Thank you Daniel for showing us around this charming little town! I would imagine it would be full of activity and daily life out of lockdown and in the warmer seasons. Enjoy your well deserved break!👍
"Achter de kerk" that is exactly like the German "Plattdeutsch" that is spoken here with me. Thank you Daniel for the stories of your childhood memories.
I was born and raised here from 1966 to 1980. Leerdam had many legends that were passed on from parent to child. No child dared to take the path to the left of the Tiendweg that led to the dike on the linge. Very scary stories of Freemasonry and human sacrifice were told by Uncle Rut Maas. Rut lived with his two brothers, none of whom had ever been in a relationship. On 14.29 Berta, popularly called fat Berta, lived. We were terrified of her as a child. Poor woman, didn't seem to have any harm in it. Leerdam, a beautiful town with a rich history. For those who are interested, there is much to be found about the history of this beautiful town.
Traditonal Dutch architecture is so beautiful. Stockholm architecture has some Dutch influence. In Buenos Aires is Plaza de la Reina de Holanda, in Puerto Madero, which was inaugurated in 2004. Nearby is Edificio de la Dirección de Correos y Telégrafos (now a cultural center) designed by Swedish architect Carl August Kihlberg and the Presidential House (Casa Rosada) designed by Swedish architect Henrik Åberg, in the XIX century.
Oh, I've been so looking forward to this! What a pretty little town! I don't really know any Dutch, but I can say in Afrikaans, " Dit is 'n lekker dorp!" I spent some time in South Africa back in the 70's!
I spot an optician 'Hans anders', and learn that 'anders' means different. The Swedish given name Anders seems to have no relation to this meaning despite the similarity to 'annorlunda', 'annorstädes' and 'annorledes' (different, other place, other case) and 'annars' (If not). Swedish Anders is just from Andreas, originating in greek andros=man.
Google translate imagined Leerdam might mean läderdam - Leather Lady. That would be a delight, but I understand it's dam. I never knew the meaning of all your -dam cities 🤓
I dont prefer Sweden to any other country. I've been looking forward to this country. Actually I find Korea and Japan very nice especially around Christmas with the light displays they do. I just watch this channel for your comments and personality not really the country.
Hello everyone 🤗! Is there someone who can help me with some informations about living in Leerdam? Costs about renting a house or an apartment, food prices and how s the life day by day :D:D. Thank youuuu

Great video. Happy New Year to all !!!
It looks a lot more old school then Stockholm in Netherlands
Kinda retro
I like it
"Achter de Kerk", interestingly 'akter' means aft, stern (on a boat), so kind of "behind the midpoint" - but not in any other context.
Nice place! Thank you for sharing this walk!
You are welcome
So nice! It almost looks too perfect? I would love to visit one day.
Leuk , dankjewel 🙏.
Graag gedaan

Haha na meer dan 300 wandelingen weet ik überhaupt niet meer wat ik doe
Vlakbij Gorinchem dus, moest Leerdam wel opzoeken. Heb je hier je Airbnb? Lijkt een mooie stad. Veel plezier in Nederland. Hoe lang blijf je daar?
Ja inderdaad lekker dichtbij. Ik heb tenslotte ook vakantie. Dankjewel...1 week
What do you think about other Stockholm walkers ? Sweden Eye, Nordin Walks, Stockholm Walks ... etc ?
They are nice, but its quite different because I talk. Different experience
@@letswalkaroundstockholm like that you talk my friend😃👌
@@ostbagar3 Yes its personal & interactive

Yes
Google translate imagined Leerdam might mean läderdam - Leather Lady. That would be a delight, but I understand it's dam. I never knew the meaning of all your -dam cities 🤓
Haha yes it's like all the "holm" and "Köping" in Sweden

No idea tbh sorry.
je ziet nu het verschil met zweden in bouwstijl veel minder kleurrijk natuurlijk is dit geen vergelijk en veel plezier in ons land
I couldn’t live there ,its to boring for me
Those conceited Dutch people always brag about their language skills😁Mijn Duits en Frans zijn ook toppie, groetjes uit het Van Gogh dorp.
Haha yeah. Groetjes terug
