Great reaction. Autumn Strong is also called Late Autumn. It is a beautiful sad song. Dimash was invited to The Singer in 2017 in China. I saw that you reacted to Adagio. He sang that song to. He did perform the following songs: SOS, Opera 2, Uptown Funk, All by Myself, Daididau, Unforgettable Day, Daybreak, The Show Must go On, Confessa and the Diva Dance, A Tribute to MJ, Give me Love. Okay, you came up with a wonderful description of Dimash that I'm pretty sure no other reactor has said before you. Everyone says "alien" or "angel", but never has anyone said "He's in heaven's attic". Low bow to you for that one--- creative and original! I also appreciate your attention to the way that Dimash's voice becomes an instrument. He has done this with many different instruments, all of them equally flawless and amazing. But when his voice merges with a violin, in the same frequency and vibrato, as it does in this song, it's a whole other level of perfection...or heaven's attic as you said. Have you reacted to "Daybreak"..? Via Gloria Wu's Chanel you would get the SUPERIMPORTANT true and devestating backgroundstory to the song and the totally heartbreaking lyrics. And also Gloria has the behind the stage scenes about the fact that Dimash was ill and even lost his voice the day before the performence. He also sings "Daybreak" at the Bastau-concert. And it is even better. So it would be GREAT if you would do a double - first The Singer (with Gloria Wu's SUPERTRAGIC info about the making of this song) and then the version from the Bastauconcert.

Hi John & Lulu, hoping you read this but you were closer to the mark than you thought when you said this song should accompany a movie about the singer it's about. Because that's exactly what did happen! The song was indeed written (and sung) for a biopic made in Japan about her. But here's the more amazing thing - the song made its way back to Hong Kong, whose mega Cantopop star Jacky Cheung covered the song with Cantonese lyrics and it became an instant hit (like, Phil Collin's In the Air Tonight level hit) in Hong Kong, and the song was also featured in the Stephen Chow classic From Beijing with Love. Jacky then sang another version with Mandarin Chinese lyrics (the one that Dimash covered), which went on to have massive success in mainland China (this was in the 90s, around the time Hong Kong was returning home to the motherland). In a twist of fate, Yamaguchi symbolically found her way back into the hearts of the country that most adored her as a singer (her subsequent deportation notwithstanding). Her soul now lives on in a timeless piece of music, in a country she longed for.
That's why it was so special for the audience - here's a man from Kazakhstan, speaking virtually no Mandarin, hitting it out of the park with decent pronunciation (in less than a week!!) covering a song that so many of them knew and felt so deeply about.
