- I changed out the engine oil and hydraulic oil in my FF12 mini excavator. I highly suggest doing this once you get them home. The oil and hydraulic fluid that comes in them from the factory is not very good.
I just bought a QH12. I am gonna change the hydraulic fluid like you did. I would also install a filter on the hydraulic line. If you could take close up pictures of the filter installation and hydraulic hoses It will be appreciated, or maybe in your next video. Good idea to have installed hinges'. great video thanks

@@JIgginCrappie I have since learned that my hydro filter is inside the tank! From a message board they told me I can clean it and reuse it so I think I am all set.

Nice vid, Bro. I just won one of these, pick it up next week from RB auctions. Seeing what things I need to fix before they break. I already hit TSC for new oil, ordered fans and temp guages from Amazon, looking into a hydraulic fluid cooler, because it regularly hits tripple digits here.

How many hours did you have on the machine when you changed the oil? That engine oil looked pretty dark.

Can u pls tell me where the hoses rout to from the hydraulic filter? One goes to upper hydraulic tank (return line) where does the other line run to? Thanks!
I have a qh 12. Getting to the oil looks like a giant pita and on the qh12 i cant get to the gas on off lever- heck i could hardly find it even knowing where it was.
Best thing to do is put one of those oil change hoses on it. Plus put a hinge on your rear cover so you have access
@JIgginCrappie yeah I just ordered the hose and I'll be doing the hinges this week for sure. I'm not even putting the cover back on till I have the hinges lol

What weight oil did you use?
I used 5-30
How many quarts hydraulic fluid it holds after drained
I drained out close to 2 gallons
@@JIgginCrappie What weight and brand of hydraulic fluid did you use? And do you rec. synthetic oil? What about a straight 30w oil.
