my first day of highschool went like this: at first I was scared (of course) but then when I got there I saw some friends and felt better. So a little before school started we hung out in the hall and then I had art, which I had no idea where to sit (no friends) that was awkward... then I went to all my other classes and it was like a normal school day, not very exciting or anything. I just was socially awkward. But for lunch I found a couple of my friends and there were no tables left so we sat in the hallway 😂. But now we have our own table so it's all Gucci.
First day of high school had to be one of the most anxious and scary days of my life. After a few days you realize the freedom that you have and you realize how mature you are. My first day of my sophomore year was today and I have to be honest I was not scared at all. I didn't really care about anything today. I've learned to make do with the current situation no matter what the situation is and I think that it's important for people to realize that you cannot change anything about the past at all so there is no reason to think about past situations. Always staying focused on what you can do to make your experience as a student as best as can be is the best thing you can do. Once your focused, school and life in general is a breeze!!

Now here's the thing, my grade school is actually right across the street from me so I could of left way later then everyone else but my grade school started at 9:15 but my high school starts at 8:15 and I have to go to the bus at 7:45 (cause my bus driver is usually late so I have to be there earlier) and so yeah I walked to my grade school so I'm still

I started middle school Today I'm a 6th Grader and I was scared when I was on the bus but after that I made a friend in every hour so I now have like 6 or 7 friends.I couldn't get my locker open during 1st hour because they gave us locker practice,but once they gave us more direction I can get it every single time. Btw it took a whole 5 minutes or more to figure it out so don't think I'm soooo goood at opening lockers,I had a very helpful friend right next to me.And If anybody is starting Middle School Like me Just pay attention to your teacher and say hi to someone every once in a while. I had my first day of 8th grade a couple of days ago. My hair is super thick so I have a hard time using curling irons because i can never get the curl I want. So I took a shower the night before the first day of school, put my hair in rollers because that works really well for me, and went to bed. So, I woke up, at some breakfast, brushed my teeth and all that, then I started to take my rollers off. My hair was still damp because my pillow sucked up all the water and it leaked kinda, so my head was laying in water all night. So my hair never curled. So I quickly blow dried it and got dressed, when I barely had time to look in the mirror again before I had to leave. My mom took my picture before we left and I didn't go to the bathroom that whole day because idk.. So anyways, my hair LITERALY looked like an Afro the whole day because, as it was drying it decided to curl and it was hot outside so it exploded. Sorry for the long story, it was just super embarrassing...😆

In Venezuela there is no "high" instead we have in one place "primary school, middle school and high school" all the years are there, from first grade to fifth year of high school, not all the school are like that, the primary school are separated from the "middle school and high school" we call them "Liceos" (the middle school and high school are together) and we do not change our class room to go to another subject, just when we change course. Also all the schools wear uniforms, the kindergarten wear : Read shirt and a blue sporty pant. The primary students: White shirt and blue pants with a belt and black shoes. The middle schoolers: Blue shirt, blue pants with a black belt and black shoes. The high schoolers: Beige shirt, blue pants with a belt and black shoes. The only thing that change is the shirt. Some schools are run by nuns, in those schools, the girls wear skirts.

Today was my first day in 8th grade it was ok i don't want to go back tomorrow I'm really stressed😭

Don't stress at all. School is going to go by super fast. I wish I was still in Middle School or High School but I'm 21 and in college so...don't stress. I promise it gets better and it goes by super quick as you grow up.
My first day of 8th grade was on Aug. 27th. It was so fun. their is nothing to be afraid of. It will go bye so quick that next thing you know its the first day of High School. Good Luck tomorrow and don't be stressed!

I go to the school neighbouring my older brother's (literally right next to eachover. share buses and everything). And his only words to me on my first day were "you can't sit on the top level of the bus. We don't know eachover."

I'm from the UK so we have Primary School which is age 3/4 till 11/12 and then High School which is age 11/12 till 15/16 and I'm 14 so this year I started year 10 which is my fourth year of high school, it's weird how different UK & US schools are x
In Australia, we only have primary school and high school. Primary school is from kindergarden to year 6 (it used to be seven when I graduated) and high school is now from grades 7-12, although they only began to put year 7s in high school this year. I'm in year 10, so I've still got 3 years to go. I don't know what grade I'd be in if I lived in America, but I'm only a few months older than Paige.
Today was my first day in high school to. And it was terrifying. It went pretty well until the school messed up my class schedule so I was in the math class when I should have been in science class. Not that anyone cares but it's awful cause tomorrow I have to make sure I find the office get this new schedule and make it in time for homeroom!!
I'm just wondering something about how your school works because I'm Canadian so I don't know if it's different in America because I was born in 2000 (same year as Paige) but I am in grade 10 this year. Our grade levels are determined by whether your birthday is after January 1st whether you are in each grade. Is September the determining month there or what??? Just wondering if anyone could help me out

Completely different education system to Australia! We don't have a middle school, just primary (elementary) and high school. I'm in my final year of high school which is called year 12 :)

Paige I really like you! You are so kind and sweet like Chloe and a great dancer! I dont think you were the best dancer but you didn't deserve to be treated the way Abby treated you; Abby was a bitch to you and I felt bad to see you sad because no one should have to go through that; Abby lowered yours and everyone else's self-esteem and she'd always say how you and Brooke didn't dance well or weren't as interested in dance, of which, honestly, maybe that may not have happened if she treated you guys well and gave you more attention
Last week was my first day of "kinda high school" cause in my country we don't have that like really in USA. But yeah, is kinda. It was very normal. The only bad thing is that I was three days late (cause I was traveling in Europe) soo the already started and... Yeah

Today I'm a 6th Grader and I was scared when I was on the bus but after that I made a friend in every hour so I now have like 6 or 7 friends.I couldn't get my locker open during 1st hour because they gave us locker practice,but once they gave us more direction I can get it every single time. Btw it took a whole 5 minutes or more to figure it out so don't think I'm soooo goood at opening lockers,I had a very helpful friend right next to me.And If anybody is starting Middle School Like me Just pay attention to your teacher and say hi to someone every once in a while. I just moved sooo I had to go to a different middle school then all my friends. (I moved in May or June btw).

My first Day was crazy cause I was going into 8th grade & I was so lost i couldnt find haif of my classes & everyone was freaking out when I was near then since im 5'11 😂 & btw I have gym 7th period :)
I had my first day of 8th grade a couple of days ago. My hair is super thick so I have a hard time using curling irons because i can never get the curl I want. So I took a shower the night before the first day of school, put my hair in rollers because that works really well for me, and went to bed. So, I woke up, at some breakfast, brushed my teeth and all that, then I started to take my rollers off. My hair was still damp because my pillow sucked up all the water and it leaked kinda, so my head was laying in water all night. So my hair never curled. So I quickly blow dried it and got dressed, when I barely had time to look in the mirror again before I had to leave. My mom took my picture before we left and I didn't go to the bathroom that whole day because idk.. So anyways, my hair LITERALY looked like an Afro the whole day because, as it was drying it decided to curl and it was hot outside so it exploded. Sorry for the long story, it was just super embarrassing...😆
I hate Highschool I have no friends and I'm a loaner which causes a lot of anxiety any tips on how to make friends when your in grade 12 and I did not write this for any of you to feel sorry me 😜☺️

I wasn't nervous and my brother left for collage so a lot of seniors would come up to me and say oh your his sister blah blah blah and I got lunch with my best friends and I sit with the seniors and of course my friends... 😂
omg I remember freaking out in high school cuz I had to ride the bus when all the cool kids got rides with their upperclassmen friends 😆 it was the biggest deal in the world to me back then. now I look back on it like wtf

hope you have a wonderful time. I started 3 weeks ago. and I immediately made friends. you might have classes with seniors but don't be scared. they're usually laid back and nice.
I'm in Australia so we haven't finished our school year yet, i start year 9 in February. Here you move into high school in year 7 finish in year 10. Then you have years 11 and 12 as college.
In Venezuela there is no "high" instead we have in one place "primary school, middle school and high school" all the years are there, from first grade to fifth year of high school, not all the school are like that, the primary school are separated from the "middle school and high school" we call them "Liceos" (the middle school and high school are together) and we do not change our class room to go to another subject, just when we change course.
Also all the schools wear uniforms, the kindergarten wear : Read shirt and a blue sporty pant. The primary students: White shirt and blue pants with a belt and black shoes. The middle schoolers: Blue shirt, blue pants with a black belt and black shoes. The high schoolers: Beige shirt, blue pants with a belt and black shoes. The only thing that change is the shirt.
Some schools are run by nuns, in those schools, the girls wear skirts.
I'm a sophomore and freshman year wasn't that bad except I had pe 1st period 2 and it sucked cuz we had to run a mile every Thursday!!!! 😒😝
I am a 7th grader next year I will be in high school because 8,9,10,11,12 are in the same high in front royal va there is two high school warren county witch are wildcats and skyline witch are hawks
Where I live, 'high school' represents a school for people aged 12-16. And school starts at the start of the year, not in September. I've always wondered why school years start near the end of the year for some countries. xD
Lmao me and my brother have lunch together cause at my school the 9&11s have the same lunch and the 10&12s do so it kinda works out but my first day is tomorrow and I'm kinda nervous😁
