I don’t know enough about the etruscans oscans but I think these would work great fit any Italian allies for the Romans :) I’m guessing if you wanted to go down the Etruscan route you could always change the shields up abit rather than having them all with scutums?
Excellent information and presentation. I have stayed with metal figures for two reasons, the first you have solved. I don't need or want any more Velites - I didn't realise you could build such as unarmoured Hastati or such. The second problem is those spears look like tree trunks, I prefer metal spears. Not sure there are enough sword arms so that all figures are all using the gladius. Oh well. Looking forward to more. Very enjoyable.
Thanks :) yeah I agree with the spears as they’re chunky. Metal spears would look better. And yes there isn’t enough for every mini to have a sword but you have enough for a couple of units if you wanted :)
They have one new pectoral armour design (the round plate) and they’re in different poses but apart from that they are similar to armoured samnites.you get 60 minis in this box set but only 24 in the armoured samnite box set.
Yea this is a great looking set :) I thought about giving them some swords but decided to keep them uniform with the rest of my army by equipping them with pila, however in the future I might buy some more and build them up with swords.
Great idea to use these as Principes and Triarii. I'm going to have to do that! Fantastic work!
Thankyou 👍
this is the best unboxing i've seen!
Thank you :)
Very cool unboxing I keep meaning to buy the spqr starter set
Thankyou :) I’ve always had a soft spot for Ancient Rome
Nice one mate, really enjoyed this, has helped me massively as deciding on Roman kits at the moment 👍
Thanks Martin :) all three box sets from victrix are great :) but this box set has more variety
Victrix really do some nice figures.Details look really good.Should look v good with some color on.👍🤗🐻
I love the victrix kits :) well I’m hoping to get some paint on the soon! :)
@@KingMATTtheSuperior look forward to seeing them painted.👍🤗🐻
Nice unboxing mate. Lots of choice makes me wonder if they could be used as Etruscan or Oscan hoplites.

@@KingMATTtheSuperior that's what I was thinking stick a few Hoplite shields in the unit. While not 100% accurate I think it would work quite well.
@@paulspaintshed3511 yeah that would work I think :) the samnite box set has a great selection of shields so you could always mix both sets.

Nice unboxing mate. The army must be getting big now?
Yeah I think I’m just under 250 miniatures once these are painted :)
Thanks for the video. Indeed they look similar to armoured samnites, is there any difference appart from the number of guys?

Great looking set, cheap, so many figures, maybe one squad with swoards would be nice, but i guess you have plenty already.

Love the unboxing. I'm becoming a Victrix convert more and more. The instructions are a bit 'meh' but the figures are so nice!
Thankyou :) I’m a victrix fan through and through haha
