Water regeneration: a measure to combat droughts

The development of Europe and its regions is threatened by the scarcity of an essential resource: water.
Water is a common good and water solidarity is the basis for the progress of territories in the face of problems such as drought. Andalusia is one of the regions most affected by drought. For this reason, the Andalusian regional government has implemented plans to ensure that wastewater is no longer a waste product, but an additional resource. In the last five years, the production of recycled water in Andalusia has quadrupled. Good environmental practices and the water revolution underway since 2019 are helping the region to recover.
