- Hiram Bullock and his band rock the 1997 Syracuse Jazz Fest in downtown Syracuse, NY. Video was shot on a primitive camcorder, and the camera work is shaky, but the music is great - classic Hiram! Here's the songlist:
Window Shoppin' ( 00:40)
I Can't Get Next To You (05:54)
Bean Burrito (12:17)
Yesterday (13:59)
Got To Give It Up (16:07)
Dancin' In The Streets (17:45)
Hiram was one of a kind. I enjoyed his inventiveness and musicianship.
Damn my Hometown the Cuse, never knew he was there. I just came back from Fla.
He truly graced with his gift, there are no words, but Genius!!!!!!👑😎
I miss him so much....
Me too...
Met him at a jazz fest back stage.. he was super nice.
I was there filming as well, to Hiram's left. I was his guitar tech, transport service and webmaster and a close friend from 1997 til his death.
Hi Jack how great it must be to be so close with Hiram all these years. What happened to his legendary sunburst guitar? Best wishes from the Netherlands
@@joostpaauw It's in South Korea. Kim Jong Jin, who is one of the famous musician in Korea has it.
You can find the story of that guitar with a korean article (link below) written in 2004.

Gosh, what a beautiful, instructive friendship I’m sure that was. Very cool. Hiram Bullock, has probably had the biggest influence on my electric guitar playing.
The soul/gospel flavor of Yesterday, such creative genius. This performance just floors me, who is in the band?
I’m used to seeing the enduring awesome collaboration with Will Lee. This band is unbelievable!
I also meant to ask you, if you do not mind me, asking, what were the pot values for his Stratocasters with the HSB pickup configuration? I recall his instructional video saying that the middle pot is a volume pot delegated to the single coil pick up in the middle position. Thank you. 🙏🏼
I've been curious as to what effects he used... specifically the chorus.
That's so cool when he runs through the crowd and plays.
Thank for posting this content of Hiram Bullock
Awesome as always.Hiram was and it is a amazing musician.!!!!!!!!!!!f.v.
Thank you for making this available
Saw him at the late eighties Nashville NAMM Show, with his trio. Talked to his bass player Steve, really nice guy. I heard Hiram trying out Matchless amps at their booth. He played barefooted.
No middle gear with Hiram - he went for the throat from the first note. Miss him dearly.
Great sound! Great Hiram!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
3:18 cool!
Is that Frank Gravis on bass?
Yep - I was at this concert. (Was expecting Will Lee!) Also Clint DeGannon on drums and Katreese Barnes on keyboard.
/ Who is the keyboard lady singing Yesterday?
Katreese Barnes :-)
@@zandokaShe passed away also!!…Played a mean saxophone, too!!!
Beautiful guitar tones. Beautifully expressive playing. Huge loss.
