    I had a Cane Corso that we just lost this year. There really is no other breed like them. They are adorably stubborn, but they are soooooo worth the work and effort. Watching your pups reminds me of when Brutus was a baby. Great videos :)

    Wow Rachel, that was 👏🏽👏🏽AWESOME!!!👏🏽👏🏽. I’m really impressed on your training and feeding methods with these Beautiful dogs. You are so patient, and it shows in the respect your dogs have for you. It brings such joy to my heart watching you. It would be so wonderful if everyone who owned a dog would really educate themselves in all areas of owning God’s Beautiful creatures. There would be less abandoned dogs in animal shelters. Great Blog!!! Thank you so very much. Keep them coming. ❤️🙂🐕🙂❤️

    Only ever soaked the food for our dog with sensitive teeth, never thought about it that way. As for feeding together, tgats something ive always done. Viewed it as a bonding thing, as well as allowing me to assert some pack leader by keeping order. It does get easier, I don't have to remind not to eat from another's bowl anymore. If one gets too close there's no growling or tension. They just pass by and move on to something else

      Eating dry kibble is a need for the teeth. If a dog is given soft food on a daily they end up with tooth decay and gum infections. Some thing giving them a crunchy snack is enuf but it isn't. We see this problem in our office daily.

    • @luna00musen
      @luna00musen 5 років тому +9

      The thing is, it’s not velocitys bowl, it’s rachels bowl. Rachel is in charge of it, all, wich controls the dogs. If it was velocitys or any otherrdogs bowl, they would become obsessive and dominant because they are allowed to claim it. By Rachel claiming the bowls and correcting the dogs, she is in charge of their Life survivals, wich Also makes her the Leader/alpha. You will always want your dog to let go of stuff When you Tell Them, even if it’s Said by mistake, to keep that leading possition. In that Way, they Won’t have to mess or fight about the food (And even toys or other dogs) because “that’s mommy’s , she is in charge, and if there is a problem she will tell”.

    • @o0Vegas0o
      @o0Vegas0o 4 роки тому

      @@skrip2143 nope luna is right. There doesn't have to be a reason in dog language for rachael to take the bowl or to tell her not to eat her "own" food. She's the alpha and velocity knows that so it's not confusing at all.

    I like how you raise them in a way where you let there mother and father lead and raise there pack but also how you raise them by teaching them what's respectful in a human environment as well. So when they do leave your place to go to there adopted family they will be very well rounded with how you, very smartly decided to raise them . Strong and kind . Respectful and still have there instincts .

    Love your videos. I have a 7 year old female Cane Corso / Boxer mix and have trained her to sit with her food in front of her and wait for the okay to eat. I would sometimes get her water and set it next to the food while she waits. Seems hard on the dog but in reality it teaches the dog discipline, patience and obedience = reward. Understandably a pack of dogs would be more of a challenge but I believe that Preacher and Cashmere are trained enough to immediately sit (place food in front of them and told to "wait") then after a few seconds, given the okay to eat. The younger ones can quickly learn this and then introduced to pack feeding since a bit of patience would be required and it may be a bit unfair for the trained dogs to wait for the younger ones to learn. Imagine having all of them lined up with their food in front of them and they are looking at you intently, waiting for you to say "okay".

      My Pitts are on orijen 6 fish and have never had an allergy since... Their coats are shiny, teeth in good shape. We previously tried just about every brand on the market and there was always something. The 6 fish formula is a whole prey composition and its something like 85 percent whole fish.

    They recommended that I stick with what I'm using until more studies are done.

    A vet told me that grain free food is associated with a higher instance of heart disease. She said the problem, based on today’s current knowledge, is that grain-free pet foods rely on lentils, peas, and potatoes to replace grain. They lack a key ingredient that cats and dogs require, taurine. Taurine is an amino acid used in the production of protein. I was curious if you've ever heard of this.

    I have a Fila Brasilero / Malinois Shepherd mix. Since he's pretty tall at the withers, I put his food bowl in bucket weighed down by pebbles. The benefit is two-fold. He doesn't have to bend down as far to eat, and the weighted bucket stays in place.

I've owned a chow chow as well as a pitbull mix in the past, so I'm used to headstrong dogs. We've decided to try for one of ur litters in the future. Senza, great job with the feeding! I have 3 dogs and one puppy and the puppy is the hardest. They just have no attention span. Lol. I also soak the dry kibble because they just don't drink enough. From what I've read it's the fact that the kibble has no taurine and l-caratine in it. Feeding freeze dried or fresh muscle meat takes care of that. Is that what you've heard?
