new design made by me. I didn't use the CJ5gu which Jupp used. I'm using two foils by Peter Wick PW-RES-Main and PW-RES-Tip. This way I get a wide speed range. I adapted the design a bit to make it easy to use a laser cutter. @@surasto2346 The CJ airfoil suite is very outdated yes, but Jupp did manage to work with it. I love his work. You have done well by it. I like Peter Wicks work as well. Many thanks.

Oh absolutely. Right now it is snowing here - no way to fly. But as soon as the weather clears up I will provide a maiden flight video.
