There is Nothing awkward in having a song sung in honour of you, when the song is meant to represent what you represent - the country. If you have read the whole anthem from verses 1 thru 3, you will realise it's meant to honour a monarch who does good, who respects the laws and the saving is that the holder is always Saved by God and protected from doing anything harmful or being harmed.
