🔥🔥🐟 Just done my first mini Scape in a 20 litre. Inspired by this channel 1st. 😊 Can't believe how exciting it all is. Every single video is 💯✅. Thank you for your very enigmatic and engaging presentation. Top Notch stuff 👌
Nader's aquarium is amazing! The design, the lights, the shape and the character/behavior of the fish population, the general pattern and color palette, everything is special! The best aquarium 'till now for me! Remember, that was true also for your dark water tank (the combination of 'scape, fish shapes and colors on that overall brown "background"), and for that amazing archer tank that you had at the old location.
I prefer densely planted tanks but I can see the appeal of hard scape only aquariums in businesses for easy maintenance. Those large aquariums look good and I'm sure they cost a fortune. I think if I were rich enough to be able to get something like that, I would!
Unpopular opinion but I actually really like the fake coral tank. It is so unique and it fits the space well. ADG is about the design of the room, not just the aquarium. I love the colors of it. MD’s typical style is amazing and my favorite, but it is cool to see the creativity of other aquarium designers.
I agree. It's honestly refreshing to see something so outside the hobby norms that looks so suited to its space. The colors and design would be out of place anywhere else, I think, and I wouldn't care for it in my home, but for what it is, it's incredibly well done. A real testament to the professionalism of ADG and their ability to give clients exactly what suits them.
I wouldn't want that tank in my home, but if that's what the client wanted, I'm not going to judge. The fish are happy, the client is happy, who cares if they are fresh water fish in a fake coral tank.
I’m okay with the false pretense of freshwater fish in a saltwater scene, I guess. What I’m not okay with, and will be amazed to see how long these poor fish actually live a quality life, is the mixing of bio tropes. African Cichlid Mbuna are largely herbivores while Peacocks and Haps need lots of protein. Worse though is the mixing of South American fish with Cihlids. SAs need much softer and lower PH whereas AC need very hard and high PH. Those Parrot Fish, if that’s what they are(hard to tell in vid) already looked very stressed. Are they 100% sure what they have? Lemon Yellows? Does he mean the Yellow Labs?
Can definitely see the appeal in an office setting, and love the very clear artistry. And also very appropriate for larger fish of course. But yes at home those scapes would slowly but surely get a bit greener every week😅 Looks like a fun and inspiring trip for you!
Not keen on the angel tank. Some of those fish were too big and it looked over stocked. If it were just the angels and a decent shoal of smaller fish, then it might look nicer. Not keen on hardscape only either. Still a vast improvement on bare bottom boxes of water that some fish are subjected to though. It does come across that some people view fish as living decorations.
The pineapple pleco ("looks like a tank") is unique among plecos because the swim bladder is not as regressed as other plecos, which is why it does that nice hovering swim most of the time.
I love the scapes these guys do. That scape they used the artificial corals in reminds me of what Ohio Fish Rescue has done with two very large tanks. I never thought that fresh water fish would look good with brightly colored salt water decorations (artificial coral), but if it's done right they really can!
The third one is my favorite. The colors of the fish, and the whimisical decor, match perfectly with this conference room vibe. Love it! I don't think a saltwater tank would compliment this modern, colorful design style.
The Houston aquariums shown in this video are AWESOME‼️ I especially like the last colorful one 👍 Even though it’s not MD’s style it’s great to see these guy’s artistic endeavors. Thank you to all of your participation in making this presentation ‼️👍🤗🙏
I love how fish can be so colourful that even put in a fake coral reef setting the fresh water fish look like salt water fish! I love this bloody hobby ❤️❤️ Thank you for this video and all of your others 🥰
Beautiful! ADG is hands down the best aquarium service company in N. America. Their strong background in aquascaping [learning from T. Amano] along with their strong knowledge and expertise makes them a landmark in the hobby. Wish them well!
Jeff's explanation of the subtle architectural considerations in the scape of the first tank sounds like sales talk he would pitch to the client but he is spot on because many architects respond to each site and integrate their buildings with the surrounding natural environment. This is what ADG have achieved here with the use of wood, stone and glass of course and they executed it well.
You, an aquarium guy: "Everyone wants to see the tanks" Me, a part-time amateur contractor who's not very good at it: "No, no, no, show me how tight that cabinetry fits against that wall again, plz"
MD thank you for the video, it must have taken hours for you to edit all the footage you took in Houston. I find it so interesting how ADG views the aquariums as part of the room design. Each aquarium is so well thought out, it’s amazing. Those are some breathtaking set ups you showed us! They are truly creating living art. It may not be to all our tastes but it’s quite amazing nevertheless.
Omg. I didn't know something so beautiful can be done with Aquariums. Absolutely stunning guys. I wish we had those choices of fish in New Zealand. Great to see. ❤
LOVE that idea of bagging up some aqua soil and tying h-ra (or other stem plants) around it, i have a 300 litre with 3 comets that just destroy any stems i've tried, even tying them to stones etc and burying them, they just dig big holes in the sand all around the roots. with this method of the aqua soil bag though, i couldn't see that being an issue. Nice one MD
Is it just me or does fish-keeping seem to just be on another level in the USA compared to the UK? Some of these tanks look like they're something from an art gallery. Absolutely amazing.
Hey MD. Idk if you'll ever see this 😅 but just wanted to say thank you for exposing me to such a fun hobby. Since watching your videos I can name aquatic plants I never knew of and truly enjoy a relaxing hobby. Thanks from the US 👌🏽
At first I did not like the aquarium with fake coral but after seeing how the colors matched tge fish and even surroundings, I ended up appreciating. I will always prefer planted tanks that look lush and natural, but its nice to see how creative people can be with fake coral and such.
I'm usually not fond of artificial corals etc but I actually liked that last one. It wasn't even trying to look real, looked more like a art deco poster.
I normally gravitate towards natural-looking, planted aquariums, and don't like artificial scapes at all, but...that last one was stunning as a design for the space. The only other artificial, mock-coral reef tank that i don't mind is the Bellagio/Cichlid tanks at Ohio Fish Rescue
Wow, those guys do some absolutely stunning aquariums. Holy shit...i was blown away man...thanks for sharing this video. Mitch from canonsburg Pennsylvania, USA
It's certainly very amazing to see how such a large firm works and the astounding pieces of art they create; you often, if at all, tend to think about the planning and work that goes into the large aquariums you see in a business or restaurant or something. And while I'm all with fully planted tanks because I want to see that aspect of growth and development as well, these hardscape-only tanks definitely look stunning, and they provide more and different options for the types of fish you can use in them as well (I would love tinfoils or flagtails, for instance, but the type of tank I would scape wouldn't last a day with those kind of fish in there😅

I always thought about doing the same. Prepare a tank that looks like a Salt Water tank. No need for tons of money and high maintenance with extra equipment etc.

Hello Team, Amazing display. Just curious, i dont see any plumbing with the `big tank with angel and placos. Could you please give some knowledge on how to you manage the plumbing without disturbing the view. Thanks in Advance

These guys are artists - it’s almost like surrealist aquascaping
How is it surreal?🤔
Last tank only needs plastic fish with the fake coral and then its 100% surealistic.

What is the pink fish in that tank?

I've seen all of these ideas before, yet the last tank makes me think about new possibilities again. Thank you.

I finally understand how interesting plecos are. The most common ones I see online look boring and are in poorly lit aquariums.
Just loved the faux cichlid reef tank with their beautiful colours and the funky reef😍
Congratulations on 750k!🎉
Last tank , amazing, love it. thanks for sharing work of this great company!!
Black neons are soooo underated cheap common and they school so dam well !!
Nice to see the odd clown loach here and there.
Got to be the next centrepiece fish for you MD.
Omg. I didn't know something so beautiful can be done with Aquariums. Absolutely stunning guys. I wish we had those choices of fish in New Zealand. Great to see. ❤
Chris Mitchell first scored century against UK in Cardiff and then shot beautiful aquarium in Texas , USA
Bravo

Incredible tanks and so well maintained. Works of art!
You should do a tank using aqua decor stuff that would be cool with the logs and background and rocks etc
The tanks look amazing wow!
Beautiful tans in a variety of spaces. This was really wonderful. Thanks for sharing MD and ADG.
The dimensions of that tank are amazing, Dear Santa.
Your videos are really nice and very good for beginners
I really liked the last aquarium. It was beautiful.
Schöne Tour mit interessanten Aquarien! 😉

I love seeing this!! It reminds me a tiny bit of the show Tanked. Which longer exists. Even the business is closed. 🐠🐟🐠🐟🐌🐠🐌🐟🐌🐟🐌
I went to adg yesterday and met the owner it was awesome
Very polite way of saying it’s an ugly fake reef tank 😂😂 But they make beautiful tanks 💪🏻
I added you to my recommended channel's video l uploaded yesterday 👍🐠🐟🐠
These guys are super humble in Houston, I will call them when I hit the lottery..lol
At first I did not like the aquarium with fake coral but after seeing how the colors matched tge fish and even surroundings, I ended up appreciating. I will always prefer planted tanks that look lush and natural, but its nice to see how creative people can be with fake coral and such.
Wow they are all amazing , very artistic designs.
All beautiful tanks! Composition is stunning. I’m interested in the backlighting, can you do more on those?
Imagine how many plants you could cram into that first badboy!!!
I'm usually not fond of artificial corals etc but I actually liked that last one. It wasn't even trying to look real, looked more like a art deco poster.
Yep. I think what they were shooting for. And it works.
There's no way that was that first guy's real voice. It's beautiful and so perfectly podcast-y
Not too keen on the bubbles in the Altum / Severum aquarium, ohh, and the big tetras too, but the rest is top 😊👌
It is my life's goal to become a professional fish man. This is the dream.
Wow, those guys do some absolutely stunning aquariums. Holy shit...i was blown away man...thanks for sharing this video. Mitch from canonsburg Pennsylvania, USA
Stunning tanks
Amazing artistry.
Excited to see how your builds evolve after this trip 😁
It's certainly very amazing to see how such a large firm works and the astounding pieces of art they create; you often, if at all, tend to think about the planning and work that goes into the large aquariums you see in a business or restaurant or something. And while I'm all with fully planted tanks because I want to see that aspect of growth and development as well, these hardscape-only tanks definitely look stunning, and they provide more and different options for the types of fish you can use in them as well (I would love tinfoils or flagtails, for instance, but the type of tank I would scape wouldn't last a day with those kind of fish in there😅
Very interesting video.
These tanks make my 200 ltr oak look like a fish bowl 😂😂😂
Absolutely loved the first two displays.
Love Cory’s build!
It would of been so nice to have seen ADG put that huge aquarium together, I hope for the next they'll let you know, so we can view the scape.
Wow I love the tanks amazing
I’m a planted tank diehard, but dang, this is rad. Double doff!!
Exactly, I'm a bogwood and plant person, but that last tank was pretty cool. I had Tinfoils that size or a little bigger years ago in with Tiger Oscars. The number of people that visited and stopped dead staring, not realising that the 1" long ones the shops sell can grow that large given the space and time.
I always thought about doing the same. Prepare a tank that looks like a Salt Water tank. No need for tons of money and high maintenance with extra equipment etc.
WE CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH PLECOS ! 1000% agree 😂 thank you for sharing this incredibles scapes and aquarium
I can see the aesthetic of what these guys do, but the hardscape-only tanks seem boring for fish so I find them unsettling. All they do is swim around in small, bare spaces constantly. I much prefer your planted tanks - they seem so much more enriching for the fish.
I see your point,
But maybe take a look at actual habitats these fish inhabit. Many, MANY dont even have plants grow anywhere near where they live and if they do its 1 kind of plant on the mariginal edges of the river/lake.
Just a point on the defence of hardscape focused tanks sometime it is more 'natural'
Any tank with uaru in it can’t have plants. They eat them all!
@@jonathankool1997 I get what you're saying, and I'm sure that's true. But those fish in their own habitats also have lots more swim space than a single tank surrounded by all the same other fish day in, day out. No tank can be totally natural, after all.
completely unrelated to the amazing aquariums but holy, mike senske got a golden voice
Awesome video MD
I quite like the minimalist hard scaped tanks, they seem to really make the fish pop and are the centre of attention. That last tank though was horrific, I mean actually painful to look at. Even the fish selection was a train wreck in that tank. Other opinions are available.
Some beautiful tanks…. Would be amazing if Corey got let loose to work on the tank that had the Altum Angels.
WOW beautiful 🤩
Is this the first video you had someone namebomb you in and blow up the secret of who MD is? Lol
I’m setting up my first proper aqua scape. All of the videos on here that use sand to cover aqua soil show the sand being put on dry. I have been told to rinse my aquarium sand (aqua-substrate AS6018 riverbed sand) but am worried this will make it clump up more and be hard to spread out without disturbing the 1.5cm layer of dry aqua soil that will be below the sand. I always see dry aqua sand on the builds on this channel.
Does Mike have a podcast? I could listen to his voice for hours😊
Scape by Cory Hopkins, beautiful!! Love it, how they pitch there dead mother for a high class woman off the night😂
"The creator and the creation are one and the same. Creation is formed out of the creator, just like dance comes out of the dancer."
My all fishes are dead but now I've learn so many things from you....keep it up brother 🥺....
You do set up your hardscape as nice as ADG, if not better(no pun intended) but you always covered them with curtains of plants(pun intended) 😂🤣 jokes aside, that's why I would love to see you do hardscape only tank with robust cichlids, filamentosa barbs or other colorful fish that eat plants
Wooow beatufuil acuarios y peces ❤
Wow! Some amazing aquariums! Kudos for being able to film these. What was the name of that red plant at 12:13?
It is a Rotala rotundifolia H'ra
Awesome, cheers
So I have a question, my sister gave me her old 20 gallon fish tank with her fish tank accessories and I was wondering do I need to use both the Hold On Back Filter and Sponge Filter together or only use one of them?
Great video, thank you.
Some great looking aquariums here!
On a side note, do you guys use polarising filters on your lenses? If not, they will help to cut the reflections on the glass a bit.
I really like the look of hardscape only tanks and Id like make one for myself but I was wondering how does ADG avoid algae without having any plants?
17:20 alien abduction
This is what I mentioned when you were asking for fresh ideas for your new studio. I suggested a mega massive walk-around tank where you practically have to don scuba gear to maintain it. Have a jungle set up in the middle to intensify the intrigue as to what's going on with the areas you can't see.
Love all the Tanks!!! They are ART!!! Is it possible to name the fish in the Faux Coral Tank? Thank you 💛💛
Iv talked to Cory many of time every body their great love ADG
What is thickness of the glass and wich adhesive is use to bind.
Super biudi!
Absolutely love your videos ! Will you be doing a aquascape with the new superfish quadro tank ?
