I couldn't help smiling when I saw thus video. BTW, I watch many of your videos and like how your show the recipes with so much clarity. This one I routinely make in bulk and send to my children who live abroad to use as a base for veg and non veg kurmas. As I fry the final gravy well till there is no moisture this stays in fridge fir months, with little care to keep moisture away from it. I have been sending two types of base gravy masalas for nearly 8 years now. One is tomato based like how you have shown, and another is dhania powder based. I use dry coconut instead of fresh coconut. Fried grams are optional. This is very useful not only as a side dish, but like I said to make and keep in fridge...and dish out a veg / non veg korma, egg masala etc in a jiffy. Thank you for a nice video.

Try it with a patience ... She is such a fantastic cook bringing with good dishes and cooking for many years... Nothing wrong with her on giving this kind of dish ...
Sure.. this ll come out well Eat with idli or dosa .. add veggies.. make sure you smash tomato well before adding coconut paste. Also boil well for sometime before finishing

The mistake must be on your part. Like the quantity of coconut must have been less or more; or the quality of tomatoes might not have been good.
