    I'm sure this has been said before but the living animal in the thumbnail and at 0:33 is Nautilus pompilius, which is a Nautiloid and not an ammonite as ammonites are extinct.

      Lasts gem show here in Tucson they broke a new record. This year ( it is at the start of the year , late January to early March). I have no wholesale, however I could advise. In stones, they do believe their jewelry as the greatest. No, no, it needs improvement.

    I found SO MUCH SYNCHRONIZATION in this video because I purchased this exact same looking AMMOLITE shell today but it was under the name AMMONITE and you put in your video description AMMONITE but explained perfectly what AMMOLITE is. 🔮

    Why don't you mention how much ammolite costs? The specimen you were holding is museum quality and costs tens of thousands of dollars. Why don't you include that information? In the comments people think they can afford it!

    Almost all bear paw ammonites don’t come out of the ground in perfect shape. They are either in peices or missing parts due to geological activity or predatory animals (mosasaur) from their time before extinction.

    So if I found an ammonite fossil about 6 inches in diameter, (but dropped it and it broke into 4 pieces)what would it be worth?

    Ammonites appeared at around 240 million years ago when dinosaurs appeared and went extinct at around 65 million years ago along with the dinosaurs. The largest species grew up to 9 FEET IN SIZE!!!

  • @aislinngraves4291
    @aislinngraves4291 6 років тому

    that is so beautiful! Is it opal? Or are the colors produced by the creature and then fossilized?

    • @mimilamb4lifemariahthequee679
      @mimilamb4lifemariahthequee679 5 років тому

      It's not opal ,it's ammolite a fossil gemstone That created with the fossilisation of the mother of Pearl of shells,it's composed of aragonite,same element of mother of Pearl but It's filled with silice and other minerals which give those colors
