This tank is very interesting. The way it doesn't get the nitrates, i don't know if fish need nitrates. I doubt it but anyway i like the setup of this tank a lot. I like the brown water but i would like the tank if it wasn't brown.

your other suckerfish swim around the water column too sometimes. sometimes they will just hang out with the minnows in the mid section of the water.

Yeah, I was watching them do that today. Suddenly, the new fish seemed perfectly normal.

@@DanHiteshew-oneandonly it'd probably hang out with them if it was in the new native tank.

swimming into the water flow means it is looking for more O2. You need to add some airstone or something. maybe a small power head with an air stone to increase the O2 levels in that tank. That might have also contributed to your guppies dying. Until you know for sure I would do it just to cover bases. Seeing your second video with the Sculpin recovery from the trap. The water in the stream is colder and running much faster and thus carrying much more O2 than normal, Plus these fish are gearing up for full winter temps. My money would be on lack of O2 dissolved into the tank water.

@Peter Landy Which is why it got stuck in the water changing python tube. More flowing water.

Your bottom feeder is a aggressive bottom dweller it wants its own spot and they do move about swimming and they bump other fish if they get to close to him....but the craziest thing is hes kool with the crabs I have?..lol but yeah hes healthy but bad ass dont worry.
