Oh wow I wish it was me having a day out record hunting with you Mack. I see your German friend was having just that and I like his good taste for the blues. That place in Okie is certainly a jaw dropper alright, a record diggers dream. Thanks as always Mack and Auf Weidersien.
after i built my first record player for the sole purpose of playing the 1928 Mikado opera album, i started collecting 78s. i found a few that were very entertaining to listen to, haha -- but it's fun to go out and just peruse the stacks at flea markets, and antique stores
I’m glad OKC had some finds for you & your friend. Guestroom is my local shop. Ironically I was on my way back home to OKC from TX on Sunday where I spent the weekend shopping for used LPs. Next time we should coordinate better & we can slap high fives on I-35 as we pass each other in all that fun construction.
I remember the gems I used to find in Ben Franklin 5&10 when I was a kid in their bargain 45 bin, think the records were 5 or 10 cents. Jefferson Airplane, Turtles, Beatles, Beach Boys, all rare stuff that didnt make the top 40. I remember some gems like Bittersweet by the Robbs and If I needed someone by the Kingsmen.
What a fun day that was! Great memories. ❤️
Great to see you and Oliver diggin together!
That smile on Oliver's face said it all. He was super pleased!
I just discovered Smoky Hogg, a great blues man !

You and Oliver must be kindred spirits as you've got matching glasses. 👓👓
