When I played in the 360 there was this dude who was ALWAYS online on my main server who always ran a QBU with a flir, heavy barrel, laser sight, and potato grip. It was always hilarious when I died to that garbage

potato grip sounds like the ideal grip for that weapon lmao
Its not garbage, The flir makes it easier to hit headshots, the heavy barrel is for more accurate shots and the laser is for stability, I ran this loadout but i had vertical grip instead of potato

I sometimes like to run famas with heavy barrel/muzzle break and angled grip while only using the burst fire mode, it is surprisingly not that bad.

L86 so underrated even being a starting LMG similar to u-100, which is muuuuuuch worse. I know it has 30 rounds, but damn, the accuracy and recoil is supreme

The l85 is the L86 but with literally laser like aim. You don't have to burst anymore the bullet spread on that bullpup is 0 even on full auto spray.
I've been using the u100 a lot, since I got back into Battlefield 4. I used to be on the 360 and I had to start over on the Xbox One, and I've been shockingly surprised at how good I am with the u100. It doesn't... feeeeel... like a bad gun.
My only complaint is that the magazine feels slightly too short for what it is.
It's just short of good sustained suppressive fire.

I want to say, that when it comes to Mag-fed LMG's: the HD-33, 2x Magnifier, and Bipod are a match bestowed from the gods.
It gives the magfeds the ability to engage, in any way, at most distances.
The natural Mobility that comes from using a magfed means that it's competent at engagements from assault and submachine gun range.
The 2x magnifier allows you to reach out and touch someone from beyond your normal range, and the bipod needs no explanation. It is the gentleman's attachment.
I like the rpk tho, going iron sights with grip, laser, muzzle break is one of my favs for locker
