Yes, you can use Spring RestTemplate, Feign or any other library you like to access REST endpoints. Or other Java libraries for whatever type of API you have. The great thing about Java is that there's support for almost anything :)
When you opened up IntelliJ, what type of project did you specify? Empty? Something else? Your video skips over a very important step with no explanation of what you did to get to where you are. For example, you talk about dragging a file into IntelliJ, but you leave out the steps that allowed you to do that. What did you do at the IntelliJ splash screen? New Project? Empty Project? Details please! As a wild guess, I tried "Open Project" while pointing to the todo directory. Just when I thought it was going to work, up pops a suggestion that I run npm install. I try doing that and boom! This error happens: Could not install from "target\flow-frontend" as it does not contain a package.json file It appears to be related to the following line in package.json in the dependencies section: "vaadin/flow-frontend" : "./target/flow-frontend", what is the solution or work-around to the above error/
Thanks Marcus for introducing vadin

Full stack! awesome!

Question: Can we use Vaadin with external API calls?

@@marcushellberg13 Thanks for prompt reply. It helps
There's a nice example here: vaadin.com/blog/building-a-dashboard-for-a-rest-web-service-in-java
I did drag the pom.xml over my IntelliJ icon but it did not open the project for me. I am using IntelliJ Community Edition on my Ubuntu OS though.
how can i setup context path? assume my app should load on localhost:8080/crm
How can we publish the vaadin app to chrome web store?

agree with you
The fact people are still making web page user interfaces without a UI tool says they have a mental illness.
I like that............................do shady stuff.................vaadin ....................sure................:) ...........bye
