I've been watching a few of those vids, pattern is showing. First you get the comments about "Is this a porn intro?" and then you get the list of mistake.
Guys i can tell most of you are american bartenders just by your comments. There is a big difference between bartending in america and in Europe. I appreciate americans and their flair bartending done with a great deal of showmanship and flashines, however in Europe specifically London bartenders are more focussed on mixing and creating ellegant drinks appealing to the eye first. You can stir the cocktail any time you like to mix in the spirits.
am not being a hater or anything but thats the first time i see someone shaking a long island iced tea and puting coke first instead on top. has to be on top so that it looks like an iced tea. Thats my favourite cocktail i looooove it
Savvas Savva you have to shake anything with acidic juice like lime. it breaks up the chemical bonds allowing it to form with the cocktail. Also that guy used way too much coke
What kind of iced tea are you drinking that has coke colored liquid on top? Also to everyone complaining, cocktails aren't always made the same, this has the same ingredients as a long island, the ratios just different, honestly looks better than half the long islands i normally see. Def better than the long islands that are just a bunch of sour mix topped with a splash of coke
Wtf lmao. When I saw the dislike and like ratio i was like what!? Then I saw the video and I totally understand 😂. She was like you fucked up somewhere haha
LIT's are my fav. drink and I've made quite a few of them. Instead of dismissing this recipe without trying it, I went ahead and made it. I thought the balance was a little off so I doubled the lemon/simple syrup. The resulting flavor was one of the best I've had though the color was darker than usual. I did roll the drink so the cola and alch. was mixed. The fresh ingredients beat sour mix hands down.
@BrendanChaplain One shot is equal to 1 oz. and 1 oz is equal to about 29.5 mL. He says 2 shots. He pours 50 mL where 2 shots is 59mL roughly. Did you expect him to say 1.69491525 shots to the lady? Get your measurements right.
im no pro... but i do work at a bar... and as it is called "iced tea", i feel like it should have that light ice tea look. i usually mix it all together with lemons inside as well as on on top, and splash of coke so its not so dark
It is sugar sirup allso called simple sirup. To make it you need 1 to 1 ratio of water and sugar. So heat up one cup of water intill you can see small bubbles on the bottom of the pan (don't boil it). When the water is heated up add one cup of sugar and stir it intill it is compleately disolved in the water. So then you have a clear and sweet liquid. Now just lett it cool down to room temperature and you got your sirup. (Some like to use 2 cups sugar to 1 cup water, but then it gonna be sweet.)
haha love the comments couldnt agree more - due to rsa every place limits their quanitities yet still it shoulve been mixed well enough to have a dull tea look to it.. dont know why double topped it with coke anyway... damn...
one standard shot =1 1/2 onz = 45 ml aprox. And its ok because he prepared it in a Highball glass, But what he really had to do was prepared it in a Tall glass, it is a strong and large drink after all. Using 30 ml aprox of each spirit.
@anurek123 If you were a bartender, you'd know 25ml of each booze would inflate the cost of the drink quite a bit. The IBA standard is 15 ml of each; looks like he adjusted the quantities for aesthetic purposes (the coke layering is interesting) and also perhaps for the lady's taste (she clearly doesn't like strong). Cocktail making isn't a science: things change, and as long as the customer is happy, the bartender did his job.
@solittleusernames it isn't supposed to taste anything remotely like iced tea... it's called that because of an old, subtle joke. Looks a bit like iced tea, tastes like a glass full of liquor.
@33threekings That is a good way to make the Iced tea. A cocktail should look appealing to the eye. The separated layes have the wow effect with most customers. And of course an experienced drinker is going to stir drink after its served same way one would serve s sea breeze or a key west cooler or any other layered longdrink/cocktail. Again layers are just for the eye and presentation. Pls learn some serving manners/etiquette before making this judgmental oppinions.
you must put 15ml of each. 10 ml of each is just 50ml alcohol total. Many of your other cocktails on this channel has 50ml or more, so you should deducts that you did something wrong when your "really strong" is not stronger than many of your other "normal" cocktails. If any bar is putting only 10ml each in LIT, I consider it a rip off. It should be strongest/one of the strongest cocktails, so 15ml each as IBA states.
hi, sorry for my english for first. I know that the recipes of this drink are balanced in: 15 ml of every spirit, and 3/4 oz of simple syrup, and, 1 and one quarter of ounce of lemon juice. it's right? And... in my ignorance, i don't think that this free pouring is not 10ml.. What you think?
is this video an intro to a porno ?
that is absolutely true... 😂😂😂he might be already spiked that drink...😉😂😅
😂😂😂
Xxx.teenswholovetofuck
Aww, she looked so excited to drink it.
I love this drink! i also loved the guy making it😉 I was smiling the whole time just watching it
Either this is her only oufit, or these clips were filmed in one session(in which case she must have got hammered)!
Far too much coke, plus overly gentle on the spirits - should be topped with a splash of coke!
natpash shouldn’t be topped at all with coke!
"Coke to color". He used ten times too much coke.
Way too much lemon as well.
I've been watching a few of those vids, pattern is showing. First you get the comments about "Is this a porn intro?" and then you get the list of mistake.
that drink would made my day :D
I always love big straw :3
the IBA standard Long Island Iced Tea is made with 15 ml of each white spirit and 30 ml of sugar syrup and 25 ml of lemon juice!
super super good

The best long Iceland ice tea

Airy Ellis you are suppose to serve it like this in the video, then the customers is suppose to stir it give the lighter tea look!
Or maybe actual tea?
HEHEHE Legolas preparing cocktails!?

A NEW "UPSIDEDOWN LONG ISLAND ICED TEA"
very nice version of the Long Island, I would just propose that you should stir it at the end.
NICE I like that 2 part efect, coke first.
@sylvestermarini84 ...with tequila istead of gin it's called the 'mexican ice tea'
That's because you can use any rum, tequila, gin and vodka but he wanted to specify on the cointreau because its the best for Long Islands
@TheHardon1 That's how I do it too. Fresh hand squeezed lemon in a shaker and topped with Coke. This 50mL is not strong.
I don't know where that "Long Island" place is (Or if it even exists)- But they got a hell of a drink.
@33threekings yeah good man, LAB is ace. Where you serving drinks?
I can see it in her eyes
@Reak55 With pleasure. I don't frequent poor quality establishments for the lover order such as yours.
do you like it??
and i believe this was filmed in London where 25ml is indeed one standard shot
i like... :)
oh yes
it depends where;)
haha love the comments couldnt agree more - due to rsa every place limits their quanitities yet still it shoulve been mixed well enough to have a dull tea look to it.. dont know why double topped it with coke anyway...
damn...
this is a classic texas ice thea... but... destructurated...
hey i have the same lonhg island but i make it that the coke stay on top
Top it with coke, huh? *as he dumps the liquor over half a glass of cola*
one standard shot =1 1/2 onz = 45 ml aprox.
And its ok because he prepared it in a Highball glass, But what he really had to do was prepared it in a Tall glass, it is a strong and large drink after all. Using 30 ml aprox of each spirit.
presentation is a big deal.. the separate liquids looks really cool.
yeah come to my bar ill do it the same way but if you want coke on the bottom or on top your request
I bet they got it on after all this was done. ;D
Why two straws?
every bar man a whole world always feel thirsty if customers took any drink in front of him.
I make it with 1 1/2 ounces (44 mL) of each spirit. And then the "splash" is about 3 oz of coke.
I think he make long Island first time
American's looking for new workers

@33threekings where's ur bar man?
how did it get the name long Island iced tea without tea
When done properly, it should have the appearance like a glass of regular iced tea including a slice of lemon, but obviously tastes nothing like it.
also, it was created in long island.
When you mix together the layers it has the same color
traditional long island ice tea is without tequila
Okay well in my country, one standard shot is 25ml.
one standard shot is 25ml
he'll be sucking her toes after this effort!
@solittleusernames it isn't supposed to taste anything remotely like iced tea... it's called that because of an old, subtle joke. Looks a bit like iced tea, tastes like a glass full of liquor.
ME FRIEND I WILL GIVE YOU A TIP
@danieldemelk hahaha :))))
It's named Long Island Ice Tea and his result doesn't look like an ice tea at all
you top it off with a splash of cola, never add it first. It makes a difference
WTF MAN?! TEQUILA?!
And the coke is supposed to go in after for fuck sake.
its upside down
@33threekings That is a good way to make the Iced tea. A cocktail should look appealing to the eye. The separated layes have the wow effect with most customers. Too much coke but I like how it looks.
mazza che sorca lei
JAAA amount of coke is for the hobbit style drink! Legolas... she loves the way you shake it, move on!
Not of enough alcohol at all
you must put 15ml of each.

that's the opposite of a l.i.t.
is that bartender a rooki or WTF
Add sugar syrup when you add Cola? Yikes
Troppo coca Cola non c va la tequila e va fatto in tecnica build no shake
he should have said triple sec not cointreau
cointreau is a brand not a drink type
wait a minuet....don't you just put a splash of coke on top and it's suppose to look and taste ice tea.
a lot of guys dont know how to work.what it should be when the bar is full of customers ???its really annoying
everybody bartender)))learn classic)))
that was ALOT of coke
Not sure what the fuck he made but it wasn't a long island iced tea.

WTF IS IT????

WHAT A NOOB :)
worst long island ice tea ever, and the excuse of every bar has their own recipe doesnt involve in this video cause that shit is just wrong
god his hair is disgusting - I'd cut that off after a few of those!! lol this drink should be mixed before drinking
close up on his face is way too close. Creepin me out
also this is *not* a "classy" drink, not at all.
shite!
At least 15 ml should be every spirit and u dnt need to add sugar syrup if u are using too much cokee
As a bartender nt satisfied with ur video
Lose the man bun dude
This looked like a shitty Long Island. I would have refused to pay for this.
This man cannot work....
Not even a double. Too much coke. What a disgrace to the drink.
Most annoying customer ever!
Rubbish! ...and I wont be visiting Soho House for a cocktail.
This woman is a cringe
