  • A Theory of Change model aims to explain how an organisation can achieve impact.
    We've produced a Theory of Change to identify our pathway to achieving impact, whether that's through our overall work or a specific programme intervention. This Theory of Change model will help guide us in our work to ensure that we are fulfilling our mission. The model includes 3 pathways:
    Strengthening individuals
    Strengthening networks of local organisations
    Strengthening the humanitarian system
    These pathways are the ways in which we - together with our partners - can make most impact and create lasting change.
    Ultimately, we want to enable people to be better prepared and respond to crises in their own countries.
    As a learning organisation, we have a huge offer of learning content, different ways to access learning, and we document and evidence good practice. We have a huge reach of humanitarians, network of partners, an ever growing pool of leaders, coaches and mentors, and we convene spaces to bring people together. We are generating income to fund all of this work. Combining these existing areas of work with newly identified areas - particularly organisational development and influencing and advocating for change; the three pathways show how we can take all of this and get to where we want to be.
