Hey Jaime. I watched your first speed ramping tutorial with the orange Audi late last year. I studied it for hours, chopped it up, learnt it from back to front. I started a new job 6 months ago in a full time media position for an engineering company in Australia. Previous to this I was a welder by trade and hated my job. No bullshit when I say your video was a huge part in teaching me the basics of speed ramping which in turn allowed me to change my life and chase my passion. Keep it up mate.
dude, that's awesome and inspiring! i'm trying to find my way (and CONFIDENCE) to do the same! hats off to you for taking the leap. Cheers to an awesome and prosperous 2025 for you man!!
I've watched a ton of videos on speed ramping, and this is the first one that has actually explained how to get those buttery smooth movements from start to finish, and the only one I've come across that shows the workflow in fusion. Great video, thanks Jamie!
I am learning the dynamics of time stretcher it definitely looks much batter the just changing the speed in the edit page, it gives so many more options of style
I am planning to a car video very soon, and your walkthroughs and ideas are on another level. I always learn something new watching you videos. You do such a great job on your tutorials. Thanks for sharing.
Very well explained, straight to the point, step by step easy to follow. From how to shoot to how to edit. Thank you for this!!! The algorithm needs to push this more 🙌🏽
You're a great teacher Jamie! Extremely intelligent as well... the only reason I can do some cool stuff in da Vinci resolve is because of your tutorials. They are easy to understand but very detailed at the same time
Awesome as always Jamie, just droped an IG video using these effects! I always learn something new, the "pull to the right on the curve number" on 20:18 is a secret feature I had no idea about!!
Dude, how cool is that please??? I swear I love you! I have watched so many of your videos and all of them have brought me further! You are for me the best content creator in the world and now you have a masterclass for free! Respect! And many thanks to you! Your videos and your presets are awesome! I hope we'll run into each other at some point, even if I'm from Germany. You are the absolute madness and your way of making videos is unparalleled! For me there is no one who can do it better!
Great description, thank you. Turned out for me with having the clips available and a storyboard in my mind, I put in a music clip first and edit the film on top of it
@ I peeped your motion blur plugin, although we are Team Resolve over here I see it’s similar to to RSMB plugin for them. But yeah finally. Glad someone made a motion blur plugin for resolve, a dope one at that too. I own all your other plugins. I definitely look forward to purchasing this one to 🤝🏾
Everything is great and helpful thank you. A small detail I noticed that u missed out is adjusting the shutter speed to avoid capturing the light flickering. Which happens all the time cuz we are looking at the small camera monitor during post production 😄
Hey Jamie this tutorial is amazing, Thank you very much for showing that we can actually also do this in DaVinci Resolve and not only with Adobe AE. One question how do you set up your Deadband on your DJI RS3 Mini?
Thanks, helped me alot. I do a 1 min speedramp video the first time on my own and its hell of work. Cutting the clips, find a good track, set the marker on the soundbumps, fit the clips to the length of the soundmarkers, find clips that fit togehter, colourgrading, effects. I guess in total i will need for that 1 min Video like 20 hours. And then im sure it wont be perfect. But i am a beginner.
0:37 Where did you get these sfx?! The amount of times I've just rewatched this whole video just for the sounds is unhealthy 🤣 Did you record them yourself? I don't know what it is about them but with my speakers it sounds soooo good
Thank you mate it's a really good video, bty i need to know if you turned on your internal stabilisition in your camera. If yes what are your settings pls.
Thank you for this awesome video! What's about your deadband settings of your gimbal? I'm struggling to keep my point of interest in the middle of the frame when I try to orbit around my subject. Do you have any further tips how to improve and practice that?
Este es el primero video que me aparece con la nueva funcion de audio añadido en otro idioma, la verdad es que ayuda mucho a los que no hablan español y la traduccion es bastante precisa, pero el sonido es muy robotico, de todas manera gran avance 🤝
How did you do the pixel sort effect, mask builds, and the rotating slider effect? been learning from you for a long time, this is an incredible video!
@@JamieFenn can't wait! Went to the store and was hoping the pixel sort was a plug in offered, looks like I'll have to wait for the video. Your videos really have taken my resolve skills to the next level! its nice to see effects like pixel, etc being used in resolve as AE had that market cornered for a long time. If you ever need a beta tester, let me know haha.
Hey Jamie. Thanks for an awesome masterclass and the great value as always. I have a bit of an issue with your shake sauce effect. Whenever I use it, theres a brief pause at the end of it before playback resumes. I tried redownloading the effect hoping maybe its been updated with a fix or something but I cant find a way to without repurchasing. Am i possibly doing something wrong? Also I think it'd be awesome if you made dedicated videos for your plugins/vfx and how you'd recommend we use them maybe? I hope for some feedback. Thank you
@ v9.0 build 69 . However i tried some other shake fx and noticed they did the same so its probably a bug with the software and nothing to do with your plugin after all.
HOLD UP #2 !! I would waste my time and create a compound clip when dealing with speed ramping on a reversed clip. I didn't know I needed to adjust the numbers at the bottom, thanks again Jamie !
Hey Jamie, love your Videos they are so much helpfull for me because I am new in DaVinci Resolve Business. I don‘t have a good equipment yet and don‘t know what to buy. Can you make a Video of the stuff you are using. Especially of what Cameras you use, with which MacBook you work (how much GB‘s of RAM does it have and which CPU and GPU) and which Gimbals you use for example your Car Videos. Thanks again for the best DaVinci Resolve Videos on UA-cam✌🏼🤝🏼
Hey Jamie, i just bought the motion blur plugin from you. My question is, do i have to change the parameters for example the simple or extreme motion blur? btw. great tutorial !!
Why do you use the planar tracker at 16:50 instead of stabilisation in the edit page? Isn't that the same result but much faster? Just asking if I miss something Thank you for your great tutorials. You're my favourite Teacher by far

I wanted to know if you can do everything you want with your MacBook M2 Max without any problems or if you would opt for a slightly more powerful configuration? Hey man no problem! Yes M2 Max will do pretty well! I would opt to get the newest fastest MacBook possible if you can. With at LEAST 32gb of memory. I’m still on the M1 Max and I do just fine.

thanks for video, do you think 1080p 100fps will be too much for speed ramping? I just want to know is it better shoot 1080p with 50 fps rather than 100 fps,, my camera is Sony a7c and its quietly capable of shooting crisp images, another issue is I use sigma 24-70 mm lens, its little bit heavy for my dii rs 3 mini.
You could film down to even 24 fps but just remember that will be your “slow motion” part. I typically wouldn’t go about 60fps. The gimbal is smooth and with post stabilization you can make it look pretty smooth
@@JamieFenn thanks for answer, but in my situation 100fps is much more crisp, the quality is much better than 50fps, and Sony a7c can't shoot 4k 60fps, that's the only reason I am shooting 100fps 1080p. I think it doesn't stress to much on my MacBook machine because it's not 4k 120fps

I agree but the time stretcher is not as straight forward as the retime curve in the edit page
