This reporter from Fox is surprisingly great at interviewing. He is introspective, sensitive and asks really nice questions; a far cry from most reporters at the press junkets. Fantastic interviews.
FireCracker3240 I agree... I think that many reporters/interviewers make the whole thng about themself.... just look at talkshow hosts...itś just "me me me me" But this guy seem interrested in what the actors have to say....
This is how you really dig deep into the emotions and minds of the actors/actresses... these questions are real and raw. Bravo, best interview I've seen!
I've just watched this film, and it has left me in tears because I think it is so truly amazing. Eddie Redmayne Is an amazing actor and also just an amazing person. He really understands people. He really has shown the true feelings of Lili Elbe and people just like her. It upsets me to see how horrible people can be to seeing things like this film because they just don't understand the way some people feel about themselves, But I really support this type of thing, I support everyone and anyone like Lili who feels that way about themselves. I wish there wasn't labels in the world. I myself love acting and theatre, and film. And I one day wish to become as good an actor as Eddie is c:
Such phenomenal actors! The Oscar was well deserved for Alicia, but I am quite sad that Eddie did not receive one. They both deserved it, this film is beautiful I cannot get over how well they portrayed these characters.
It was just a very bad timing for Eddie. He won an Oscar the previous year and I believe the academy didn't want to give him an Oscar 2 years in a row. I know it happened before but not often. I believe Eddie would have won the Oscar if The Theory of Everything and The Danish Girl had a few years apart as opposed as having the 2 movies 2 years in a row. Well done Eddie.
Because Eddie portrayed Lili so wonderfully, I watched this movie 5 times. Mr. Redmayne is the finest actor of this generation!!!!! I can not wait to see more movies he'll be starring in.
It is amazing that he appears to be shy and easily flustered, yet he is so open-minded and fuss-free in the way he embraces the world and his arts (success or failure, good/bad or humiliating critics).
His acting is absolutely amazing. Every time he smiles or looks down or something it just feels so real! Plus, the interviewer asks really good questions!
Redmayne simply embodied Lily, figuratively and metaphorically. He reminds me so much of a young Daniel Day Lewis in terms of pure immersion into his characters.
Oh my goodness! Eddie Redmayne is honestly so phenomenal! Additionally, he is SO FREAKING HANDSOME OH MY GOSH! How does he look like that? Like, regarding how HANDSOME he is xDD Eddie is an outstanding actor. It's amazing! Especially since Fantastic Beasts came out, I watched the movie 25 times because it's so beautiful xD
You know, I find it so interesting, transgender and gender fluidity... Like Eddie was saying about sports being seen as masculine and art as feminine. I think that's really the cause of people wanting to go transgender - being expected to be in these rigid gender roles. I don't agree with gender reassignment surgery, mostly because I don't think it's really physical issue. It's about how eg guys can paint as well and shouldn't be expected to be completely masculine. Notice how most transgender people don't really go entirely into the other gender either - like Lana Wachowski (from the formerly Wachowski Brothers who did the Matrix) - she doesn't dress like your standard "elegant" female either, what people really want is not to be forced to just do "masculine" or just "feminine" things. Also, it's interesting that they speak of it as if it's a new thing, but it's more just our modern culture: If you look at the fashion a couple hundred years ago, the royal men also wore very beautiful, "frilly" clothes, that was just normal fashion, what we'd consider very "un-manly" nowadays.
The real hero is Gerda and not Einer/Lili. One person is trying to find his/herself, on the other hand Gerda is giving unconditional true love. Einer/Lili is a kinda selfish human being and i dont think asking for support is a way of expressing LOVE. I understand that when you are traped your whole life the only thing that matters is breaking free, but in the end Love is more important.
gamotousername I disagree. Lili is probably the most generous. You see she always felt that way. Hiding who you are for other people is mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting.
AJthesaltine but there’s nothing wrong in saying there’s a wrong way to handle things and a right way and einar/lili handled them the wrong way. I’m disabled and I’m still very aware of how my disability affects others. Lili didnt give a crap.
Alicia Vikander is the only reason why I want to see this film because she was amazing in ex machina. Other than that this film looks like pure Oscar bai:, more focused on its own importance and forcing you to feel a certain way rather than just showing what happened and letting you figure out how to feel on your own. Great Interview though
Eddie Redmayne is an amazing actor and very respectful, but I do wish they cast an actual trans person in the role of Lili and actual danish people because if you hear danish people speak english, they (most likely) don't have a perfect british accent
Working not chronologically must be so tough. Respect to Eddie for his work.

His questions, kind of, spoil the movie though for those who have not seen it yet.

I agree with everything you just said
you are beautiful inside and out.
hands down best interview of this movie so far
Such phenomenal actors! The Oscar was well deserved for Alicia, but I am quite sad that Eddie did not receive one. They both deserved it, this film is beautiful I cannot get over how well they portrayed these characters.
Agreed! Eddie's performance is incredible. There's so many moments where I just watch his mannerisms and hand movements...it's like watching a ballet.
It was just a very bad timing for Eddie. He won an Oscar the previous year and I believe the academy didn't want to give him an Oscar 2 years in a row. I know it happened before but not often. Yes I agree...so pissed of that he didn’t get the oscar but Leonardo deserved it too...
Eddie Redmayne is always so passionate when talking, full of passion, i love him!
Because Eddie portrayed Lili so wonderfully, I watched this movie 5 times. Mr. Redmayne is the finest actor of this generation!!!!! I can not wait to see more movies he'll be starring in.

These questions are amazing! Best interview
"The confines of masculinity" what a beautiful way to phrase this
I predict Alicia and Eddie will win Oscars for this. They both deserve it.
Eddie Redmayne is soooooooo amazing! Xxxx
Both of their performances look great! Don't think Eddie Redmayne will win it again but I think Alicia Vikander has a better chance of winning.
+SJMJ91 yes she does i actually think Vikander's performance was actually superior to eddie's
Philip Moore Agreed. Redmayne's performance here had a mountain to climb to beat his role as Stephen Hawking, but it was still very good though.
I think so too!
+SJMJ91 Good job ;)
t
I don't even care that Eddie is married and 10 years older than me, 😂 I love him so much ❤
Eddie, you're so amazing
Eddie is the love of my life

Eddie is really attractive to me.. everyone else says he's so ugly but like where??
That he's ugly? LOL. That's just jealous guys for sure. That's the best looking face I've seen on a guy no doubt
hes GORGEOUS! Lets just say i wasn't mad about his nude scene ;) ...
I've never heard someone saying that he is ugly
I love this film so much
He was amazing, he should have won an Oscar.
I loooooove Eddie redmayne
he was robbed of an Oscar...
Eddie is one of the best actors working today. Alicia is so beautiful btw
No joke, the reporter is hot

Vousie V there's a difference between being a bit more masculine/feminine and having gender dysphoria
Eddie is a really intelligent guy. Not true for all actors ;)
The real hero is Gerda and not Einer/Lili. One person is trying to find his/herself, on the other hand Gerda is giving unconditional true love. +gamotousername She says it at the end: "What did I do to deserve such love?"
gamotousername I disagree. Lili is probably the most generous. You see she always felt that way. Hiding who you are for other people is mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting.

James H definitely southern, but Im Not going to try pinpoint it
Eddie is a beautiful man AND woman.
👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

alas! i have to disagree on the last comment of his! we have to be defined by a specific gender. Great performances for both thoug!
I have never found him attractive and I think I will never
I once seen like a woman I'll always see him as a woman
Let’s not forget he died in the end.
