Such a wonderful Schooner! Gary, you, and all the rest of us must be delighted by her intricacy and graceful sailing. A lovely video as well!
Viewers, this is a wooden, home made model with hand-stitched sails!
Congratulations!

Beautiful.
Thank you for sharing! Watching this video was a true delight, sublime!
She even creaks! Very cute!
Beautyfull model do you Dell the plans?
Plans are available here: www.bearospaceindustries.com/boats2.html Mine is the "Irene" version, with gaff option. I modified mine adding topmasts to support extra sails. Photos, descriptions, plus plenty of support, can be found in this forum: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2550991-Bearospace-schooner-Irene/
Is this the Annie or Irene design. Love the topsails and stay sails
It's an Irene. At the time, Annie plans were not yet available. You can see earlier videos of my boat in its pre-topsail configuration in this UA-cam playlist. tinyurl.com/Kamanik
Wow! I had a look at your Le Soleil Royal. That sure is a labour of love. The plywood Irene design is dead simple compared to that.
wunderschön
That looks great! Does adjusting the sail plan require other modifications (e.g. ballast, hull, etc.)?
There is a long forum thread devoted to the Bearospace Irene design at: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2550991 You'll find many pages of photos and discussions illustrating how others have personalized their boats. The biggest change on mine, other than needing one more winch servo to tack the headsails, is that my modifications increased the boat's weight by 10%. Gary's plan shows the Irene at 25 lbs, whereas mine now weighs about 27.5 lbs. It makes the boat sit slightly lower in the water, but it's hardly noticeable. I was worried adding all that extra weight high up, topmasts & topsails, plus the increase in height of the centre of pressure on the sails, would make the boat more prone to tipping over. But again, it's hardly noticeable. Gary's original design is remarkably robust and stable. I don't think the extra sails provide any performance advantage, but they sure look nice!
