Mosquito is not realy a good spinning lake, its mostly for float and bottom fishing. The first good spining lake is Belaya river at lvl 12 and than Kuori and Volkov. The game is very complex and you need to match the spot and the bait or it will just not work. One of decent spots on Mosquito is 87.87 clip 8 with hook 24 to 20 size with worm for ruffe at night with feeder rods. can get nice silver for them. If you need any help or information about spots or anything else I would be glad to help.

Oh, I know. At least 3 years ago I had the advantage of growing with the game, so I did just fine at the time. With all the updates and changes, plus being old and forgetting how to play, I really feel like I a totally new player all over again! I don't know if European fishing is more complex than American fishing or just different, but it seems far more complicated! Yeah, any help you can provide would be much appreciated! I think I will be okay at the Winding Rivulet. I really has not changed as much and that was one of my favorite locations originally!

@@HawkeyeM I suspect North America has far more predatory fish than Europe has therefore a lot of the fishing is for the non predatory species.
As catch and return is second nature in NW Europe, the larger long lived fish do learn to be extremely wary, more so as the population density over here means fishing waters face a lot more pressure from Anglers than North America in general. All of this adds up to having to constantly devise and perfect methods and baits, some of which are very intricate.

@@HawkeyeM As the person above posted the europe fishing is much more focused on carp and course fishing. Thats means that most of the lakes have the high emphasis on float and bottom fishing rather than spinning. In general for the beginning the best course of action would be to focus on one type of fishing ad gather some founds.
Early on the Winding Rivulet gives by far the most exp and silver with the starting gear. I would suggest to try float fishing just behind the winding rivulet cafe or even go with the flow and search where the best biterate is, the map is very small so it does not take long, use fly or casters/bloodworm with the smallest hook you can get on the float rod - size 24-22 would be the best with the depth of 17cm (the lowest you can set). You will be targeting very small fish - mostly bleak and dace, they are small usualy 50-100 gram, but they offer very good silver if you get them with the green checkmark.
I would mainly try and target those two fish and save around 150 silver, this will allow to buy the most important upgrade of early game, the Feeder fishing. start kit, they are very good and you will use them for a long time. The best idea is to buy 3 sets of that kit so you have 3 bottom rods, this will allow you to gather more founds and level up faster in the early game. With those 3 sets you will be than able to target anything thats around the size of 2-4kg, and the early game money maker bream on Old burg.
If you save for those 3 sets than you can save up for some better gear for spinning for Belaya starting from level 12. a decent setup for that map cost around 700-800 silver and you will be able to get most of grayling and trout there with not a lot of issues. The spinning setup i mentioned is Syberia linear S68ML - this require a 3000 size reel or smaller, so it pairs up well with Express Fishing Lagoon 3000s, 7.2 kg braid line from Syberia hybrid 350m lenght and a 6.4 kg fluorocarbon leader.
Also, what is very important for early game spin shishing - avoid pike at all cost, they can bite through any line beside the thickest Fluorocarbon (55kg) and steel leader. But the incorrectly selected leader will also drop your biterate or even you will not catch anything.
If you would like to jump into a discord call or anything of sorts let me know and I'll help as much as I can.

RF4 do a total reset of records at the start of the year now, so the "all time" records are just annual records.
Spikers, the 3g versions are the meta spinners these days, and the small hornets are reliable as well, The Akillas can still have their day though.
With another free spinning rod from admin you could troll with 3 rods if you're brave. That said, not sure it's worth it for Mosquito.
The snowmen and their stalls always outstay their welcome but this year they're lingering far longer, I'm guessing they'll remove them in one go with the new map update. There's an xmas telestick event now over xmas and new year where you can catch gift bags at as spot on mosqutio.

Yeah, I kind of got that impression from Dula's videos! I just wanted to make sure that Mosquito got some quality time. I had though about using my old profile since I have plenty of feeder rods to go after bigger fish, but I am kind of enjoying starting over from scratch!

btw, if you do go back to your old account, chances are that all your skill points were reset, so you need to reallocate them... everyone got a skill reset when they introduced Amber lake. Amber lake was when they totally revamped carp fishing introducing a lot of new methods and bait mounting options, not to mention a lot of new carp baits such as artifcial corn, pellets, pop-up and sinking boilies.

if you are going to use the leaderboard to see what they are biting on. you wil need to look on weekly - and youre location "Other region - USA ect ect" what you where looking at was the biggest fish ever captured in mosquito.and if you are getting snag. just change between the 2 free lakes or just do Alt F4

No. My headset is overly sensitive to ANY sound. It seems to be picking up the fan that we have in the room. I need a better one, but have not had the money to get something that has better noise canceling abilities.

it is, but as a consequence, the sense of achievementr when you get a trophy is far more in RF4 than any other fishing game, in general a trophy in RF4 is far harder than a unique in FP, and as for a blue tag super trophy, well you'll be punching the air and smiling for months.

It is a lot tougher! When I first played over 3 years ago I had learned as the game progressed. Now I have missed so much I feel like a total noob! Plus, European fishing is not easy since I am not as familiar with their gear, tackle, groundbait usage, etc.!
