    The history paired with the actual piece display was cool. I'd watch more & the video gives me a much better idea of scale of the piece than the images on the site. Definitely considering this one as a first purchase.

    Finally a German sallet that has a full visor I saw in the thumbnail, since most of them have "lame not reinforced half visors".

    How thick are your armor sets such as this sallet and gothic armor you were wearing? Are they suitable for HEMA fighting?

      Thanks for your comment! It will depend largely on your specific group, though many HEMA reenactors tend to prefer 12 or 14 gauge armour. It will depend on how intensive the combat is for your group or event. This sallet comes in 16 gauge and 18 gauge options, and the rest of the armour in this video ranges from 16 to 18 gauge thickness.
